Last Two: Commercialized re-hashes with an over the hill vocalist, and downright gimmicky guitar work. The riffs pay homage to Southern style sludge riffing, and that's about it.

Phil is still awesome! His voice might not be as sharp as it used to be and even hell admit it but he still knows how to command a crowd. He makes you feel like everyone is on the same level and are apart of the band. His facial expressions and old man grunts are hilarious too lol.

Phil is the best front man in hard rock and metal. If it's super joint it's hardcore/ metal hybrid is brilliant. Down is a mixture of doom, Sabbath style slow heavy, skynyrd style southern rock mixed with metal. Brilliant as well. And pantera where the kings of metal. My 3 favorite Anselmo prodjects

This is a damn good show! The last few times that I went to go see DOWN, they seemed tired, or just going through the motions. There's energy here. And Phil's voice is getting back into true form. His voice sounded wrecked in the recent past; even on the last few albums of his (if he just learned to take care of his voice better). But here they are all sounding better than their last album. I'm enjoying the new songs here. …And I'm liking Bobby as well.

I saw Down at 1st Ave. in Minneapolis a few years ago. First time seeing them. (Seen Pantera 5 times). They put on a hell of a show! Phil smashed the microphone on his own forehead and was bleeding all over the place. It was bad ass!

With the amount of weed smoking and drinking he's done it's amazing he can even talk. Combined with not using correct vocal techniques its normal that your voice gets fucked up. He has a decent voice still and the attitude is the same as it has always been.
