A seventh symphony for dreaming with the apotheosis of the dance so called by Wagner... And he was absolutely right. Perfection in strings, wood winds, brass and percusion. OMG what sounds. Beethoven so so great!! And HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie in the highest!! Viel Danke für alle!

Wow! To me this is the best recording of Beethoven's 7th ever. No audience and socially-distanced stage with multiple Schoeps microphones... the only positive thing the corona virus has brought us. Every part is so clearly defined and balanced. Thank you Frankfurt Radio and fr Symphony Orchestra. Kudos to tonmeisters. Bravi!

I heard this in live streaming, and I wandered why this scale of performance could be played in the small scale of orchestrating. Good enough to express peaceful heart to upstanding people of the world!!

These concerts are such a joy to me. This more leisurely take on Beethoven 7 is so satisfying and brings out the dancelike quality so much more because there is time to lilt. Too often for my taste, there is a headlong, nervous energy in the outer movements that can render the work more brittle.

hr-Sinfonieorchester, I thank you for your uploading of the beautiful performance. I think that it is difficult to play with the co-player in more distanced place than pre-covid-era. But I was moved by your wonderful performance that I couldm't know without visual information the play in post-covid-time.
Once more, Thank you very much.

A beautiful, enthusiastic rendering of the 7th. The synchrony is perfect in spite of the social distance. Instruments individuality is clearly perceived - i wonder if the increased distance between them is partly responsible. Thanks for uploading this valiant performance of music, the pandemia notwithstanding.

In allegretto, they play the famous motive (i mean b-c-d or d-e-f) really fast and it slides over the motive.

@@efetozturk09 I understand your point though I myself don't particularly have a preference for how that motif is played. When Liszt was a conductor, it is very likely that was how he perceived how that motif should sound if you look at his piano transcription of this symphony (He uses grace notes for the motif). I believe he made 2 transcriptions, the second one being after he had significantly more experience conducting. Shows that it really depends on your own understanding of the piece and your preference. Cheers.

Love seeing how they've been solving the social distancing issues with each piece. Question: I saw with another concerto, the oboes were sitting at the very front of the stage to avoid "blowing" onto other players. But now with this piece, even the flutes are "allowed" to sit in close proximity to other players. Isn't this a bit dangerous? Maybe the orchestra has agreed to self isolate making this safer?
