- Time for some longer easier content! I love villager hunting videos so I decided to do my own. Can we find who we’re looking for? Let’s find out!

2 questions:
1) Does Nintendo not want mod switches to be around?
2) How do you even create a new villager?
1. They don’t want people to mess with their stuff. Modded stuff is easy to break and people will always send in broken consoles that were modded and expect Nintendo to fix them even though it isn’t their fault, it was just someone else’s custom firmware and that’s not Nintendo’s liability. So they discourage modding to make sure no one breaks their console.
2. I don’t think anyone ever adds a new villager, I think they just edit the texture and personality/name of existing ones.

@@sassyscorpio5537 inexperienced modding can potentially ruin any hardware or firmware, depending on how invasive a mod attempt is.
Late and moreso about point 1, but Nintendo seriously doesn’t fuck around with people who mod their consoles. In 2021, they had a member of a switch modkit team charged with criminal copyright infringement and fined him over $4 million in damages. In 2020, there was a major leak of internal documents from Nintendo revealing that they had doxxed and were stalking Smealum, a known 3DS modder who tweeted @ them, and they had plans to confront him in person. They were following him around during the day and the information they had on him included his full legal name, address, and work schedule. And this is barely the tip of the iceberg. Nintendo Ninjas are real.
Aside from the reason the first commenter mentioned, a major reason why Nintendo disapproves of “jailbroken” or modded consoles is because the release of mod tools inevitably allows people to pirate games. Many modders openly disapprove of game pirates, but it’s impossible to prevent it from happening.
You have to have a MicroSD card to transfer files to your computer.
They don't really want people messing with properties, because as
the other guy said, it can probably break you console.
You can still download save editors to edit your island and things, but
I would be careful if your gonna change game files.
I found june on my first nmt island and I have kept her the entire time she is my only original villager i just re did her house. I love her with all of my heart.

I think the reason June isn’t talked about that much because she is like the shadow of pekoe, since they look so similar in my opinion.

Rosie was my favorite villager, Mainly because she was my first villager when I played pocket camp, which was my first animal crossing game. Miss her a lot actually.

Rodney was in my wild world town, when I was a young'un. So he has a place in my heart. He wasn't my fav, but he was there. I think Ruby was my favorite from my first town. I still remember in like 1st grade I drew Ruby, and someone used black crayon and pushed down really hard to give her evil eyebrows. I cried.

@@firepeaguy no, wait you're right. I haven't played either game in ages so I misremembered. I think he was one of the first villagers to move into my game, but also one of the first to leave. I think I assumed that because I knew for sure I had Hamphery in New Leaf, that Rodney was in my Wild World town. It's been ages. Must've barely been 10 or 11 when Rodney was in my town, and for reference, I played Wild World intermittently up until then. Easy mistake to make when half your life has passed since then
Rodney was one of the starter villagers in my first NL town, all those years back. Not a great design, but same here, he has a spot in my heart.
He was my first campsite villagers and was on my island for almost a year so even tho he’s not on my island anymore I’m emotionally attached to him now

If there’s one I REALLY miss, it’s Felyne. He’s in my New Leaf town, and I absolutely love him, I just hate his house, BUT I’d love to make him the cutest little cat themed house in Happy Home Paradise!

Not sure if anyone has else has read this but I got curious and looked it up. It’s not Nan and Sheb the goat who have pictures of each other it’s Nan and Chevre. And they have photos of each other because they are pen pals in accordance with the Japanese nursery rhyme they’re based off of. A black and white goat sending laters to one another but accidentally eating them before they can read them.

He actually said it correctly, except that he doesn't know how to pronounce Chevre. You can tell because he used the same pronunciation when he met Chevre earlier in the video.

definitely interested in understanding what makes a villager popular. some villagers i can understand their popularity bc theyre unique and gimmicky like lucky, but then theres villagers that are "basic" looking like lolly and fauna (no shade to them i like them too) but are super popular so there must be a perfect balance of cute and unique or cute and basic?
Lolly and Fauna are basic, but they're still super adorable (cute yet simple!) people seem to like cool or cute designs the most..the ones who're aesthetically pleasing
What people look for in a villager is something out of an anime. For example, Raymond is the smart rich kid, marshal is the angry cool kid, Judy is the sassy popular girl I believe? I haven’t seen much of her. Sasha is the cute dumb one. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the anime they’re out of is something iconic and high-school-y.

Apollo has that biker punk american dad aesthetic. And I love it.
my favourite villager of all time is Gaston, I´ve always had him since Wild World and in that game, he would call me "Herzblatt", which means "leaf of my heart" in German, it´s a very endearing way to call someone you love, but not normally used romantically if that makes sense. I spent hours time travelling in City Folks to get him and was way too excited to get him in ACNH aswell!
some people have basic looking villagers as their favorite because they're attached to them. ava is my favorite character ever in animal crossing because in 2014 she was the first character to move into my new leaf town and she's still there and never left me :') i also like t bone even though hes soo ugly because he was one of my starter villagers in new leaf and as a kid i thought of him as a grumpy uncle and he reminded me of squidward (who i loved)

He was one of my first original villagers when I had just started New Leaf for the first time when I was a kid. He creeped me out at first because it just seemed he followed me everywhere and wanted my attention a whole lot (he kept coming up to my character to talk) but I eventually found that really nice of him lmao
However, as a bored child I was curious enough to delete my save so yeah, never saw Dizzy again but always hoped I'd encounter him again, even in a new game ^^"
A lot of my favorite villagers are characters who were my very first originals so I tend to naturally want to hunt for them. I've played a bit of horizons on the first week but I've been too busy to get into it further. Watching your vids is actually kind of convincing me to get around to playing it and finally move out of my tent in game LOL
Fang is my absolute favorite though, always will be, has a special place in my heart lol
He was one of my very first originals too and he was by far my favorite to talk and interact with in game. I thought his design was very pretty too :)
But the reason he's my all time fav is because after I deleted my save, I ended up with him in my town again immediately and I was sooo happy. Little kid me was like "DUDE IT'S OFFICIAL, IT WAS MEANT TO BE - YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND (in animal crossing) FOREVER :DDD"
and I like to think that little comment still stands lol

I also thought that was a weird way to pronounce her name.
It's neither. It's pronounced "Shuh-vere" (saying "vere" as you would the word "there". But that's just me, and I know she's meant to be French.

I miss my Wolf Link. I wish they allowed the Zelda Amiibo characters in New Horizons. I love June too. I added her to my island the day she camped there, and she's been with me ever since.

Pecan and Nibbles are great squirrels too! I also have Chevre, Fauna, Sylvia, Katt, Becky, Bangle, and Friga. All are wonderful villagers, plus I've heard Fauna is high in demand on islands for her sweet personality. Like right on the top of the list. But I'd kick almost any villagers off my island except for Fauna for Raymond. I have been unsuccessful in getting Raymond. I want him! He's so cute! 😕☹️😁😅🤣
