The orchestral performances of the Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra on the zevnikov channel, especially the Scheherazade, ruclips.net/video/1i6TsIVKByM/видео.html , is exceptional in audio and video recording quality of a live performance. 108K views of this re-mastered version and 2.85M of the original, ruclips.net/video/17lEx0ytE_0/видео.html Copeland's "Appalachian Spring" and Dvořák's Number 9 "From the New World" are proof that "exceptional" is the norm for this production company.
_Why someone did not figure out social distasting for performers before is beyond me. The sound is absolutely incredible IMHO. GOD bless this performance!_ 😍
Fantastica interpretazione!
This is a new style performance of Beethoven's 5th. The performance is so bright and positive that I can find "5th" is another "Ode to Joy". Beethoven seems to have got the peaceful feeling after tragic and serious struggles in many cases.
Quite interesting seeing the orchestra using viennese horns and modern trumpets when they usually play with historical brass (at least in the last years).
@@arsnova3119 Yes i noticed that. This orchestra plays with a peculiar mix of instruments when it comes to baroque and classical period music. Maybe the change of brass was because of the contingency measures, especially with the baroque trumpets, they're quite large and uncomfortable when it comes to taking out the spit. But I'm sure there's a better explanation.
Greater perhaps but is it more perfect, more original in conception? I love all of the symphonies and I believe Beethoven himself considered the Eroica his finest symphony. I have a great liking for no 8, a very unusual and original piece. Thank you!
I rarely follow Maestro Herreweghe's work, but has he always been directing like this? Idk, hands movement seemed a bit off but maybe thats just me. Splendid audio engineering work though. Bravi!
After a long period of listening to the whole cycle of Mahler's symphonies and Mozart's serenades, this No.5 seems so short, even much shorter, even shorter than Mozart's serenades. And, in terms of sensitivity and musical phrases, it seems to me that Mahler is much closer to Mozart than Beethoven, even when sharing the Romantics' taste for supreme loudness.
Sound producer is a genius. I've never heard such good mixing of woodwinds sounds
Finally some love for sound producers ^^ people really don't realize that they are 50% of what's behind a good recording
Agreed. How about the video director, always looking at the right musician when it is their time to shine!

But the kontrabass have gut strings and old bows???

Perfect! Amazing sound!
Does anybody else think like I do that this is Beethoven's most original, perfectly conceived and written symphony?
next to the third one, yes

Bravo bravo . Je ne peux pas dire plus.
So beautiful!! Without conductor.

Thank you very much for your magnificent work and interpretation.
My favourite orchestra HR FRANKFURT Sinfonie again in live concert!! Great. Yet I like more Orozco-Estrada Beethoven Fifth.
BRILLIANT I LURRRVE IT!! When this pandemic recedes hot foot to Frankfurt to Hear/See you live!!!
Obrigado por essa preciosidade!
Das Rumgezuckele und Fummeln mit der Partitur (sollte ja wohl im Kopf sein). Bestnote an den Konzertmeister, der das ganze Ding zusammenhält.
Muchisimas gracias!.
WHY IS IT SO DAMN GOOD
Wonderful! Thank you for this kind of art! :-)

Good !!!
The music is beautiful of course but I can't help but keep eyeing that gorgeous oboe player
He's so handsome... it's Nicolas Cock-Vassiliou. Watch Brahms Symphony 1 with this orchestra... they show him much more and longer than necessary...😁
@@THyperon thanks. Will make sure to check it out :)
@@superpapa4740 I meant the guy but I guess there's an oboe player for every preference!
This orchestra's performances allow me to believe for a few minutes at a time in the possibility of civilization.
Well, very well!

Dieser Dirigent ist leider durchaus überbewertet. Das Orchester trotzdem wie immer herausragend.
This person in front of the orchestra is not a conductor. He is terrible. How can he is permitted to stand in front of such a wonderful orchestra?

The fff sections could have been slightly slower - more grand tempo, but the musicianship and sound engineering on balance were fantastic.

Lack of drama and excitement, perhaps...

The orchestra should play as he conduct which is terrible. Shame on him!
