Thank you for the review... I think it's great that the tech advances and the price keeps on dropping... Win win for all of us. The future is bright. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, I can understand why but they are very hard to do well because you can only cover the basics and thats fine for making a buying choice maybe, but it doesnt help you for the longer term enjoyment and ownership, so you may end up buying the wrong thing and have regret. I pride myself on if you have watched my videos there will be no regret as you know what you are getting. Plus you also need to have multiples of everything all at once and its hard to have that
i love these new projectors amazing videos as always.. now what i would like to see is a projector have a crazy bright screen during the day and also have a 120hz display doing 300 inches ESPECIALLY for gaming UGHHHHH but these new ones are amazing thooo
I have one coming that is this, exactly this however I wont be able to test it in the daylight as there is none in the demo room I use, sorry about that
@@PursuitPerfectSystem thats fine! Im already a huge fun of your videos everytime they pop up on my Page 😄😄 Soo lovely your content and you talk about it with such passion! Been watching your channel for quite some time, and I hope you're not abandoning two channel Hi-Fi... I have almost zero interest in AV projectors and home theater products...
Haha, not at all, I started this channel with the intention to review hifi and home cinema gear but it ended up all being HiFi. I did one projector review and then had loads of companies reach out. It makes a change for me and now during the summer with the kids off school its a great way to spend some time with them. I have some New HiFi products here under embargo until Ocotber. I am finishing up reviews on 2 amps right now and I have loads more hifi here. I have one brand new projector coming but thats all for the displays for 2024
It's still disappointing that the DMD chip used in this model is the smaller 0.47 and not the larger 0.65 which provides better native contrast and reportedly is more reliable as well. The Viewsonic X-1 4K features this larger chip and is cheaper to boot. Benq's W4000i which sits in a higher price bracket and the X3100i are also worth considering as contenders in this segment.
Its all pros and cons, the Benq 4000 is much more expensive and also traditional PJ in that is has to be mounted, rather than this lifestyle type of design. Its running Android TV so not native for Netflix so its all pro and cons even at higher price tags. Competition is good though PJ's didnt use to have this so prices were crazy high for what we was getting.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Thank you for responding to my post. Yes, it's a different product category although I am not quite sure if many people tend to move their projector around. So maybe the latest trend of equipping these projectors with a gimbal is nothing more than a gimmick, at least here for the European market. Even if I decided to buy a lifestyle projector, once set up it would probably remain firmly in place for the best part of its service life. The operating system whether it be Android or Google TV is not a major consideration in my case as I have a HTPC with an RTX Nvidia GPU which is absolutely fantastic.
I agree I would do the same, but even in the same situation, I used t have a high end sony projector high at the back of the room and had to use the lens to mechanically angle the image down. With the gimbal I would just angle the lens at the screen more easily and I dont have to pay huge money for the cost of the mechanics to move the lens. Its not a gimmick its about making projector life easier and less complicated so for more people. I later had a benq and had to move the lens with manual rotary controls on the projector itself to do this and focus. I always thought this was terrible for the thousands its cost me, a lot less than the sony still. Now we get auto ficus in projectors for a few hundred pounds which is much better.
After the discount it ends more like £1500 and yes there is a lot of competition in this space which is good for consumers. Triple Laser, no fan noise, cracking image makes a compelling case for itself even with the competition
@@PursuitPerfectSystem I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. By any chance, for future videos, could you include data like input lag and so on? I know it's not easy to gather such data, but at least, what the company claims :) Thanks!
Hello, excellent work. I have watched many reviews on projectors this one catches my eye. I was worried to hear that runs a Google operating system, does that mean it won't run the Amazon fire stick especially with some 3rd party apps? Sensitive subject for sure
It has 2 hdmi ports on the rear that you can plug anything you want into like a fire stick. Googletv built in is so that you don’t need to use a device like a fire stick as streaming is already built in
The GMGO N1S we are offered on Amazon highlight that it is a "CHINESE Version" and seems to indicate that its not compatible with Australian USA google and Netflix and other streaming services over here. Now I am not tech savvy so am I seeing this wrong. Can someone help illuminate this for me in simple language. I really would love to hold one of these but I sense hidden technical traps. Thankyou, and grateful to anyone who can help.
Please someone help with the following. On a you tube called "the hook up" best portable projector comparison, The JMGO N1S was featured about 4 weeks ago.. It had built in google and they said it was about 1000 ansi lumans and around $950 American. Lots want it. It's amazing how much technology on these units is evolving, so tiny and yet so powerful. Thanks Terry for another comprehensive review.
In all honesty there's not much to a projector it shouldn't cost as much as it does 🤷

Atom is a different category of product, it’s super small. The n1s is the better projector but it’s larger and more expensive and 4k hope that helps

I don’t know sorry
There is chinese language only and no google, you have to use google chromecast or something like that.

Dangbei Atom Laser projector.
last year’s model? the ultimate is 3.5k lumens
No this years model, this is newer than the Ultimate, slightly lower cost not as bright
fan noise level? to me it is one of the most important aspect of projector performance
I mentioned fan noise, or the lack of any in the first minute or so
