The competition at Lights Out 8 is among the thoughest out there with big names like Stevie FAST Jackson, Barry Mitchell, Woodruff Racing, Keith Haney and MORE! Even to start it up you have to loaded and if your good sponcers might pick you up some to most of the bills. A guy down the road from me is fortunate like this and I asked him how does one do it and this is what he told me. He owns a large construction company based out of St.Louis.

Ya, was thinking the same thing. What are the significant difference between this car, and say an NHRA Pro Mod? From what I can see Pro-mods have wheelie bars, and what look to be bigger tires (assume drag slicks instead of radials).. What else? I guess I just find it a little disappointing as these "outlaw" style cars come closer and closer to the age old proven drag racing formula. (light weight, tube frame chassis, with fiberglass body built around large displacement supercharged motor).
The only point of these races are that they have to run radials. Not be a street car, just to run radials. (Even bought it's a rule now also to not have wheelie bars)

not these class. if it doesn't hurt anything between rounds they look at data, go thru valves but nothing major. nitrous cars in this class sometimes have to change pistons between rounds

1/8th is easier on parts and slower speeds so less dangerous. I like the 1/4 over the 1/8th but it's not as popular.
