    i feel like you really helped my hair become healthier overall because i was trapped in a mindset where i thought i had to listen to what other people said for example. cantu works amazing on my hair but once people started saying it was bad i stopped using it and my hair wouldn’t take in moisture well. although my hair hasn’t gotten too much longer i know soon it will because of all i have done to try and take care of it better and i feel i owe a lot of that to you simply because of your advice

      Maybe invest in a silk beanie or something when you're at home? Or going somewhere casual? or wear it up when you're out? But idk, what styles do you do when you're out or at home?

    This video honestly gave me a lot of hope. When I was around 10-12 my hair got very damaged because the people around me couldn't manage my thick hair. It was long as well, so that was more stress. Two years later I chopped off some more because it was only me taking care of it most of the times and I got frustrated. For years I've been trying to see what produced work with my hair and it's only last year I found one that dies. I will admit I have zero patience and was one who also hopped on trends, but after a few months of only using this one product, I will admit it has done way better than all the rest. My hair is now showing moderate growth and I'm going to trim it soon. This video has given me the encouragement to find a good routine and stick with it. To be honest, I was planning on locking it out of frustration as well, but you gave be the motivation to keep going with mu hair. I thank you ♥

    I’m just going to be transparent… I’m 11 years old and I’ve finally been given the responsibility of my OWN head. I lost hair due to wanting to do trending hairstyles and also cut my hair taking braids out which has cause length loss. I’ve been watching you for a while now and I’ve learned to LEAVE IT ALONE and not do my hair every 2 hours

      Me too. Im 11 and I've been refusing to go to this salon that puts heat everywhere on your hair and is too tight. My mom finally agreed to let me take care of my hair. I've lost length not because of trying hairstyles but trying all these remedies on my hair and always touching it all the time. Right now Im just moisturizing it, then leaving it alone

    Patience and consistency definitely. Stop comparing others growth to yours.. my hair shrinks sooo much.. so it really doesn't show growth until I straighten it. Persons would always ask if I cut my hair.. but it's shrinkage!

    I was told o have a great oil and butter but I don’t have a natural hair routine. I have been natural all my life but since I moved to the states from the ISVI, the water has been demanding to my hair, that’s what the dermatologist said.

    • @allisongarrettbarber
      @allisongarrettbarber Год назад +1

      That is true about the 💧, In the state, there's chemicals in the water. Overseas NO CHEMICALS in the water, so it grows better. So we can use bottled water or distilled water.

    I learned a long time ago just because people post before and after pictures of girls with their backs turned with long hair on one side short hair on the other side doesn't mean that's the same girl it could be two different people with the same shirt on pretending like the girls hair grow so long because it could be one girl with short hair, and another girl with long hair but they just have on the same shirt, the only way I will believe it is if they show a person's face so you can see if it's the same person but they always have their backs turn so you can't see if that's the before and after of the same exact person

    Omg the tone of this video is so preachy - so many of guys love to, so many naturals this, so many people that gosh. Just listing the points would have just been fine.
    If every hair is different, it just makes sense that people would try different things trying to find what works for them. The 2 first points are contradictory in a way.
