Wow..well now this might just be the springboard for me to actually starr a junk journal!To see examples of all the terms like bellybands and tick spots was amazing...I couldnt even understand the terms before i watched!And to work systematically on 3 pages to just stick in a journal really yells out to me "Right..get started"!!

I'm in Houston, Texas USA and I had no plans for today. So I'm quietly watching this video as I drink a cup of coffee. All of your instructions on how to make these pages were crystal clear (no surprise there) but when you added that paint-splotched green piece of paper to that first page, my mouth dropped open. I've seen you do it multiple times, but it is always amazing to me to see the second your creation/vision comes alive. Everything just clicked in with that one little bit of paper. So now I'm grabbing my supplies and as soon as I finish watching the rest of this video, I will get to making these pages. TFS - stay safe out there and have a blessed week!
As ever Joie a fabulous video... I am always scared of being too eclectic in my junk journals, that it doesn't 'go' together but perhaps I need to play and create lots of mini ready to use pages first... and get into the rhythm and use up my scraps and the millions of books I keep buying! 💜
This video is the essence of Joie, I think. All the things you love and enjoy. Thanks for sharing. Always inspiring. I think this option is excellent for the person who doesn't have a "real" junk journal, or what most people would consider one to be. How fun to just make these pages and glue them into a composition book or anything repurposed, even another book. Less intimidating than working right on the final page. That first step is always the hardest when creating. In my opinion. Also, did you mention washi tape in the recent pod cast? If you didn't it certainly should be on your list of favorite ingredients. Hahaha Thanks for all you and your YT colleagues do.

I make cards and envelopes mostly. I didn't really know I enjoyed it until the year that changed everything, so now for almost two years, every piece of stationary or "pretty trash" gets saved. Your ideas are amazing. I am using several of your ideas tonight. I bought an old book from a thrift shop today.

I just noticed two details that I especially appreciate about your journaling style. 1. You mix straight edges with torn edges on the page, and 2. You do NOTadd ink (e.g. vintage photo) to the edges of all of your papers. ❣️

I think working on several pages at once is a brilliant idea. If you pick something up and it doesn’t work on one pages, hopefully it will work on one of the others.

I just noticed two details that I especially appreciate about your journaling style. 1. You mix straight edges with torn edges on the page, and 2. You do NOTadd ink (e.g. vintage photo) to the edges of all of your papers. ❣️
