This Message is for the Fisherman who goes through bars . It’s very important before entering the bar that your boat can outrun a wave when you have to turn back and never commit to the crossing. If the waves are too big turn around and outrun the wave and always remember that there is always a space between big waves and when you turn around don’t try to outrun the wave at the front of your boat. When crossing I never count waves I sit and watch them first and sometimes you will notice that one side will be better than the other and it depends on the wind and current conditions. Don’t forget what Elvis said. Only Fools Rush In. In Aitutaki Cook Island’s where I come from we enter the Ocean 80% of the Time on the Port side and come back in on the same side.God Bless I hope this will help you travel safely
Thanks for sharing Ollie, incredible vid, shooting trevally amongst a school of kingfish may seem crazy to most fishos but it just demonstrates the respect you have for your environment and the sport of spearfishing. Take what you need and enjoy the view of what you leave. Great work, have been lucky enough to have found your channel a few years ago and thought if I gave a bit on patreon and bought this bloke a coffee I might get to see a few าmore amazing NZed vids. Its been non stop, the content, advice, chilled attitude and commitment to New Zealand and everything that swims around the place is worth every penny, I encourage all of you to support the channel the return on investment is amazing, look at what we are watching. Cheers Ollie be safe mate.
Thanks for the comment and tuning in mate. Really appreciate the support too. All goes back into the adventures! Cheers, Ollie
Good to see you still pumping out some really awesome content Ollie bro 🤙🤙 It was the hammer whack for me 🤣
Good old Estwing hammer haha! Cheers mate
I live in Oregon USA and have bar crossings like this a lot. Makes it hard to get out for fish in my 18ft aluminum boat. Great job as always. Even though I’m in the Pacific Northwest your channel is one of my favorites!
Incredible footage of that kingfish vortex
Another great video mate. Amazing sights with so many kings around👍
Wicked footage of the kingys. Great content.
awesome video good to see a couple of rods on the boat for me I like that bit of a mix cheers
Cheers, Will aim to incorporate a bit more!
A simple story, well told. Thank you Ollie.
OMG I've been waiting what feels like months for another one of your sick videos ! Love ya Ollie from across the ditch Sydney 🇦🇺
Awesome episode, thank you from Cape Town, South Africa.🫶🏻
What a beautiful video as always. For someone who lives far from the sea and has no time to do such things, it's so nice to live vicariously through you and your videos. What a great time that must be. So free to go where you want and live off the "land" like that. Keep it up Ollie!
You’re courageous man, mate. Luv this time Sundays.
‘Makos, bronzies and a possible white’ … i shudder and I’m watching on the couch in the desert
Epic episode Ollie !! Always good to see and feels like I was with you under that water .

Mean mission Ollie 🤙 those yellow fin are on this year, landed three 50kg models this week was madness.

At 15:01 when you pull the Ganet to the boat, if you pause it there. There’s a fish/shark or tuna next to the bird under the water

Awesome viewing bro👍
The hammer was a new one for me. Better than the spike?
Awesome video as always.
Fan from CALI USA.. What's left anyways.
I have just come across your page & loved this video as well as your genuine concern for not allowing an injured fish back out in the wild 🙏
I'd love some insight on how long you've been diving for & what depths you've accomplished as well as what depths you're comfortable spearing at?
I'm new to the diving world but I have been working closely with the breath in the breathwork space for 5 years now which has enabled me to achieve some supposed unbelievably quick progression in the diving world according to the experienced freedivers & spearos I have been around, which I have to give the credit to my breath training on land.
To put into context, if you are familiar with the Molchanovs training requirments, I have only done my molchanovs wave 1 training, had 2 line sessions outside of that, and about 5 pool training sessions. 2 days ago I had my first opportunity to attempt a Dynamic in the pool beyond 50 metres as all other sessions were limited to 50m. So with the safety of a competent dive buddy, on my first attempt I got 65m, second attempt was 80m, then my third attempt was 90m. And frankly my training buddies were shocked because many have been diving for years and training for a long time to reach Wave 3 requirements. I have not yet had the opportunity to dive beyond 20 metres yet due to available depth, but I was able to reach that comfortably quickly.
Because of this, it's inspired me to put together a breath training program for divers to help them achieve deeper, longer, more comfortable & most importantly safer dives by training their breathing on land, and your input would be invaluable for me to create this program.
And as an experienced diver yourself, would you be interested in trialling the program (for free) when I finish it to see if it improves your diving ability before I put it out to others? 🙏
Keep it up, and hope to see heaps more from you 🤟

Great vid!
Nice gun Ollie, new one? :)
Great job.I'm so jealous of you, from canada
The editing in these videos is getting better and better 👍
Hoo woohoo,! With multiple hookups electric reels come in handy while singlehanded,,,! Woooooooo😅
Holy sheet. I thought you was gunna donk the Gnat when you pulled out the hammer 😂. I should of known better
Love the channel mate .
What model is your new senator boat ? Also, how come there’s never much swell out your way? lol
Ollie bro for safety reason u shouldn't put on ur wetsuit while the boat ur moving and u got hands off the wheel.let along the safety key ...u could've fallen off and boat carries on driving....just advice but I knw u know better bro. But love ur videos keep on the good content 👌
Surely a trip to the three kings islands is due soon!
My next life will be by the ocean in NZ. Cheers from wild 🇨🇦
siiiiiiick video brother
Cheers Mark!
The Mighty West Coast👍

Wonderful! Have you ever thought about getting a second ofboard little engine just in case?
Not having the almost brand new Yamaha. Super Reliable engine. If any issues, I can call the Coastguard and they will come and help me as part of my membership

Happy days 🤙🏾
Aloha Sir,

would make a big
change in it All.
Let me know when
your in the Pacific Rim.
❤❤❤❤
💯🙏❤
Hey there Ollie, just curious what was the stuff on your face at 28:31...?
Either fish guts or a big booger haha
💯💪👍😉
I've never understood why people leave their ratchets on when winding in a fish
I used to go in the swamp alone
Great to hear the south side rippers still put there murdering people! Go you! Live your best life
When you get struck keep your boat in gear and the same speed until you have set the hook.
Mean my bro Ollie keep up the mean work loving it chur
Good job, how many meals
Mate, you should not stop the boat when the tuna is on.
Ollie… I’m trying to immigrate there and run from here. Any suggestions to how to be allowed in?
Was that a Tuna under the gannet at 15:00 - 15:05?
Geez, good spotting mate. Definitely a fish of some kind. Possibly a shark with that Gannett doing the "injured" flap on the water. 😳
Hi Ollie have you ever tired deep dropping New Zealand like 300m to 500m
I’m American..and I just did this with my kiwi friend from NZ and I know a great spot you could film at. It’s outside of Auckland and he would absolutely hook you up. Let me know if you’re interested in the hookup

Hi! Please send an email to primalpursuitnz@gmail.com with your shipping address and I can get you a shipping quote and get a hat out to you! It shouldn't cost too much i imagine
