I've had three Kaufman trailers that I have had to move different types of equipment. I have sold two of them and kept the 12' single axil over built Utility trailer. The other two I sold, my equipment trailer I had for 4 years I sold it for $1,000 less then what I purchased it for and the 16' dual axil landscape I had longer that I didn't use any more I still got a good price for it and it was still in like new condition. You will LOVE that trailer as I do with mine! I also made the three trips to NC to get all three of my trailers. My salesman is Richard and he is as well and awesome guy! I do plan to get a dump trailer in the future. God Bless.
Great video, I actually live in the NC Area and see many of them around but I now know much more about their dump thanks to your video. The same trailer is now about 13% higher thanks to our nations inflation and steel prices, glad you moved on it when you did, I am now trying to calculate my purchase timing.

Nice trailer! sure trac price seems high. I got mine new in delaware county outside of philly this year in the spring. 7x12. tarp. pintle. spare tire. 12k with teloscopic for $7995.

That's a really good price. I have a 5x8 utility trailer does what I need at the moment wouldn't mind having a dump trailer but that might be down the road someday. Enjoy your trailer I know you will.

The trailer company I am looking at told be about 9k delivered to me in Seattle and they are just East of Los Angeles. I am also doing the homework as well bur will be some time before I get one for sure.. Congrats in the 1k subscriber mark. In 7 months too..
Great video Brad ! Appreciate your research and sharing the results. I agree though you should have grabbed the spare an mount IMHO. The rollout tarp is very important too. Loads have to be tarped here in Pa,not sure about other states, but I think would be an important safety item anyway……common sense. It will be interesting to see in a few years how the paint vs powder works out. I think like you, the metal prep is the important factor…..hope you get many years of work out of your investment! few years ago I bought a used suretrack trailer. first time I drove up on ramps the braces started falling out since they missed welds. guy I bought it from used it for roofing and its a 2 piece floor, so floor is all bent. it came with no D-rings. 7k Jack. nothing special on tool box to hold door. I ended up welding in D-rings, fixing ramps, added a shock absorber for tool box. mounting a solar battery charger on it and installed a 12k jack on it. there's a reason why there's a huge price difference in some brand trailers
Great review of the trailer and it sounds like you did a fairly good job at shopping around and that Kaufman make a nice trailer (or 2 or 500 a week). It irritates me that dump trailer sides don't swing around essentially flush with the sides. Yours look like they aren't hanging out much more than the width of the mudguards but some hang out close to 45 degrees which has to be a major pain when you are working in narrow confines.
You're right some of the paint on my Big Tex dump trailer is flaking off. If you have to have a tag on your trailer in that state, don't mount it down on the bottom. It will drag when you dump and bend the crap out of it. Mount on the back door with round headed bolts bringing them from the inside out. That's my experience anyway.
That's a nice trailer boss I do sell firewood also and I do logging just so good advice run 14 ply tires in your trailer can haul a hell a lot more and it's very stable on the highway or in the forest them template tires are no good
I have a class A as well. If the trailer is over 10,000 pounds and the combination is over 26,000 pounds you would need an A CDL. I worked in the commercial vehicle division for several years
Dang so 2 years later kaufman price is 10k (+2k). Other brands are in the 12k+, so they are still cheaper. The other brands will be powdercoated and larger ibeam frame, both of which I don't think is much of a benefit. If you're getting the trailer delivered it's +1.XK. There is no 3% cash discount... they price it as such if paying with card, you pay 3% more.

I am with you on the paint instead of powder coat, I have powder coated bumpers on my F-250 and the powder coat flakes off and it is not easy to repair the rust that is going to happen in Indiana. Also You have helped inspire me to get off my hind end and start my videos. I too lost my Dad a couple years ago and dearly miss the talks we had. Need a CDL class A license to pull that trailer? Besr info I've seen says "yes you do". Doesn't bother me. Already have a Class A.

Is the trailer is $10k a 3% discount is only $300. My opinion that isn’t alone worth it. Does this have electric/hydraulic Up/down or just up?
