Japanese songs writer, music composer, musicians, they don't give a damn about music genre, tradition, rule... they are out of the box, they mixed all the genre into their songs and music and it is awesome....🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

    Hanabie (Han-ah-bee-ay) = Harajukucore = 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Structure? Nope. Some of their songs have traditional or non-traditional structure, but not ‘Sweets. ‘Sweets is supposed to be frustrated and confused, the lyrics are about the frustration and confusion of sugary treats, the advertising and marketing of them, the lies told to condone or justify eating them, and the addiction they invoke. “It’s 3:00 am and I need something with substance” …sugar fills the hole… Many of Hanabie’s songs talk about issues facing young women today (and eternal issues - one of their bests songs is about PMS!), and even their light hearted stuff has a message.
The cute stuff is known as Kawaii and combining that with brutal is usually described as a juxtaposition as it is two opposites, but in the context of girl’s J-Metal they compliment each other brilliantly. Matsuri and Yukina pull this off remarkably well.
Matsuri is the clean vocalist and guitarist, she’s also the main composer, Yukina is the brutal vocalist and main lyricist.
I think you’d like their track “LOVE Ranbu” which is also not really traditionally structured, but is pretty brutal, and also Sunrise Miso Soup, but neither has a music video. All of the tracks that do have a MV are well worth a listen. They do not have the polish of LOVEBITES or the backing and experience of Nemophila, they do not have the classic training of Band-Maid, (or the pigeon who catalyses them to such great effect) but they are probably the most interesting girls’ metal band from Japan today. I love all the others, and even started a Facebook fans group for one of them, but Hanabie are the curiosity I can never ignore.

Haha!! You found Hanabie!! (Pronounced "Ha(h)-Na(h)-Bee-E(h)").
Yes, "We Love Sweets" gives me visions of Cookie Monster doing a duet with Elmo. Nevertheless, I *love* this song!

You should check out their newer stuff like "Pardon me, I have to go now" (osaki ni shitsurei shimasu). They're about to go do their first USA tour from September 14th. The Europe tour they just finished was a sell out every show! ^-^

    Hanabie = Ha-nah-bee-eh
Yukina (you-key-nah) = harsh vocals, rap, cute vocals
    Matsuri (mah-tsu-ree) = guitar, clean vocals/chorus. rap
    Hettsu (heh-tsu) = bass, backing/cute vocals
    Sae (sah-eh) = drums
This song has no traditional structure, its more like movements for a classical piece, its something they do sometimes, but they do have "regular" songs.
    Recommend L.C.G. next.

All their songs are this good or better. This is just the best music video to react to. My favorite is Sunrise Miso Soup.

TYLR, on J-Rock, you have to do Asterism now: Dawn is the go-to-intorduction: ruclips.net/video/buQPvINJcA0/видео.html
but I also like when they are slightly more melodic: Light In Darkness: ruclips.net/video/QpxNcZoNjVU/видео.html
These videos are form the same concert, the kids are only 16 (HAL-CA, guitar), 17 (Mio, bass) and 19 (Miyo, drums) here.
They also know their peers and pay tribute: SRV Scuttle Buttin: ruclips.net/video/BtB_VrYLRaM/видео.html

This song doesn't have a traditional pop song structure at all, it's just a suite of contrasting sections, probably intended to be jarring and startling. But each section is really well done I think. Hanabie has songs with more traditional structures like NEET GAME, and other songs have refrains but still throw in a lot of unexpected things.

AMAI MY MIND!!! “Ha-Na-Bi-Eh” (花冷え : はなびえ) are Yukina (Vo.), Matsuri (Gu., Vo.), Hettsu (Ba., Vo), Sae (Dr.). They got together in high school (except Sae, who only recently joined). These young ladies are the most exciting, innovative band going. Check out Reiwa Matching Generation, a social commentary/horror movie masterpiece and L.G.C. (Lollipop Candy Girl). But especially, be sure to catch their metal cover of the pop song Odo (Dance), by Ado (a genre defying Japanese vocalist who doesn’t show her face). Better yet, do a back-to-back comparison. Both versions are great.

I love the fact that the song keeps changing. It's so interesting and unusual!
However, they only have four members in the group and one of them is a singer.
Also the video is very funny. He always cheers me up.
Watch their song "Neet Game" next time.
    Thank you for your reaction.

Good reaction, I think most reactors try to make the song "fit" into typical structure of songs instead of just enjoying it for what it is.... Repeated punishment that makes you want mawr!!!! You're in for a treat with pretty much every song of thiers you listen to 🤘

With Hanabie you have discovered the best Japanese metal band. After Neet Game you also should react to the other Hanabie music videos. The songs and videos are all very different and all awesome. L.C.G (my favorite) is brutal cuteness, Reiwa Dating App Generation is a "Rap-core" masterpiece, Envy includes also some high screams and Odo is a brillant metal version of an Ado song. 🤘❤‍🔥

This is kind of progressive. They build pieces that are stitched together without any traditional pattern. If you look at the songs Neet game or Ado they are more repetitive, but not really in a traditional way. One thing missing in Hanabie is crazy guitar solos or drum solos or some such stuff. The music is more a support for the singing.

No chorus in this song. As David discusses below also. But don’t feel bad, very few reactors discuss the unique arrangement and the fact that there is no chorus.

Love Hanabie, Nemophila, Band Maid, Babymetal and the other Japanese bands you have been hitting. For more amazing vocals you have to check out Jinjer. Jinjer is a Ukrainian band with a dynamic female vocalist aka Tatiana. A great starting point would be the mv for Vortex or the live of Perineal from Wacken 2019.

As I told you in the comment for "Adabana", if you like to hear really deep female growl, please check "Broken by the Scream"! Low growler (her name is Io) have a really deep one! You could start with "Sayonara Birthday", but really you could try anything from them!

Yukina is the Tasmanian Devil of screamo. 😀
Unfortunately as yet there is not too much live material from Hanabie. There are several official MV's and various fan cams which are not too good with the audio and video. As with many other female Japanese bands they can perform their songs live, to an excellent standard.
Have a look at the MV for ENVY: ruclips.net/video/nSvhK9U2BXk/видео.html&ab_channel=%E8%8A%B1%E5%86%B7%E3%81%88%E3%80%82%28HANABIE.OfficialRUclips%29 The video has the original ,ale drummer who was replaced by Sae, in 2020.

Japanese pronunciation is wrong. The Japanese e is pronounced like the English short e.
The song is divided by talk and its charm is spoiled.
