love the holy diver, have it in a ltd viper, this thing is a swiss army knife of sounds, can shred like the best of them but also sound very open, happy and clean.
Absolutely perfect demo. What I would have liked to hear is now artificial harmonics come out of these slightly lower output pickups. Bkp tends to have no problems with harmonics or clarity, though :)
Thank you so much mate, very cool of you! Ha, must have missed it on this one, I tend to include at least a couple of riffs with harmonics, but you’re absolutely BKP has artificial harmonics and clarity covered even on their lower output pickups🍻
Always the best in the business! Curious how you would describe the relative differences between the Holy Diver and Silo. My understanding is they are very close (same magnets and wire gauge and nearly identical output) with a different wind and pole piece being the only differences, and commentary from Nolly suggests the Silo will have more bass, little fatter mids, and a little more rolled off in the highs. Looking to see if you share in this perspective. Also, curious if you can tell a difference in dynamics such as compression, punchiness, pick attack, bite, woodiness, etc. and if the implication is that the HD will have any noticeable difference in low end tightness. Finally, any thoughts on if either option would have an edge for mid to lower gain alt rock kinds of stuff. Got a new axe that I dont want to go through a lot of pickup roulette on. PRS Tremonti Baritone Hybrid (25.5" sale, maple neck, wraparound bridge but tunes to standard and Drop D, so lots of snap and attack but still full and balanced although it comes off as a little light in the bass in standard tuning). Tried True Grits first. Think the neck is a keeper, but the bridge could use a little more warmth and upping the mids and bass too.
Hi mate, thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it. Yeah, pretty much what Nolly said, the Silo is definitely similar to the Holydiver, it feels like a darker of version of the HD, the compression feels slightly different to me though, for leads the silo has a really cool compression to it, however I’d say the Holydiver cuts through the mix a bit better, I kinda prefer it because it’s a very focused pickup, but the versatility and “organic” feel of the Silo is undeniable. That Tremonti Baritone sounds like a total winner - that dude knows a thing or two about gear for sure 😁
Hi mate, indeed, the Mule sounds awesome for modern metal, overall it’s an excellent sounding pickup. To me it felt less compressed than the Holydiver, it made me want to hit the strings harder. Cheers for checking the video out 🍻
@@gabriel_guitar I see. I mostly play pafs and don’t really understand the high output thing. Sure, when you are playing standard A or something, you will need tighter Pickups. But for Standard C, Drop C a paf is fine most of the time. And todays amps / amp sims have a ton of gain..😅
@@marioruther6181 absolutely mate, in fact often times I prefer the sound and clarity of a lower output pickup like a PAF for high gain applications, they make you play differently too which I appreciate.
Hi Mate! I'm considering putting a set of Holydiver in my DK24 instead of the standard Nazgul/Sentient set. Just wondering how would you describe the difference between both set?
Hi mate, I can only speak regarding the nazgul as I never tried the Holydiver neck. I'd say the holydiver bridge pickup is a warmer pickup with a lot of emphasis in the mids, it won't be as tight as the Nazgul but still very focused. The holydiver is great for most styles, anything from blues rock to 80s Metal and really great for soloing , but if modern and extreme metal is your jam, the Nazgul is still a great pickup.
@@gabriel_guitar I'm in a Post-Grunge band... I do like metal though but I'm not sure those Nazgul fits. It's a budget but I'll give it a try... Thanks for answering so fast mate you rock

@@gabriel_guitar amazing job on the channel by the way. You got the flip between pups nailed. Makes a mockery of comparison stuff where you have to scroll forward and back to hear like for like riffs. Must be much work- but much appreciated!

Wow. This is freaking a amazing! The tones, your playing, the whole demo...Congrats!!
Thank you so much my friend, very cool of you! Glad you enjoyed the demo 🍻
You’re making my decision making difficult. Every pickup sounds incredible in its own way lol. Love the playing and tones man! 🤘🏼

I love your content and PLAYING!!! Such tasteful compositions. Curious though, what wood is your guitar is made of?
Thank you so much my friend, that's awesome of you to say! This particular guitar has a mahogany body with a maple neck and poplar burl veneer top. 🍻🤘
Nice channel m8, u got a new subscriber! : )
Holy Diver is superior in my opinion!
Thank you so much mate, that’s awesome of you! The Holydiver is an excellent pickup for sure, there’s not much it can’t do 🍻
Wondering if this was in drop D tuning, multitracked, and using V30 speakers?
Hi Daniel, yes indeed, Drop C# and using an IR with V30s (GGD Cali oversized). Cheers for checking the video out mate 🍻
Hey @Gabriel Moreira, I think I am convinced to get a Mule in my next build. What scale length and string gauge are you using here? Thanks so much!
Hi mate, appreciate you checking the video out. It’s a 25.5” scale guitar and string gauge is 10-52 tuned to drop C#.

The Holy Diver is still my favorite, that Mule kicks ar##! I think the Mule needs to find it's way into a beat-up old Jazzmaster, thx for the GAS!
Ha, nice one mate, the Mules are surprisingly versatile, I reckon they'd sound awesome on a Jazzmaster 🍻
Wondering what your favorite pickup is of the Mules, Nailbomb, and Holy Diver. I have all three of those pickups myself.
Hi Daniel, out of those I'd say the Holy Diver and the Mule being a close second. But absolute fav would be the Alnico Warpig :)
Awesome bro. 🤘
Thanks bro! Appreciate you checking it out 🤘🏻
Holy fuck you’re good.
Thank you so much mate! Appreciate that 🍻
great playing and production. im curious what is the signal chain?
