YES to Colonel Kemp all the way! I don't give a stuff about Harry's image either. The focus should always be on the courageous veterans who take part and all other veterans out there whose lives have been shattered physically and emotionally by war and who need the all the help they so richly deserve. Kudos to Harry for initiating the Invictus Games in the first place but he's done so much disservice to his family and to the British armed forces since then that I feel someone else should take his place in running the games from now on. Someone who knows what the words 'humility', 'respect' and 'loyalty' really mean. You had it all and you blew it, Harry!

My father was a young man in India en route to fighting in Burma when he was told that his beloved mother had died. He had to keep fighting and even had to go back after coming home on leave with shell shock. He had treatment at all Harry was one of the most privileged men in the world and yet he couldn't get help...rubbish.

It is not just the Colonels opinion ralph, he spoke from a role of leadership as a decorated veteran. He spoke from a place of recognition that the wounded veterans have suffered immeasurably, something Harry never did, Harry was never, ever on the front lines and actually quite protected by a given number of soldiers at all times. I feel he held back out of respect to the RF from saying what he knew about bunker Harry. I think Invictus needs to replace Harry and MM doesn't need to speak at all, this is about the soldiers, why she didn't even know Harry when he was in the military. Harry needs to move on now and allow a real hero to replace him.

My husband served for 24 years and for the majority of that time we were married. He saw numerous tours of conflict both as a junior and as a senior member of the army, he would never try to make his experiences and hardships he experienced any different to anybody else’s. They served together and supported each other. Nina has no idea what it is like to serve or to be close to anyone who served. Thank you Colonel for putting the clarity into this article.

I understand the loneliness part. I've not served, but a neighbour did 18 years in the army. We just got on and he came round every day with his guitar and tried teaching me. I never said no to him and enjoyed his company. He only once mentioned that he was used to the routine and missed the regiment. So I knew there was something. I gave him time and didn't ask him any questions. He was a really good guy and very protective of me. I've moved since and the last I knew he was working with his dad fitting carpets.
Give me a break. This woman saying he didn’t get therapy when he got back. A poor person has to be put on a waiting list to go to therapy that’s funded by the government. But if you’re a millionaire you could easily find a therapist right away so give me a break.

Why is he constantly using the word PTSD? I am a military veteran and suffer from flashbacks after being bullied in a civilian job. I was off work for 10 weeks and over the time away I was shown how to treat the flashbacks. Which I have done for now years. Many veterans do cope but we do not keep talking about PTSD to make money and look for sympathy. He is shameful and disrespectful to all veterans all over the world, who suffer. Finally, weldone Colonel Kep for speaking up for the veterans and all service people.

Mommy didn't die with Harry present and he never witnessed her suffering as she was dying. Had that occurred his PTSD would have some relationship to a wartime experience but that never has been the case for Harry. Harry was never even tasked with caring for his mother through her personality disorder rants. That was strictly Prince Williams resonsibility late at night especially while he was away at school. I've worked with a guy with PTSD. I didn't realise he had it, fortunately I worked with an ex RSM who picked up on it almost immediately. They guy hadn't received any help in over 10 years being out of the service. This ex RSM, had the contacts and got him the help he desperately needed.

He has NEVER thanked them of their families for the sacrifice they made for him to play tou soldier. His selfish arrogance, stubbornly, forcing the hand of his grandmother, to allow him to go out there in the first place, put many servicemen and women at unnecessary risk ! I support very much our service people. Anyone can suffer PTSD from a whole range of traumas. However, there is some support out there and people have to try and piece their lives back together as best they can. This is why they deserve our support. They are truly braver than the rest of us. However, Prince Harry, regardless of his army service, always makes it about him. He should maintain his dignity and work within these boundaries with service people privately and quietly. The world doesn't need to see him spill his guts constantly. Go away Harry and work properly for these causes without having to do Netflix and social media. Bless our service people. They deserve better from us when their careers are over. They also don't have 16 million in the bank!

This is the first I've heard about Harry having PTSD. How could he have PTSD when he was surrounded by bodyguards all the time? He was never in the same kind of danger as the other soldiers including my 2 sons who served in the US Air Force during Desert Storm. If my sons were so protected during their service I wouldn't have gone gray quite so young. Sorry if I have NO SYMPATHY for Harry. Frankly I don't even believe him.

I agree, my sister did two tours in support of Desert Storm. I see the PTSD & physical injuries she has as a result. I don't believe him either, they've made themselves hypocrites & proven liars. He should have left the RF & his mother out of this, it served no purpose, it did not help the veterans. There are better ways/other options on how to speak & support this cause. It's obvious he doesn't have a professional speech writer.
Apparently, according to the very guys he served alongside with in his unit, at the first sign of trouble/ combat, the little ginger one was ushered away to a bunker where he'd play PlayStation games til it was all over.

Totally agree with the Colonel. We've heard over and over and over again, about Harry's struggles. Harry and Meghan actually delight in their victim narrative. Quite frankly, I for one am sick of it, and it's ridiculous that Nina is telling the Colonel what he needs to understand, what he needs to do...He's the one with the actual experience Nina!
The Colonel is completely right. Nina says that Harry only speaks for about 10 minutes. Then he should have been extremely selective and careful about how he used that 10 minutes. Make it about others and not himself. The fact that he's trying to identify with the veterans and sharing in their suffering just rings hollow. If he'd been completely honest and admitted that he was privileged and had sacrificed less but received far more help, he would have been respected for his candour and humility.
PTSD from being protected by multiple bodyguards while he was in the armed forces, he was so far away from the front line he never heard a shot never mind shooting anyone, the only time he fired a gun was in training and on the family fox hunts

These ladies proven the Colonel’s point, the issue is that people are not highlighting the veterans but are focused on Harry. And the nerve they gave to say we are not being fair when here Harry is being condescending as a brat and using any excuse he can to act like he was a victim is gross and why people are not tuning in. We saw enough to know Harry was using Invictus, those wounded soldiers, as a way to reprop his image into a more favorable ground.
I am a priest who has counseled soldiers, Marines, and sailors after returning from combat and suffering PTSD. This is truly offensive to these service members. Isn’t Invictus about these service men and women? Yet they are so self-giving and sacrificial that they never make this about them. They so truly do not want to make it about them, that they truly try to suffer alone and quietly. They don’t want public attention, but truly need our support, while respecting their privacy.
