Hmmm I think we heard more from Tim here than Geoff than in other vids. With that said I was able to discern where Tim's lower register starts to get a bit breathy and with which technique. They both have amazing voices with great vocal range unless 5+ octaves has become commonplace for basses. I am truly a layman with a love for music.
Great clip choice man! Avi has an uncountable fry Eb1 with Scott. But it's normal that you don't count it, Avi doesn't push his voice and doesn't use growl notes a lot and no fry noted at all
thanks, it's corrected i originally included the sixteen tons spoken note and the house party note as chest notes and re-uploaded the video twice and didn't correct the time stamps, so that's why lol
I don’t understand, what exactly is chest Fry? Because when I first tried to learn it, every time I tried doing a chest fry note, I was actually doing a subharmonic.
@@jmbmusic1 my bad.. all I did was slow it down to 0.25x and it was a Eb2 but slowing stuff down messed with stuff to so whatever I understand my bad... Just asking
5:00 (just by my ear) doesn’t it go D1-Eb1-E1
yeah id say its definitely a slide up but it's kinda hard to tell the notes exactly

Does it help if it’s visualised like this?
@@Marcell0Bass definitely :D
Yeah, that's a D1 :-)
No more Avi 😔
I think Avi certainly has it in him, especially as he gets older, but he doesn't show off the same way that these two do
He's still great but just not as much in this certain area

yeah i know abt the who you gonna call clip but like you wrote i wouldnt call fry countable
Wrong time stamp for growl notes in the description ;)
5:01 interesting...

@@TM-pf1kp Ah, I see. Very interesting. It was a good choice to re-upload it.
is 2:05 not an F1? same with the other live clip
Didn't Geoff have a chest Eb1 in "Sixteen Tons"? Or was it higher
yeah it's a big debate if its F#1 or Eb1, i now kinda think it's Eb1 and ill put it in the big combined video

Same note but different, E1 or Eb1, the blend VS the king of subharmonic.
Doesn't geoff have a chest Eb1 in sixteen tons?
Please not this discussion again. It‘s a very debatable note, so it’s better if it‘s left out.
