Thanks mate! Yeah, catching a quick dinner between the rain - the West Coast way :) We love the coast though, it's a magical place and you never have to worry running out of water, haha
Lovely spot up there mate we camp up there heaps when we were kids mark ,flounder best eating fish out of the lot mate so sweet and juicy, great drone footage to 👍
Thanks mate! Karamea is a pretty special place for sure. You definitely need to check it out if you haven't been there. Just take plenty of repellent :)
Awesome mark its such a great spot ,just spent a few nights near Hokitika with friends was so good to go back there but was to ruff for surf casting ,but went beach fossicking instead magic sunsets as well love it there , cheers , shaneno, nelson 👍🍺
Cheers Shannon, Hokitika is a great place, we love the area too! We were there a little while ago when the sea was calm and got a couple of nice snapper.
Thanks for the video Mark . You might be surprised to know Snapper can be caught this time of year not far from Jackson's Bay. The water Temps on the South West coast warm up this time of year hence the King Fish , Snapper and Tuna. Recently a Marlin was hooked off Jackson's Bay but unfortunately lost beside the boat after a 30 minute fight. That was a nice Elephant Fish and good size flounders . Wish I could have tasted both.
Cheers Ian, yeah that is amazing, eh. Shame about the Marlin, who would have thought they are that far South. We got a few nice snapper in Hokitika as well. Great coast for snapper in summer and they are all really fat and healthy.
Really enjoyed Another 7 gill was caught at oamaru harbor by a young boy, maybe 8ft You should come down to lake Benmore and do a video like this tralling and catching salmon, there’s heaps of fish in that lake and heaps of campgrounds around it
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed. Yeah for sure I really like lake Benmore. We did film tons of footage around there last year. Just haven't gotten around editing it yet :)
@@mistry9408 This time I used size 5 circle hooks, but you could go up to size 7 or 8 depending on the bait. If you never caught one, check out our video on catching Elephant fish here: ruclips.net/video/eUhEO6rPPUg/видео.html That's how we usually target them. They do eat squid, but crabs and prawns are the best baits.
thanks mate, some great scenery for drone shots out there :) The battery lasts quite long, eh. A couple of hours on mid speed and maybe a bit over an hour on full speed. Plenty of juice for paddle boarding or kayaking.
Yes; it does suck getting old...better that than the alternative I suppose. You know what also really sucks? Those stupid jockey wheel setups. they never seem to hold the wheel fiirmly and end up with stripped threads...
