Hello Friend, loveing this video. Oh my goodness, the more you add the more I get excited to craft again. I love that you have chosen to get a sewing machine. love this pocket. just pulled a folio full of old maps and paperbacked atlas pages that were from my Fathers desk and airplane. Such a great way to use some of these heavier papers. Hope you are having nice evening!
Brilliant, I’ve got loads of paper and card left from my card making days and lots of pretty paper stacks, thankyou for sharing a way to make use of them and all my scraps in my scrap boxes. I wasn’t looking forward to throwing out the scraps and now I don’t have to. Really enjoying your videos, I’ve made a few small journals and am also a beginner at sewing. Thanks again x
You are so new to me joie de fi but I am so stoked by the inspiration you have given to me! I have been very slow in catching onto the postings of many of the journal videos but you have changed all that for me! I am so loving your channel.
Very well done- easy to follow. I fill pockets with tags and cards, envelopes just like you have. I also include a copy of an old postcard from the town where I live( I have a collection from my Great Grandmother) late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Sometimes a handmade ATC- original art. I tend to try to be original - not use digital prints - they are beautiful but everyone uses them. I like to be me.
Hi Joie, these pockets are great, both for sending happy mail and in journals. Atlas papers are one of my fav too. Regarding your sewing machine, try good quality needles, if you want to do more layers of paper then needles intended for jeans might become your best friends. Where as for thin papers needles for silks are way better. Often it is not the machine itself, but the needles that make the difference.
I have made some of these, I I use them as a card, and put notes of a variety of kinds in the pockets as an encouragement note kind of thing., verses and such, those to whom I had sent these, have use them as book marks and in their purses and the like, they are truly great fun and useful;\.
