As an East Coaster I never understood the cultish craze for In-N-Out. The service is great but the food is very average. Fatburger was always my go to West Coast burger… best onion rings ever.
@@DJ-nn6vg it's kind of like why people like pho. it's not the most flavorful bowl of soup and noodles, but it's just comforting. a solid double double with a whole chili pepper is just comforting. if you're expecting the most flavorful in your face burger, of course you'll be disappointed at in n out.
Welcome back to Cali!! Can't believe you guys were actually gone for 6 months! Crazy! And I agree 100% with you guys on what you said about In & Out! So nostalgic and delicious.
I’m Vietnamese and been a chef all my life, next time try having the Bun Bo Hue with Pho noodles, so much better, it absorbs the broth better and has a better texture.
Yummy Goodness !!! There is no place like Home ! It is so nice to know where the Goodies are !!! Enjoy your stay ! Enjoy your Lemon Scones ! See ya on the next Vlog !
Welcome back! ¡Bienvenidos! I have to hit my favorite spots, when I go back to Watsonville CA, as well! Nostalgia is strong! I go to the panadería and my favorite taco trucks and burrito restaurants. I recommend El Frijolito for burritos! 😊 Hey Taku, coffee cakes aren’t named that because they’re coffee flavored. It’s because they’re meant to be had with your hot coffee. Café con pan is the same idea.
Food looks amazing!!! Love watching your content. I've actually recreated your crab ramen recipe but unfortunately some things are hard to source in Australia, but my family loved it.
I don't find myself out on the peninsula too often, but if I'm ever in the area, I will always stop by Coconuts in Palo Alto for some chicken patties. Everyone always talks about Jamaican beef patties, but I think the chicken patties are severely underrated. I get cravings just about every month or so. Living out in central valley for a few years, you definitely start to crave the food here in the Bay. My In-N-Out order is prety similar, but I actually like the whole onion grilled on the flat top. I'll definitely have to try Cuco's some time.
If you’re ever in the San Jose area I strongly suggest you check out Bertucelli's La Villa Gourmet. Awesome Italian deli and also Clover which is a Japanese bakery!
When you said you scarfed the in and out burger, I remember Josalin saying you inhale your food, which is why she takes the bite first because she knows it will disapear once you get your hands on it. I remember you saying it is because in your home growing up, there was compatitions for food between siblings.
I recommend East Bay Bakery in Dublin. Indonesian family owned and they're celebrating their 1 year anniversary/ Grand Opening. Everything is delicious but we always order their Kouign-amann everytime we visit.
Welcome back to the BA! Loved this video. I was just in San Mateo last week and wish I had know about all of these great places. You guys should do a monthly video of just food places you hit up!!
Welcome back to California 🎉 In n Out HANDS DOWN!!! Super reasonable, and so deeelicious! 5 guys is 5 thumbs down. I went a couple times, and they kept messing up my order. So much grease, and highly over priced. Ohhh man, those prawns looked uhhhmazing! Are they as good as Alaska prawns?
🌴 well you two you have to admit it there’s just no place like home 👠🌪 it’s been a whirlwind vacation but time to get the real adventure Van ready for the next surprise video of course that’s after y’all get settled back in , all that foods got me hungry, glad your back !

Suadero tacos, burgs, and the horse sounds from the apple turnover snak! had a bbq pork bahn mi for brekke this morning so i get the viet addiction. Solid foodie episode. From san diego, working outta pensacola fl, wishing i was in baja. Do more of these please! Livin vicariously through you two.
Hi guys, nice that you are back home, I was wondering, what the heck did you guys do with the van in Newzeland? Did you sell it? Blessings to both of you from Coachella California.
I get double meat animal style, with a neapolitan shake, and fries. I remember when I was a kid, In N Out burgers used to have like 1/2 inch of iceburg, which helped me convince my parents that it was healthy. 😆 I gotta put Backhaus scones & Gao Viet on my list!
We were lucky enough in Gainesville FL to have two In-N-Out's there. Google the history for an interesting read. It was one of the founders sisters I think. I lived there in the 70's on. Double double and the giant bag of fries. Yum Yum!
How did i miss this post?! This was great! Omg, i'm going to have to go get some scones now from the bakery :) I'm so happy that we finally met you and Jocelyn at the street fair. It made my kids and my day, thank you❤❤
Welcome all the way back home! You guys can really put some food away 😂. I was hoping to hear some about your search for a place to live and watching you put everything in storage on your last video before leaving the US? How was the search and what are the pros and cons of the new place? Thanks again!
Hey Taku you should make "Tom Kho Tau" for Jocelyn. its a vietnamese fresh prawn dish, that signature dish at Gao might be that type of Dish but His version.
Your Vietnamese is on point Taku! Love it. Just saying Bun Bo Hue and Banh Beo is hard for so many people……. And you’re right Jocelyn. Don’t like going there just because it’s so pricey for viet food, but everything is delicious there and it’s San Mateo….
So True on the Mexican food here in NZ not a lot of authentic Mexican food. Though I have found two Mexican restaurant in Pukekohe I've tried their street tacos 🌮 there pretty good the closest things I've seen to the taco you guys have and the ones you would get Mexico, I think the main one I've been too are from Argentina. Though I would love to try crab boil with actual crab not prawns. Or even with actual yabies, or crawfish. Lol
i just had in-n-out for the first time visting Cali first stop after landing and im gonna miss it so much being in Michigan, i had to go multiple times 😅
Annnnnnd they're building an In N Out two blocks from me here in Loveland CO as we speak, cant wait, travel for work, love those burgers... I'm sure the wait will be a nightmare when they first open...
Lol .saying Nz doesn't do Mexican food properly..yet scones in America are not traditional scones.. but hay every where does things differently.. Must say though all the food looked fantastic.. Thanks for the sharing this part of your lives with us all.. Peace..✌✌✌✌✌✌

Your description/explanation of In-n-out was spot on, exactly how I explain it to my out of state friends. Welcome back!

Welcome back to the bay guys! Just recently moved back, and nothing beats the food here ❤
6:35 no other fast food burger place is as cheap or as fresh as IN N OUT. The hot patty with the cold lettuce 🥬 tomato 🍅 and onions 🧅 is the best!
Ahhh!! I just can’t get enough of you guys!! So glad your back safe and sound and looking forwards towards more content!!!🎉
Thanks for watching! :D

Thanks for the shoutout 🥳 so stoked to see that we made it on your favorite lists! We love seeing y’all come by the the bakery!
Another bakery strong recommendation when you guys are heading through Pacifica. Rosalind Bakery in the Manor Strip mall, is dang good. Welcome home !

So fitting that they were playing Californication as you were eating the tacos お帰り
Right?!
Home Sweet Home. Thanks for sharing your kiwi adventures. In-N-Out and Mexican food is what I miss most when leaving SoCal. 😋👍
Nice to see you and Jocelyn back in the Bay Area. Food look deliouse.

For your next In n Out trip, try:
Double double, mustard fried, grilled whole onion, extra pickles
Hell nah that's a watery mess😂😂😂
Can't wait to see you in the water again and having lunch on the beach
I love the in n out speech kinda spoke to my heart
Glad to have you back in the bay! Love you guys!
As a Kiwi I've been told all my life from people that have traveled abroad that "you have to try Mexican food in Mexico!". It's on the to do list!
I've ingrained in my kids' heads that the beach and In-N-Out are their birthrites as California natives. They love both.
The next time you guys hit Bodega Bay I recommend the Freestone Bakery. Its a wood fire bakery and the scones and bread is amazing!
Wild Flour! We've been trying to go there for years but their schedule never lines up with ours. 😢
Welcome back that last restaurant looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love Vietnamese cuisine
Vietnamese is a favorite!
