I thought Ringo would be a good name, like a boxing ring. It could also reference the ring around his eye? But now I can't remember if there's already a villager named Ringo
There is not! I think that’d be a perfect name for this villager too!
Plus it rhymes with the nursery rhyme about Bingo the dog! :D

This is such a small thing, but I think a white patch on his chest would help him look more like a boxer, since that's a very common marking on boxer breeds. ^.^

I agree that this would tie the design together very well. I own a boxer dog and he has plenty of white on the face, chest, and paws!
I think your issue with the hoodie might have been the shape and height of it. It covered a lot more of the face than most hoodies would. If you did the face first then used that as landmarks for where the hood sat I think that might've helped
i think it would be neat to see you work up old "discontinued" villagers and see how they'd look in NH!

Sugar is so cool!!! Would you consider making a Lioness, other villagers have a female counterpart like bulls and cows, but no female lions. ♡

I know Tyson is a bit obvious feeling to you but it's a pretty common name for boxer dogs so it would have worked out well. Love the phrase, so cute!

I think the problem you were having with the hood may be that it’s creating the opposite effect of the boxing tape. Hoods generally aren’t form fitting to the head so that combined with the height of the head mesh and the placement of the ears is creating a weird conflicting visual
Ooo he looks really cute and i like how he has a little bit of a backstory lol! Maybe you could do a hamster thats based on some sort of fruit next? There little bean bodys would be good for round fruit like oranges or strawberries.
As a name I was thinking something like Rocky referencing the character Rocky Balboa, who’s a...yknow...a boxer

I think a shepherd villager would be really cool, but more like a Border Collie or a German Shepherd instead of a sheep dog like Shep. Maybe the wolf model would fit better? I love the round faced dogs but the long snoot bois are missing out. Any breed using the wolf model would be cool actually.
The "wolf" named Vivian is actually a German Shepherd!
@@SecretAgentMarina Vivian's coat does not even remotely remind me of a German Shepherd, lol. The "light blonde" shade would need to be way darker for me to actual realize she was supposed to be a German Shepherd, ngl (more like Kyle's overall color scheme)

I like the name 'Sugar', considering I had a dog with that name when I was younger; however, when looking at them while you were making them my brain kept thinking 'Doc' as a reference to Doc Brown in Punch-Out. I think they're cute though! The droopy mouth is honestly my favorite touch in the design. Also works well with boxing considering swelling can mess up your face as well and make things look droopy.
There is a Doc in the game though, he's a bunny.

Not quite subtle, but maybe Boxxer can be his name. Very simple, but some of the villager names are like that (Leon for a Lion, Kat for a Cat, etc.)

I have a lil idea, what if you do octopus or flamingo villagers? They only have like two or one rememberable villagers that people like and they mostly look bland( EXCEPT FOR ZUCKER OFC)

Omg you should name him Kostya , named after kostya tszyu (a boxer) but it’s also the name of my childhood dog who passed away a few years ago, it’d be so cute since he was a brown dog too. Also the name kostya sounds like ‘cost ya’ as in saying ‘it’s gonna cost ya if you fight me’ since he’s a smug villager
