Another great short film again Anusha! I've just been rewatching end re-living your other video's as well. I'm happy that you capture the world like this and share it with the public!! I hope you're doing well and keep up the beautiful work!
The Tibetans on China side are so much happier than before. Their lives are many times better than before been as slave of the slave master. They have better freedom now than before. They are also many times far more developed comparing to south Tibet.
Thank you Mdm Anusha Venkatachalam for showing this handicrafts company. Currently there is a drive in the mainland to push for domestic products consumption, and many of these girls goes into douyin/tiktok to sell their wares. I will make it a point to come to this place and get a few stuff from them if I visit Chengdu!
Chengdu is not a town. It's one of the biggest cities in China, with a population of 16 million. I wouldn't call it a frontier city either. It's more of a melting pot where different communities live. The frontier cities/towns would be Ya'an and Kangding (Dartsendo). These are places with a mixed population of Han and Tibetan. From there on, the more West you go (Qinghai, Gansu), it's all Tibetan.
The Tibetan population after being slaves all their lives to the Dalai Lama and the rest of the rich class of old Tibet have now thrived in new china and escaped poverty. The Chinese people are strong and may they continue to prosper and get back the glory they had in all of history.
There is no excuse for Colonisation , whatsoever ! If you think your neighbour is trouble then you help not occupy there home. You fooling no one with that naive comment but yourself.
Dancing Yak is registered in and operates from Chengdu, which is the capital city of Sichuan Province, China. Not Tibet (TAR) or traditional Tibet (Kham, Amdo). All the girls are trained in Chengdu and the products are made in Chengdu. My intention is to promote this initiative and local handicrafts in order to help them, not falsely claim they're based in Tibet and cause more problems for them.
Beautyfull coming together one love ,,,tibet keep your culture and do not be too impressed by the West!!!! We need more love in this world so declared also 17th Karmapa !!!!!!
what do you mean by "Tibetans in China"? Tibetans live in Tibet. Tibetans have lived in Tibet, since the time when Mongol Kublai khan ruled China as colony. You read "Travels of Marco Polo" and you will find that Kublai khan sent holy revenue to Tibet
This film was not shot in the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR). It was filmed in the grasslands of Western Sichuan and the grasslands of Qinghai Province. Dancing Yak is based in Chengdu city of Sichuan Province, not in Tibet. Going by the traditional map of Tibet, you could say the grasslands are based in Kham and Amdo. However, Chengdu, where the handicrafts are made is the capital of Sichuan Province, China. As an Indian, I understand your sentiments but as a filmmaker, it is my responsibility to be accurate.
@@anushavenkatachalam2323, Yes, you are filmmaker, but you also have a responsibility as an individual. (TAR) is a new found by CCP. They used the old colonial tactic, "divide and rule" used by British Empire. Today's Kanting Town in Sichuan was the border town between Tibet and China. So you were actually in former Tibetan area. The so called TAR was actually established in 1964.
This is a film about Dancing Yak, which is entirely based in Chengdu. Chengdu is part of Sichuan, not traditional Tibet. The Swiss lady is based in Chengdu, the Tibetan women come from Tibet, but are trained and live in Chengdu. The material is sourced from Tibet I agree, but still, the company operates out of Chengdu.
Tibet is in China and you can see in this video they just live like a normal Chinese, they can go wherever they want, they from Tibet, but they can live in Chengdu freely, Chengdu is a traditional Chinese Han people area in the past 2500 year, Chinese tibetan do have more freedom than you, they can live, study in anywhere in China land
