Thanks, few notes, my T400 had a big metal plate that yours is missing, also when you take out the CPU if you just keep screwing that screw it will literally jump out of the socket as it did with me, lol.

My laptop is still a t400, if I update the processor can I use 3D modeling programs?

Norbert Greiwe Upgrade was on cpu. from T7450 to T8600, now its faster and dont get hight temperature.
