Once when I was vacationing in MN and I helped out my uncle to cut his grass. I wore long pants and I even went to bed in that pants. I know my mistake plus no showing either. Not sure what I was thinking maybe I am shy to take a shower at other people house. Anyway, I slept and felt bug bites on my leg all night long. When I woke up, I saw bites in perfect formation like rows n rows being planted. I added itchy cream on it to rid the itchiness. Turns out that whatever bit me was laying her eggs into my skin. Once the baby came out, it was dead because I kept on adding different itchy creams on the affected areas. I never seen a bug bite so uniform like a crop circle being done by ufo before. I never get to see what insect species it is either. Glad I didn't lose a leg.

Jocelyn, I've read the spirit totem meaning for centipedes is good luck & fortune & that they are highly reveered as such! Some people even keep them in a small container in their pocket for that very reason. So maybe that was a blessing in disguise & since it didn't bite you that was your first good fortune!!! 💝

Speaking of メロンパン, once I visited Santa Barbara CA, and realized that Mexican bread are actually very much like Taiwanese bread I'm used to. After some googling, it seemed Mexican pastry is originated from Japan(Many Taiwanese bread are originated from/influenced by Japan). Didn't look further, but based on the taste, that's probably why they tasted so similar. The only big difference being the flour used. :)

We have similar, if not the same, centipedes here on Maui and throughout Hawaii. They are definitely not fun, their bite is feels like an electric shock at first, and then gets worse. I have seen some people have bad reactions to them as well. I have been bitten, and have also killed dozens of them in my many years living on Maui. We even have one species that gets up to 8 or 9 inches, and I have seen photos of larger, but haven't seen one in person. Some of the worst type are the blue smaller ones, though the big ones are just as bad if it reacts to being threatened. There is also a local legend that the centipedes travel in pairs, and I can confirm that if you find one, there may be another in the area as well. Crush the head, and you will kill it, though there is also a legend that if you burn it, they call in more centipedes. Chickens eat them, and love them, so keeping chickens can help keep them away or at least manage them.
We also have the Huntsman spiders (called Cane Spiders here), though I've never seen one the size of the ones I saw in Australia (the one foot wide variety), mostly up to a large hand size here. I used to dislike them, and get rid of them, but they are actually excellent cockroach hunters, so I'd say pick your battle there, but they get a full pass from me, and I have never had a bad experience with them besides being unnerved when I see one. I dislike the cockroaches far more, and nothing I have found hunts a cockroach more efficiently/effectively than a Huntsman spider. The one in the video looks like a female, and are more rare to see than the males.
Good luck, I really enjoy your videos, and be thankful you didn't get bitten by the centipede, it's an experience you don't want, and won't forget. The Huntsman are not fun to see, but they are nowhere as bad as a centipede.

Good thing u didn't get bit by it cuz they can be painful and like you read, its not as easy on the pain levels a bee sting makes, plus like you said they have venom, which is potent for a simple insect. I can't imagine waking up from that situation nd realizing what it was. I had a wolf spider crawl up my mouth the other night nd I felt it as it crossed my lips nd I grabbed at it fast as possible nd caught it inside my fingers nd squished it while throwing it but worried it bit me within that time but I figured it was most likely a wolf spider nd they don't have a bad bite compared to most others, they are very big around here tho in my area of Oregon nd abundant on my property,so that's not the first or even 3rd time its happened to me,just when it wakes u up or happens in the dark it definitely startles you lol
