Notification squad here! :) Your videos are going to help me a lot to pass the jlpt n4 this year😃 thank you so much for your hard effort Misa :3 hope you hit 200K subscribers soon ^^
From 食べる to 食べさせるto 食べさせられる, you can see that sequence of conjugation: replacing the る in 食べさせる with られる, you got 食べさせられる. So to help students remember the conjugation, it is recommended to change “Passive-Causative Form” to “Causative-Passive Form”. By the way, in all the books on Japanese grammar that I studied, “”Causative-Passive Form” is the term used for this kind of conjugation. Just a recommendation, I am your channel’s subscriber, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Keep up with your good works.
Thank you SO much for making these videos. They're incredibly helpful and easy to follow. I've been on and off teaching myself Japanese for years but I've never stuck with it. Your videos help keep me on track. :)
Thank you so much for this ! Been waiting for a video on this topic for ages, so I'm really glad you finally put this out. You're awesome, definitely the best Japanese teacher I've seen. 教えてくれてありがとうございます.
Thank you Misa! I was taught the shortened version of the causative-passive form at first and I got so confused when everybody else around me used the long version... You cleared this up for me
I usually don't comment in any videos even though i love everything you do here, misa sensei. I just want to Say thank you again and always for everything!!! I'm almost coming to the end of your grammar playlist and I'll put a lot more of effort on immersion now and study more Japanese thought immersion. But I'd like to say thank you for all you've teach me. ✨🙂🥰❤️ God bless you and be okay always. I wish you the best
I would give this 1000 thumbs up if I could! You're the most wonderful teacher and you explain things so thoroughly with such brilliant examples! I love the little asides too, like I didn't know about [ます form]+続ける!Your knowledge of both languages is such an inspiration 😀 いつも素晴らしい動画を作り続けてくれて本当にありがとうございます!いまからぺートリオンにします!😊
Im taking the JLPT lol, so far im doing well on the mock exams but then i suddenly encounter this which got me confused. Thankfully you have it covered! Please continue supporting people who wants to improve on things they love!
Thank you for your helpful tips! When you mentioned not to omit the "Ni" particle, i think that was a very impt. Grammar point for us to remember, because it will change the meaning of the sentence when using causative-passive form.
Misa sensei.. thank you for all the lessons youve been sharing and teaching us... with your help explaining and making us understand everything, i hope to pass the JLPT this coming Dec.. thank you so much in advanced Misa sensei... !
ミサ先生いつものように素晴らしい教える方です! そして、漢字を教える方のは、いいですけど、時々ある漢字の歴史の説明はいりません。あるいは、deRoo先生の漢字を教える方は歴史中一番いい。I was his #1 disciple, and will help if asked. I improved his explanations by~25%.まあ、ミサさんは先生ですから、もちろんご自由に何とでも方教えてください。
Excellent. When I hear the ending RaReRu I remember the German lullaby LaLeLu that is a perfect mnemonic to practice :-) Sometimes even babies are forced to do something like sleep however, in a less stressful manner
Am I thinking of this wrong, or would the translation at 27:36 actually be more closer to meaning, "I was made to go to the convenine store by senpai"? "(私は)先輩にコンビニ行かされた" I was made by senpai to go to the convenience store. I think the one you have in the video would be closer to the translation you gave earlier with the "mom made little sister eat fish" example. So I think the translation, "Senpai made me go to the convenience store" would actually be, "先輩は(私に)コンビニに行かされた"
Yay, what a helpful video! I've definitely heard that されるa lot in anime. Like 無視された. But isn't that a する verb? Do you actually say it like that or is my memory tricking me?
nope. because the part (xxx が+verb short (歌う) +の) is basically the object of the sentence (i.e. her singing). in this case の=こと. it's kind of a special use case of の
Am I the only one who actually "lost the game" here? みさ先生にゲームを負けさせられた。 ...Wait, I think I'm finally getting this pasive-causative form hahahaha Thank you so much Misa先生!
“It’s too much. It’s just a waste of time. We’d rather work than speak a lot.” - Misa, 2019
You're tearing me apart Misa!
hi doggie
Tbh the first time I came across this form like 5 months ago I was like "SASERARERARERARERERU", it confused the heck out of me lmao

26:25「みさが 歌うのを 聞かせられた」
聞かせられたいです!
受け身(受動態)は日本語よりも英語の方がよく使うかも。

Thank you Misa! I was taught the shortened version of the causative-passive form at first and I got so confused when everybody else around me used the long version... You cleared this up for me

Your explanation is very helpful. It's between too short and too long, just perfect. Thank you so much for such videos.

I just started learning about the Causative-Passive Form and this video was very helpful. ありがとうございます。

Great video
This is a good thumbnail. I thought you were going to teach Japanese opera this time.
The Room isn't a penalty it's a reward, great movie 11/10
The Room is a masterpiece what is this slander

You're not wrong. She must have forgotten to change the English text.
🙏 Sincere appreciation for another outstanding lesson! But if I were forced to support the supreme sensei, would I then say:
支えさせられる
ささえさせられる
?
🤔🙉💝
Yay, what a helpful video! I've definitely heard that されるa lot in anime. Like 無視された. But isn't that a する verb? Do you actually say it like that or is my memory tricking me?
Ok nvm I got it confused with the られる form like 食べられる to be eaten
Arigato Misa!!!!! You look younger in this video
14:05 Oh hi, Misa
使役受身をものすごく理解できませんでした。。。ミサ先生、教えてくれてありがとうございました!
今までその文法はとうとう分かりやすくなりました ;u;

Thank you for this video please make a videos about the Jlpt N2 conjugation please 🙏Godbless you 😇😇😇
Thank you so much for this! I was struggling with this form, but now I understand.
I have a doubt tho
26:27 won't it be みさに?
nope. because the part (xxx が+verb short (歌う) +の) is basically the object of the sentence (i.e. her singing). in this case の=こと. it's kind of a special use case of の
@@reginaphalange595 Now I got it! Thanks!!!
レッスンは分かりやすい!
そのティーシャツは本当にかわいいですね!😆☺️
Misa-sensei has the best collection of pikachu t-shirts. 🤩 みさ先生はたくさんのピカチュウのTシャツがありますね。😁😁
Am I the only one who actually "lost the game" here?
みさ先生にゲームを負けさせられた。
...Wait, I think I'm finally getting this pasive-causative form hahahaha Thank you so much Misa先生!
