- In this video I am going to show you a cool little trick: using the new Hybrid Reverb device in Ableton Live 11 as an impulse response loader for cabinet simulation! That way you can record your guitars in the box, directly to your interface and achieve believable sounds!

thanks man, don't delete these videos, those are so useful!
I wonder why there are so few views, such information cannot be found on the Internet.
These videos will be here for future civilisations to wonder what the hell I was talking about! Hahah
THANK YOU!!! Just what I was looking for!
No worries! Thank you!
wow, thanks!
Class, thank you
That's freaking AWESOME!!! Great chat saving truck for those that didn't skip a car payment to buy plugins!
Hahah yes!
@@JulianGrimmMusic Dumb-ass question - are all of the "Amp" plugins under the Core Library? I HATE the way that ableton website, once logged in, doesn't show you what you already have downloaded, and once you do, often very hard to find what 'category' they put these damn things in.
Konnichiwa!
No it’s under audio effects and if you installed suite then it should be in there.
Worth mentioning: watch out for the EQ section and the stereo knob on the right, very useful all in one solution for IRs!
Great way to get a good tone quickly.
You know it!
Thank you!
No problem!
Great video good sir. Feel like just you just dropped an infinity stone in my lap.
I have all five!
If you don't have suite you have the blue ball version of Ableton.
True
11 is life.
great video!
is there a reason you don't use Convolution Reverb? instead of using the hybrid one and disabling the algo
The Hybrid reverb is coded as an actual Ableton Plugin and the convolution reverb is coded through Max4Live. At least in my experience with my computer the native plugins are a bit more stable and less CPU intensive.
Cool!!
Thanks!
I have said for years that this should theoretically be possible, but have never actually tried it. Cool to know I have wasted all this time 🤣 Now to start recording all my own IR's for all my equipment.
Bro since when the hell did Ableton make good reverbs???? These videos are great man.
Since Ableton 11 lol
Hi Julian) What impulse response do you use? Thanks
Audio assault ones
Still can't believe Ableton doesn't have a dedicated stock Guitar Cab IR loader...
They could just open up their cab plugin to allow loading any IR
👍😎
How many treasures inside Ableton!
For sure!
are the impulse response you are choosing at @8:40 included with the ableton suite?they do sound nice but not amplitube or neural nice. Thanks for showing this method tho, makes it even more viable to get the suite version.
And then I'm also thinking you can also add the same hybrid reverb plug in to work as an actual reverb and not as a cab.

You're recording a guitar with an AMP.
Neighbors: Is that you making a noise?
You: It was me. Sorry. I will turn it off.
Neighbors: No! Just turn up the volume at the max!
P.S. Very helpful video! Thanks Julian!
Hahah! Thanks man!
Dude you're not wrong, there definitely is some math.
You're very cringe...
I love it
Thank you! I try my best to cause some soothing discomfort.
