    is there any value in adding Himalayan Pink Salt in the water for the pick with right ratio of course for every day use? Lowest setting of course

      @jaximplantsanddentures  7 месяцев назад

      There is no value in adding Himalayan Pink Salt versus any other salt. Saltwater rinse is always a good way to sterilize the mouth a little more, but is not necessary everyday. Thank you for your comment!

    When do you recommend using the Waterpik around the implants at a higher pressure?

    • @jaximplantsanddentures
      @jaximplantsanddentures  Год назад +2

      We recommend staying on the medium setting unless your provider indicates otherwise. Thank you!

    Hello,
    You didn't mention flossing between the bridge and the gums... Some videos I have watched say not to get so over zealous with flossing all on four because of fibers left behind. Do you also believe this?

    • @jaximplantsanddentures
      @jaximplantsanddentures  Год назад +4

      Flossing is fine by us, but we believe a water pik is far more convenient to use!

  • @patriciageorge9648
    @patriciageorge9648 7 месяцев назад

    Everything else I’ve read has said the Water Pik doesn’t take the place of flossing. “Fuzzy Floss” is often recommended and a baby toothbrush to get under the gum line of the 4on 4. I like your idea including the bleach rinse but am concerned that plaque and some food debris will be left underneath using just the Water Pik. ( I did buy the Ion model you recommended and like it very much).

      @patriciageorge9648 7 месяцев назад

      I don’t have my 4 on 4 yet, but am still mulling over your technique of water flossing only. It certainly is the easiest way to go and so much less hassle! So when your patients come in for their 6 month cleaning the Water Pik has not left behind any plaque or debris under there? Thanks! I just don’t want to mess up such a large investment!

      @@patriciageorge9648 Hi Patricia,
      Great questions. Yes with proper waterpik usage there is virtually no debris or plaque left under the bridge. The reason for this is on the tissue side of the bridge we design it to be very cleansable with its shape and we also leave it with an extremely polished surface so that plaque can't stick well in the first place. We have taken many many off and they look brand new even years in! Thanks again for the questions.

      Thanks so much for answering. What if the patient lives out of state, how do they get it cleaned and how often, because a trip back might be not feasible.Thanks so much.

      @@patriciageorge9648 Great question! I understand. Thankfully in most cases the teeth never need to come off. What the patient does on a daily basis is far more important than a 1 time a year cleaning. Waterpik is your best friend and helps insure your implant teeth will last a long long time! We simply ask to have an xray sent in so that we can review bone levels with the patient on a periodic basis but that can be done locally.

    • @jaximplantsanddentures

      Sure! Flossing or water flossing is always a great thing to help keep you gums healthy around implants!

    I am very concerned about keeping them clean as time goes by. My question today is about the contour of the final device. can you mill it so that there are no concave spots that fit along the gum line? can the final surface be flat or even convex? At 76 years old I don't care so much about appearance. Being able to keep them clean is far more important to me

    • @AlexMcRee
      @AlexMcRee 7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes. We take a lot of pride and our work and we make sure everything we do is convex and cleansable. Great question!

    I just got my all-on-4 procedure in Sherman Oaks, CA a week ago, and I might’ve been doing it wrong for the past week. I used the waterpik ion every other day on a high pressure setting since day one, as well as brushing the teeth and brushing the gums around the implant, but did gargle chlorhexidine oral rinse they prescribed to me, as well as took ibuprofen and amoxicillin. A week later, it’s still sore, irritating and gums are still tender and sensitive to cold. Should I be concerned?
    I’m not in so much pain and agony and am able to sleep at night with my temporary. I still have yet to get bottom side implants, but my next appointment is on May 9th.

    • @eternus154
      @eternus154 5 месяцев назад +1

      I had my waterpik ion on pressure setting 5, settings are 1 to 10. I finished the ibuprofen today, but still have 6 days left on the amoxicillin.

      @@eternus154 Hi! In our office we typically don't recommend using the waterpik until two weeks post surgery due to the gums healing. However, without knowing exactly how your treatment was done or what their protocol is I would recommend giving your office where the surgery was performed a call!

      Hi there! Peroxide is also a good disinfectant, but bleach may be more effective in certain cases. Ultimately, this is what our Doctors recommend to our patients to keep their implants healthy. If you have anymore questions, or want to set up your complimentary consultation, give us a call at 904-999-9000. Thank you!
