We were no. 17 (side car outfit) and were doing really well untill Gatwick when a clevis pin fell off and the clutch actuator unwound and fell off as well, By the time we realised we had travelled 2 1/2 miles and had to walk back to find it and finished last to great aplause!! A grand day out - thank you Sunbeam owners club.
My brother and I came to see the start of this event years ago( 40 years). We arrived in the middle of the night coming from Belgium, and took a taxi to Epsom. Wonderful memories till this day. Long life to you all and your wonderful machines. Kind regards blacksmith Filip Ponseele

I saw them in the sunshine at Shoreham a few hours later. Amazing how many need cajoling within a few metres of the start. Hat off to all the riders!
And I always thought these beauties were rare as hen's teeth. Well done Sunbeam Motorcycle Club for keeping them alive, running and rideable.

Looks like about 47.3 horsepower between everyone 😂. Looks fun though.
This has an odd feel of like planes taking off going to war.
