- This is the new 2020 Audi RS6 Avant - a 600hp 4.0L twin turbo V8 powered super estate car, with the practicality of a family car and the performance of a supercar! The New Audi RS6 is capable of 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and can accelerate up to almost 200mph! The new generation RS6 is optioned with rear wheel steer and a new RS specific diff for a sportier drive and better handling. Just saw one of these things coming off a roundabout full wally, in I'm pretty sure exact same spec, thing looked like it was doing a wheely the amount that nose lifted and the back squated, amazing sight and sound to behold!!!!! This gets my vote for damn sure

What’s interesting is that RS6 actually uses Porsche’s engine code named EA825, differ completely to their previous EA824 engine which had 3993cc as oppose to 3996cc on the new engine, so after 25 years, Porsche parts find its way onto RS car once again just like the original RS2.

That’s why I use the easy cruise control function in my RS4 a lot which starts at 15 mph, takes the stress out of having to keep speed limits.

Because of the new automatic they were able to increase the torque, but interesting thought here what you said about gear changes and downshifts. Aweseome and infotmative review as always James, hope you get the RS6 as daily would be cool :)

I generally love Audi's interiors, but the gloss black and touch screen HVAC controls need to go.
You are 100% correct Leon, not only does it look awful with the smudges and scratches but it is incredibly dangerous to use while mobile!
Touchscreens have no place in cars!
Glad I am not the only one thinking this. I own a '16 Q7 and love the interior controls. Was given a current-gen A7 as a courtesy car with all the new touch screens. Sure it looks smart but it's simply not practical as you have to look at what you are doing.
Proper analogue tactile dials, buttons, controls etc allow for no-look control.
Touch screens, being heavily technology driven, will look out-of-date quickly as well.
In 10 years time an analogie dial or button will still look like any other dial or button.
A 10 year old touch screen will look as out of date as my 10 year old iPad!
You will like it in next 5 years when every car interior will looks like this. Audi is just too modern for todays morons.

The Audi RS6 is all the car you will ever need. I traded in my McLaren for a 2019 RS6 and it is the best automotive decision I have ever made. No need to look anywhere else, trust me.
I suggest Skoda Superb for new daily driver. Yes, I know, its going to feel slow after that.
Great machine, but the GTC4 Lusso V12 is the best daily by far!!

My current car is a C7 RS6 and yes, it does have the same horsepower. Ive often wondered how Audi would better the C7 and now I have the answer. I'll be waiting for the used price to settle down but in the meantime I've booked mine in for a 675 bhp remap which will also give that 100 lbs ft increase in torque. Great thing with these cars is that remaps are cheap and easy providing you dont go silly...
Hi, if your looking for a 'Jekyll & Hyde' everyday car, you need to look at the Alpina B5 Touring. Love the channel.
I owned a 2019 lusso and used it as a daily / winter driver. Phenomenal car but the rear seats are useless for drives over an hour or so. They are actually quite comfortable for passengers but you get a cramped feeling being back there.
Lusso is an amazing car but not practical in true winter conditions.

Faced with the need for a Swiss-Army-Knife car: Well, if Victorinox made cars I reckon the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo (and breathe) would be fairly close to the mark. Having recently lived with the cooking Panamera 4 E-Hybrid I found it deeply impressive. It should certainly be considered given your criteria.
I think that rear splitter in red would be a killer
Fantastic car. On the topic of adhering to the speed limit; I find it very easy to do it because I just use the cruise control. It takes human error out of the equation.

Its not BMW so the reliability will be not a problem with this one.
ALWAYS have loved the RS cars. An RS6 has always been at the top of that list, primarily in sedan(saloon) form. I think this should be your daily. Just my opinion. It ticks all the boxes. I agree about the lack of DSG. I would certainly want that. I love it in my GTI Performance Pack.

Driving many highway miles I prefer to site higher on the road you see so much more and with that I mean over the roadside walls specially the concrete ones it is more fun for the familie also.

I had to lower mine on a HAS KW kit as they sit high. and tune it with stage two as felt slow after my f90 m5 lol, also the gearbox was mapped much better as stock its slow in response compared to bmw, also one note you dont have to swipe left then swipe up to activate heat adjustment just swipe up or down it works without a left movement, another tip if you get a vorsprung like mine, you dont have the soft air suspension you get springs and dynamic dampers much better and the more sporty option
It really is a tough car to beat, and you spec them so well.... it’s more practical than the others,

I love my S4 B5, manual, V6 biturbo, subtle looks. That is a driver’s car. This is an aggressive, over complicated piece of bling.
Although rivals have come close the RS6 still remains the ultimate daily in my opinion. What a car.

Kyle Faster doesn’t mean better. As an overall package and looks wise the RS6 is still king. Not to mention there will be an upcoming performance model.

I've got a C7 gen remapped by dms automotive 700hp/900nm had it 5 years now, she destroy's everything! I didn't spec carbon ceramics and the steel brakes are it's achillies heel, I don't wanna buy a 4th set of manufacturer disks at 40k miles so having some bespoke 410 rotors made atm to cure it. Still love it tho 😍😎✌️

Yeah except a GTC4 Lusso is twice the money, much more flashy and not nearly as practical for very similar performance. Most people who are like "I'd daily drive a Ferrari" are just out of touch with reality in their considerations cause they are just daydreaming. Doesn't even matter if you're a millionaire, there are many reasons why people who own Ferraris don't drive them everyday and money isn't even one of them.
Imagine putting the money that you saved buying a rs6 over a gtc4 back into performance mods. 1000hp rs6 would be basically the holy grail of vehicles for me
