the fact Nolan North had the integrity to never cross Bert Allwine's job as the voice of Mickey Mouse shows he's a classy guy. And same for Jim not attempting to take the Simpsons role when Fox tried to lowball the VA's!
Fun episode to see two legends of the industry share their experiences, bring on the next guest!
that said, the VAs were asking for more money as the show got worse, and it's clear the money was not being put into the writing..
EARLY ON it made sense to ask for more, but the show would never have gotten a shot if it was considered expensive.
I love how much respect, honor, and nobility voice actors generally seem to have for each other!

I had no idea who Jim was until I stumbled across this episode and after looking up his IMDb I realised why his voice sounds sooo familiar. I heard him the majority of my childhood in the 90's and early 2000's 🤣 CatDog, Winnie the Pooh, Darkwing Duck, Where's Waldo (Wally in Australia), The Jungle Book and Chip 'n Dale to name but a few. Daaamn. I love both of you guys and your work. Thanks for your beautiful art!

Like Tony Anselmo, with Clarence Nash. And!! Everybody knows. That Tony wasn't even aloud to do Donald's voice, while Clarence, was still alive!! Tony STILL talks about his training with Clarence!! So. Nolan is someone who gets it!!

Love the podcast, Jim! I was a huge Pooh fan growing up. If you could have Richard Horvitz, Dana Snyder, Nancy Cartwright, Myrna Velasco, Chloe Grace Moretz, and John DiMaggio on the show you will definitely make my life a little bit more better :)
