@@CoachAnthonyBoxing hey coach just want to also chime in to let you know there exists more interest in seeing a video with closing the gap on an opponent. Thanks for all you do.
you put out quality videos, you deserve your success. We have boxing here at our gym, mostly kids, but I have your videos playing all the time and what they like is they tell me you're easy to understand and put into action.
G'day Coach, from Brisbane Australia. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your knowledge and wisdom. It's making me a better Boxer. Which makes me a better Man also. ✌️❤️🙏
You have inspired me to get back good look fam you for all you do for the sport...not shire where you from but back home we had a couch Antony you reminded me of him. He use to make us fight with gloves on to stop the beef with guns.. salute
Even with the pivot looks like you still need to step a little with the front foot before, just to get the better position for the left hook. So like you said, why not just disguise it and get more momentum with the shuffle. Thank you coach!
The first is a standard / beginner boxing pivot. The second is a more advanced / Tyson peekaboo / Lomachenco style of skip step of cutting an angle. An advanced move or step is always better than a normal move given normal circumstances. I personally find the pivot less preferable also in this same move. But remember that fighting is always a dynamic equation and you always have to adjust and adapt. So the pivot definitely has its own uses.
@@CoachAnthonyBoxing So used to pivoting after the hook, but this technique created a bit more space and I can still come back with a combination. Thanks again
After i watch again the second is better when you kick off your leg small or big step than the first when just pivot because it's give you more distance for the opponent not to counter you can land left leg in the same spot your right leg step cut angle to create distance
excellence tnk a lot i learn more boxing skill..all video..save my file and teach my son...techniques godbless more bless to com your vlog..thnk you very much
I use that step with the hook (2nd one) quite often since that video you put out a while back. Now sometimes I combine it with the "double trap" technique from another one of your videos. I step with the hook like you displayed when my opponent has his back on the ropes , then I follow up with punches to push him to the corner. It has worked very effectively for me, I love to combine those 2 lessons
Coach - I think the Eastern Europeans call what you did at 4:44 as "bumping." I never really knew the strategy behind it but like always, you did just that and slowed it down enough for me to take it to the bag tonight. Thanks Coach Ant - peace out and shout out from N'awlins down south.
Been following you since march of this year I love to see your channel grow, as well as the improvement in content structure. Gonna try and buy one of your programs when I start getting deeper in to boxing.
Love the videos bro , currently training my 7 year old son , you've given us alot of help and techniques, I'm originally from new Jersey would love to stop by when im in the area so maybe you can work with him a little
I’m kinda new to your channel but I don’t think I’ve seen any videos dealing with mma. I only mention it because I see a cage. I understand if you’re specifically a boxing coach and if so I’d like to know do you have any specific techniques you add, change, and or remove if you are working boxing with an mma fighter?
Can you step with your left foot outside of his left foot then pivot with a right to the body followed by a left to the head. Seems more natural to me.
Awesome videos, you always give me and my partner things to work on outside of the gym. We r going to pitch in together for the counters and set up video, I've been waiting for that kind of video to drop. Thanks for all you do, you've elevated our skill set from all the RUclips videos you put out, I can't wait to learn all your counters and set ups. Thank you and God bless you and yours
I like the move, however, it should be done preferably at a very close range. If you're doing it from mid range the opposing fighter can do the same pivot at the exact same time and throw a right hand, and his straight right will get there before your left hook. If you have him smothered and do the pivot, you can throw the left hook but he can't throw the straight right or a right hook as 1) he doesn't have the space to throw the straight right 2) he doesn't have the angle to loop it or make it into a right hook. Another great video!
Hi Coach Anthony, excuse the question but many professionals do not turn their feet in the left hook. do you recommend doing it or not? does not rotate in combinations?
For a beginner after they throw that three punch combo ending in a left hook should they pivot left side? Or is that just to avoid the opponents offense?
the obvious punch you would try to catch someone doing this with, being your own left hook behind the ear Duran and Pacman; will turn that left hook into a body shot when they can't use it as a "throw away", but still want the position and timing... sliping the timing of that counter left hook
Hey coach, I'm seriously considering buying the counter-punch video, and I'm just curious, do any of the scenarios involve countering a southpaw fighter? Thanks in advance for your time!
There is a few but I would envision boxing another southpaw for the ones that are not specific to a southpaw vs orthodox situation in the end these are fundamentals you must learn!
Coach Anthony is there a danger of them hitting you with a hook while you pivot to the right like this? Should we watch out for that or does it get jammed up because you are moving closer and we don't have to worry about it? Thanks for all you do Coach, congrats on 100K!
congrats on 100k Coach. Road to 1 million now.
Thank you bryan

Should I get an angle bag for boxing and muay thai or should I just get a heavy bag? Both will be 5ft about 100lbs
Congrats coach Ant. Is the second one what loma does with his opponents?
Hi Coach Anthony, excuse the question but many professionals do not turn their feet in the left hook. do you recommend doing it or not? does not rotate in combinations?
Love this guy
The step with the hook also adds bodyweight to it
For a beginner after they throw that three punch combo ending in a left hook should they pivot left side? Or is that just to avoid the opponents offense?

What about pivoting on the other angle.. Could something work like this? Or would you be too far out?
Best coach💪🏻 I’m from Russia ✋
