Hi Joie 😃. I really really love the simplicity of your creations which is so well suited for the beginners. I love the way you use junk and cheap material, when some people use a lot of stickers of all sorts bought on Aliexpress, and the not too much difficult techniques with which you create really beautiful compositions and Ephemera like it was sophisticated. You are a great source of inspiration to me. My junk journals are highly inspired by you, together with Francesca from Junk journal Joy and Natasha from Treasure Books, you are all my top 3 🥰. Many thanks for sharing all this with us💜
I personally love how you aren't just trying to do the same thing as everyone else. The relaxed atmosphere is just what I needed. :) Thank you for all you do!
Joie your video was a godsend to me because I’ve been at the crossroads of journaling thinking, “will this please others” and being stifled by those thoughts. Well, today, after watching you, it’s given me room to say I can just please myself. I love your ideas and I’ve made a few little albums from watching you. So, thanks and thanks.🌷I will watch this video over and over again. You’re a star!💐🌻🌱
I just love you. I have been watching you for several years. I like how your journals are bright and pretty. It’s nice to see work that is less grungy. I have memory issues, so I often watch your videos over and over. I can’t remember, have you done a video about storage? It seems like you have. Anyway, you have a true fan. Blessings.❣️🙏🎨
❤I also love your videos and also struggle with short term memory issues from two brain surgeries. I love that you are clear and to the point. There are tons of wonderful RUclips channels but many of them loose me in their chatter. I am new to junk journal and I love how this video shows your personal evolution in this particular art of creating junk journals. My sister and I via text and zoom are doing the 100 day challenge. This video is perfect for that as you show how you do lots of the same thing in practice to then use as ephemera. Thank you so much!
I love your style, you are so creative. Don't compare yourself against anyone, just being you is so fabulous. I don't think you realize how many people look up to you and think they could never be so good. I have been painting on ephemera and book pages because of you.
Confidence. It is amazing how we restrict ourselves through lack of confidence. So glad you pushed through questioning yourself and have embarked on your creative journey. Even happier you have chosen to invite us along on that journey.
I absolutely adore your channel and creations, Joie! Just find your own style. Even if you're inspired by others, put your own, unique touch and flair to it. There are 49k people who subscribed to your channel because of YOU. I have learned many different techniques from watching and listening to you. Don't change! Be comfortable and confident in YOUR talents; not compare them to others. Keep doing YOU! 😊💗
You're absolutely right about the whole creative process. If you HAVE to create something, it takes the fun clean out of it. And we are our own hardest critics. I love your work, your painting has re-activated my interest, everything you do is pleasing to my eye and every video is inspiring. There are so many "ways to be creative", why confine ourselves to just one way? Having fun is vital for well being.
This is a lovely tribute to all of your creations over the last several years. I have to say, I have loved and learned so much from watching them. I'm grateful to have found your channel and thankful for all the fun and inspiration. Looking forward to continuing on this fabulous journey. I so appreciate your kindness in sharing with us here on You Tube.🍂😊🍁
Another Thursday evening treat! I identify with you in finding my own style. I want so much to be more freestyle and think outside the box. You’re encouraging and empathetic in that respect. I watch your videos for inspiration and in finding more fun in what I love to do. You’re an art therapist, too! You just lift my day and my spirits when I watch you. Thanks so much.
Dear Joie- thank you for sharing your journey with us. I remember that beautiful La Blanche Lily stamp that you painted on book pages and the gorgeous Holly berry wood block stamp. But as you said, it’s not just about amassing supplies…it’s about using what you have to bring joy to your journal page! The inspiration we see here on RUclips is fuel that sparks our creative process. The artists who take care to share their gifts here are greatly appreciated! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us! 🙏💖🎨🖋🦋
I want to say that you’ve found your own unique style & it’s lovely! What your creations remind me of is Edith Holden wrote and drawed for her journaling for what we have came to love as her country diary based on her outlook on her daily concepts of life as she visited nature, took walks then wrote and drawed what she’d seen and her books have became famous, and you create, draw, glue, paint, stick, sew, cut, tear, paste, color, and so much more based on the same principles you go for a walk whether it be spring, summer, fall, or winter and you create it in a journal that’s your inspiration and it’s so like Edith Holden just in a different way. So with that said I hope you know that you’re videos are why I keep coming back to RUclips and why I never get tired of your amazing unique only Joie style. Don’t ever sell yourself short because you found yourself and it’s amazing, thank you for sharing it with us. ❤
You know how much I love you and the work that you do. I'm glad you are coming to grips with some of the things that have been bothering you. You're such an amazing talented woman. I think your style is unique to our community and it offers so much even if people are not doing exactly what you do you still Inspire us to do lots of beautiful things.
Joie, you are an inspiration for this old gal. Yes, sometimes we do put pressure on ourselves and enjoy the ourselves less. But when we do find our own path, creating becomes a joy. One of my favorites is collaging on paper strips with scraps and adding stamps, paint, and words. I learned this from one of your tutes and find I love the process and the result. TYFS all of your tutorials. I enjoy them a lot!
Hello Joie and nice to meet you! I’m so thankful your video popped into my feed. I’m a great buyer of supplies and collector of materials, but I pull up short when faced with the actual execution of crafting. This video (and I will subscribe and watch others of yours) is invaluable to getting me going. I especially value the thoughts and motivations you’ve shared. Just what I needed to hear! So thank you from the bottom of my heart. 😊
August ..29...2024..Painting is fun. I'll be doing a lot of fun stuff soon . The weather is going to cool off and I'll be is side a lot. Thank you for inspiration. Take care of yourself and stay positive. Ups and downs come, but they won't last always. Keep your head up an push forward ,doing your best. 🎶🤗🤗🙏💎😍 I'm here everyday. Hugs and love to you. 💜
Your videos are so inspiring and most of all encouraging. As we all watch other artists we think we “need” to be doing this or that. It can be confusing and create discouraging mind games. I love watching videos, but I need to remember one thing instead of thinking “I need” to do that, I’m going to starting thinking “I want” to do this. I keep thinking I need to do more with paint. When actually my question should be do I want to do more with paint. This video is a reminder of this. Thank you thank you and thank you, Joie ❤️❤️❤️
I just love your passion for paints. Every time I watch one of your videos with you painting I have to get my paints out and play. Thank you for another wonderful video. 😊
Please keep doing it your own way. You have created your own signature of doing things nature and even down to your favorite colors of the greens, browns, reds, and oranges. This is the Joie we all love and get our inspiration from so keep doing it the Joie way and loving what you do. ❤
My neighbor is going to be a first time grandma, so she asked me to make her two bsby blankets. So here I go again doing one of the things i enjoy doing. In still going to watch your videos I do this a lot before I go to bed.💖🤗🤗🤗🙏🏿
I hope that re-watching your videos and commenting keep your channel alive. Appreciate you sharing the kind of stress and anxiety that was moving into your journaling. I think Above All Else junk journaling should be enjoyable. I want to use more pain like you are doing in this video both on the pages and little ephemera. So glad I can go back and watch those videos over again as my memory is so bad
Thank you so much Joie. I'm new to junk journaling as such, not new to journaling or paints. I love your free spirit approach which is why you resonate with me so much. You tips have ignited me into creating again, junk journaling with freedom and most of all it allows me to be me 🥰🖌📚
A wonderful how to video! I haven't started crafting. Well I started once but then something else happened. I haven't started again now there are more family members and friends who have passed on. Now I have another uncle who is on comfort care. At least I can still watch wonderful people like you creating. Thank you so much for your! God bless! Love hugs and prayers my friend! 🌻😇🧡🤗🙏🌻
The story of your growth and progression was interesting and enlightening. You have never shown any lack of confidence and I have always admired your professionalism. From your encouragement I have started to dabble a bit with watercolor paints. I love how you use mostly books for your junk journals. I watch and rewatch your videos and try to emulate your work. Gradually I am developing my own style as well. 💜🐞
Joie, be true to yourself always and do what makes you happy. I've been watching you for a few years and I love your style. I do watch a lot of different artists and they have their own styles, too. I like the variety. I think all your followers will stay with you, no matter what direction you go in. It's so fun watching you grow. Love you!
I love what you do. I've finished my sewing and have been cleaning my house. I have an eye appointment with a specialist. My right one is not what it used to be. I'm getting new glasses ..it's time. That's why I watch you on TV. I can see better. I always love how you show us step by step so we can know that we can do the project. Thanks so much my friend. 🤗🤗🙏🙏🏿👍
Your channel is one of the few ones where I don't feel overwhelmed and I find watching your videos very relaxing!!!! You are very talented and creative and your kindness shines through.I also appreciate the fact that you don't rely on just digitals. Not everyone can afford digital after digital . In some ways, in my opinion , digitals are not what I think of when it comes to "junk journals".Thankyou for your beautiful videos! A big hello from Smithers, British Columbia, Canada
Wow, well it's a super big hello from me over here in little England!!! I'm so grateful for your lovely words. I don't make digitals so I'm not so inclined to use them 😉😉❤️🌿👍💜
Hi sweetheart 🤗 I truly wonder how many of us have felt lost and unsure about what our JJ style is/was and went off looking at more and more and MORE JJ videos only to bring more confusion to the situation and make things even worse. Simply put, at least for me, I just need to START - put pen (or brush or pencil or whatever) to paper, make a mark, and go from there. Pam at The Paper Outpost reminds us often that "it's only paper", so what's the worst thing that could happen? You are such an inspiration to me - you've even gotten me trying my hand at painting for Pete's sake - now THAT took some doing. Love you bunches, hugs Joie! Ems ♥️🤗🏜🤗♥️
I am watching videos of junk journal since a few months and started trying things, but I just found your channel recently and I have to say thank you for sharing your own journey and advices for beginners. You just describe how I feel, like comparing myself, not have confidence in what I do, getting stuck and sometimes discouraged, etc. What you say and show help to remove pressure and focus on pleasure. I will certainly watch a lot of your videos! PS : I love your name (I'm french people, Joie means Joy in french!)
I'm not an artist, don't have a natural eye for colour, and struggle to draw stick people. I do love to cut and glue and stamp, and thanks to your gentle encouragement I now relish splattering, painting outside the lines and using up boxes of old supplies in non conventional ways.
I did the same thing Joie. Copied what others were doing. Their creations turned out lovely but they were time consuming and stressful. I wasn't having fun anymore. Now, I just do me. Keep it simple. That's my motto.
Absolutely loved this video! I too feel the overwhelm nature of multiple videos and tutorials , I don't know what I do and don't want to do with my journey. Watching this I do know I spend too much time and money watching and buying and not enough time experimenting for myself. You've reminded me I love playing in journals and I need to start that again rather than "I must create a canvas painting"
I love the joy of paper, paint and all of our supplies you have! I’ve been a creator for years and sometimes I’m still hesitant to do things I’m not familiar with. You have really helped me try more and enjoy my crafting more! Thank you for each and every one of your videos! ♥️♥️♥️
This video made me realize that you are one of my favorite creators. Thank you for all the inspiration that you have given to me and no doubt countless others. ❤
Oh, this is the very video I most needed to see Right Now! I have loads of ephemera and oodles of art supplies, but I'm really just a beginner. Perfectionism is the bane of my existence. But I don't have to be perfect. It's a Junk Journal, for goodness'sake!
I really enjoyed your video Joie! You are a very honest person and I appreciate you! I'm going to try and add more painting to my journals and ephemera!
I quite enjoy your channel. You and Treasure books are the two main channels I watch. I came into this quite by accident; I started out looking for ways to spruce up a plain commercial journal I’d purchased and had committed to writing in each day. I was planning to use stickers and colored pencils mostly. I’m still doing that in that particular journal, but now I’m starting to get the bug for real junk journaling, making everything from scratch and not relying on expensive supplies. Using my own creativity instead of that of others. Your channel has been a huge inspiration for that.
ive been painting for 27 years ,its an awsome journey i thought i was advanced ,im still feeling like a beginner at times ,because i watch so many art videos every one has thier own spin ,i love your videos ,i filled 5 out of 12 spiral journals i got on amazon a few months ago .because i paint every day and learn every day it wont be long before all 12 will be full of watercolor art.iwant to do mixed media more ,thank you
I love your style Joie. You were one of the first people on YT I watched getting into journals. I have adapted my own style after trying similar styles to others, but somehow I always come back to my own colours, techniques etc. You are definately an inspiration to me. Have a lovely weekend xxx
The journals you make and the ephemera you make is so beautiful. And so you I just as you know love what you do. Sending you blessings and love hope to see you soon again
Because of your honesty you are such an encouragement to all of us. As I've told you before I love your style and while I've been in watercolor artist for years you teach me things that are invaluable for my junk journals
I have journaled for quite a while, but am just now starting to play with watercolors, crayons and all sorts of colors in them and I am having fun with it all. This video came at just the right time, and I have enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Hello my sweet Love!! You never cease to amaze me. I'm not a painter but I did buy a pallet of water colors to try to paint some pages. I'm a nervous wreck just thinking about it. How do you overcome that fear of messing up water colors?
I really loved the video you did on the altered book. I watched it quite a few times until I was confident enough to have a go. It was the first time I'd ever used paint or ripped up a book! I love my book, splashing paint in it and doing simple collaging on top of it. I got so much out of that video and it's still my favourite thing to do. I use it for positive quotes and things I love like flowers and anything that's bright and cheerful. Thank you so much for making our journey into junk journaling so much fun 🌻💐💙
Thank you so much Joie, l’m very much a beginner so have been searching through lots of ideas on you tube . However l felt like you were chatting with me and you have inspired me . Once again, thank you xx
Hi Joie, thank you for this share. I enjoyed your painting and sketching tips but I particularly appreciated your honesty. It was interesting how you felt the pressure to perform/produce as your channel grew. I dare say many creators feel this. It was great that you could take a step back and focus on what you enjoy, ultimately this is what matters. You clearly are an artist and as such have your own unique style. I/we obviously love your style, as your subscriber numbers show! I particularly appreciate how you use paint, pen and recycled items. While there are definitely digies I love, I don’t want my journals to be only about digital files. Your videos free us from the constraints of being/doing ‘perfect.’ Thank you for encouraging freedom and acceptance. Have a great day. 😀
My daughter recently closed her gift wrapping business and she was left with tons of ribbon, wrapping paper etc. I suggested she watch your videos and use her unsold gift wrapping supplies to make your flowers etc.
Thank you for another wonderful video. I am comfortable using paints and experimenting but sometimes watching the work of others I too, wonder, why am I doing this? I think it's normal, especially for very talented women, to doubt themselves. You are incredibly talented and creative and your videos are relaxing to watch.
I think that one of the most difficult things when you’re first starting out is discovering your own style. I loved the houses that you painted here by the way. That is totally my style. I probably wouldn’t have known that a year or two ago, but I know it now. 😊
Thank you for being you. Love your style and how you create such simple things into something beautiful. Keep up the good work. Love watching your videos.
I was looking for some items and in a shoe box a lot of tags, journal cards and other things you had showed how to make and I had made some I'm ready to put some of them in a journal. Thank you again 💓❤yeah.
Absolutely love your work, your bits you add to your journal are so adorable and I have watched and tried to make them after watching because your so inspiring. Don't change, love love, love your work. Thank you
This video is absolutely wonderful & helpful it helps me not to put any pressure on myself just make what I want and love 💕 it no matter what, I’m just realizing people I’ve shared my journals, who not crafter’s don’t really understand the process of making them thinks it’s to much work as I was told just tonight but it doesn’t discourage me it just helps me to become better and this is what you do every time I watch a new tutorial from you gives me inspiration. Love the watercolors ideals I’m sure to practice this soon. Thanks for sharing 🥳💕💕
Joie, I don’t know how I missed this video, but you have given me some new ideas. I miss you so much and hope your health issues are resolving. Come back soon!
what a wonderful and much needed video - thank you Joie - this is the one thing that i find the hardest to do - but you have now given me the confidence to give this a try - i love to watch you paint - your creations are always so lovely - thank you and be well 🤗🤗 xx
I just found you a few months ago and I love to hear and see your journey. I love your style, colourful and unique. Thank you for sharing so many ideas and inspiration!😘✨💕
Great video. I seldom think to get out my paints. Only when YOU DO!! thx for sharing your tips. Love the drawing book. We just need to START! TFS! Austin,TX USA
Thank you for sharing this encourging video. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your honesty! It seems to me that all creative crafters visit the same stops of valueing our styles and skills and finding our individual ways of creativity. I just love your style and creativity! Wishing you happy moments in your craftroom.
So lovely, Joie! Thank you for going through your own process. I too am on a journey to discover who I am as an artist, and what my own style is. I have been on this journey since 2010. I have seen so many artists do so many things, and yet, when all is said and done, it has brought about much confusion to me as an artist. Your style is so freeing and I love it. But still, I must find my own adaptation of it. I struggle to find who I am as an artist, but I know that I will eventually get there. Thanks for sharing this part of your life, and thanks for all the beautiful art you share with us. (hugs)
Hi Lenella, perhaps you are never going to be a ‘particular style’ of artist. Perhaps your gift is the braveness to use many styles to create various pieces! An artist is a creator, are you creating? Keeping trying different mediums and embrace whatever makes you happy. Perhaps, like many of us, you are just eclectic in nature and so various things resonate with your soul. Take care and enjoy. Don’t limit yourself with a label! 😀🌻🦋🦓🦔
Hello Joie, enjoyed your sharing this very inspiring video. My style always changes and I love that, it never gets old for me, I am always finding something new to try. Your videos give me that too, try something new. TFS
Your videos have inspired and energized me to "Give It A GO" as you often say. Thank you for sharing everything and taking the laborious time to do it. I hope to enjoy 4 more years!
This is such an informative post! I love your suggestions and tips! Especially the use of paint!! Let’s go mixed media! 🎉❤🎉 Totally love Creations Cece!! ❤💖❤️
Thankyou Joie, this was so useful. I'm terrified of paint. I've tried several times but it always comes out such a mess. You've given me confidence to try again
Very nice video ... thank you for sharing. It looks like you have "grown" and the only way to grow is by experimenting and learning from others. We definitely are inspired by your work.
Wow!! This is so informative and I absolutely LUV all your ideas and tips!! This video is a wealth of information and provides beautiful examples of how easy collage art should be! I can’t wait to try some and start my own collage journal! Thank you so much! Please keep these coming!😊👍🏻
I LOVED this video, Joie! This was full of great ideas and I think will help me get over my fears. Incidentally, I stumbled across and bought recently the same book, A Victorian Flower Album, by Henry Terry, at an antique store. My intention was to tear it up and use it in junk journals, but it is so lovely that I don't believe I can do it. I may just use it as a reference by which to try to paint watercolor wildflowers. Thanks for sharing the ideas, and more importantly your journey and how you've come into your own AMAZING, AWESOME artistic style!!
Hi Joie 😃. I really really love the simplicity of your creations which is so well suited for the beginners. Thank you so much Joie. I'm new to junk journaling as such, not new to journaling or paints. I love your free spirit approach which is why you resonate with me so much. You tips have ignited me into creating again, junk journaling with freedom and most of all it allows me to be me 🥰🖌📚
Wow, thanks so much!🥰🥰
A wonderful how to video! 🌻😇🧡🤗🙏🌻
Sending my hugs and thoughts are with you Julia 💜💜
@@joiedefi thank you!
I so grateful!! Thank you!!❤️
I love seeing the layouts on your table, the lights are so very comforting and add a special touch.
Thanks very much Deborah. The lights are definitely cosy....💜🤗
Joie, be true to yourself always and do what makes you happy. I've been watching you for a few years and I love your style. I do watch a lot of different artists and they have their own styles, too. I like the variety. I think all your followers will stay with you, no matter what direction you go in. It's so fun watching you grow. Love you!
Thanks so much!!🤓❤️❤️
I often draw and I paint in my journals too. Lots of fun.
Excellent!💜
I love what you do. I've finished my sewing and have been cleaning my house. I have an eye appointment with a specialist. My right one is not what it used to be. I'm getting new glasses ..it's time. That's why I watch you on TV. I can see better. I always love how you show us step by step so we can know that we can do the project. Thanks so much my friend. 🤗🤗🙏🙏🏿👍
You're very welcome sweetheart ❣️
I'm ready to try painting. You make it look so easy. Thanks Joie my sweet friend.👍🏾😊🌿
Love your channel Joie! Watching you find your space and taking up that space in inspiring! Thank you!
Thanks very much Sandi, you're very welcome!!🤓👍❤️
Ems ♥️🤗🏜🤗♥️
Yay!!! Go for it Ems .. hugs to you too!!💜👍🥰🥰🥰
I am watching videos of junk journal since a few months and started trying things, but I just found your channel recently and I have to say thank you for sharing your own journey and advices for beginners.
Fantastic!!🥰💜
I did the same thing Joie. Copied what others were doing. Their creations turned out lovely but they were time consuming and stressful. I wasn't having fun anymore. Now, I just do me. Keep it simple. That's my motto.
I like that motto 🥰👍
Absolutely loved this video! I too feel the overwhelm nature of multiple videos and tutorials , I don't know what I do and don't want to do with my journey. Watching this I do know I spend too much time and money watching and buying and not enough time experimenting for myself. You've reminded me I love playing in journals and I need to start that again rather than "I must create a canvas painting"
Absolutely!!!!👍💜💜💜💜
I love the joy of paper, paint and all of our supplies you have! I’ve been a creator for years and sometimes I’m still hesitant to do things I’m not familiar with. You have really helped me try more and enjoy my crafting more! Thank you for each and every one of your videos! ♥️♥️♥️
Me too and I'm so greatful for us who love a bit of paint as well as vintage
You're very welcome ❤️❤️
💜💜👍
Aren't we our own worse critics?! I enjoyed watching how you have evolved. Your pages are beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration for a beginner. 🥰
You're absolutely right!!🤗💜
This video made me realize that you are one of my favorite creators. Thank you for all the inspiration that you have given to me and no doubt countless others. ❤
Aww, thanks so much!!🥰🥰
Oh, this is the very video I most needed to see Right Now! I have loads of ephemera and oodles of art supplies, but I'm really just a beginner. Perfectionism is the bane of my existence. But I don't have to be perfect. It's a Junk Journal, for goodness'sake!
Exactly!!!! And it's your own journey to make, in whatever way you want! Thanks very much for popping by to watch Cynthia!!❤️❤️
I wish I could explain how much you inspire me to try new things; I have learned so many things from you! Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed your video Joie! You are a very honest person and I appreciate you! I'm going to try and add more painting to my journals and ephemera!
I think that sounds great Nancy....and thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️
I quite enjoy your channel.
Wow, thank you 💜🤓💜💜💜
ive been painting for 27 years ,its an awsome journey i thought i was advanced ,im still feeling like a beginner at times ,because i watch so many art videos every one has thier own spin ,i love your videos ,i filled 5 out of 12 spiral journals i got on amazon a few months ago .because i paint every day and learn every day it wont be long before all 12 will be full of watercolor art.iwant to do mixed media more ,thank you
Thanks so much Gina!!!🥰💜❤️
I love your style Joie. You were one of the first people on YT I watched getting into journals. I have adapted my own style after trying similar styles to others, but somehow I always come back to my own colours, techniques etc. You are definately an inspiration to me. Have a lovely weekend xxx
Thanks very much!!👍❤️🤓
The journals you make and the ephemera you make is so beautiful. And so you I just as you know love what you do. Sending you blessings and love hope to see you soon again
One day I'll be back Judie 💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@joiedefi I'm counting on it pulling for you everyday. I know it has been a really hard struggle that you are so amazing and I love you
@@joiedefi and I will jump for joy maybe maybe I will just do a little jig. Blessings and love
You really have inspired me over the last year since I found your RUclips channel.
Ooooh fantastic! Thanks very much for letting me know!🥰
Because of your honesty you are such an encouragement to all of us. As I've told you before I love your style and while I've been in watercolor artist for years you teach me things that are invaluable for my junk journals
You're lovely 🌹🌹🌹
I have journaled for quite a while, but am just now starting to play with watercolors, crayons and all sorts of colors in them and I am having fun with it all. This video came at just the right time, and I have enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome
Hello my sweet Love!!
You never cease to amaze me. I'm not a painter but I did buy a pallet of water colors to try to paint some pages. I'm a nervous wreck just thinking about it. How do you overcome that fear of messing up water colors?
Just do it for yourself, and take it slowly 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much.
I really enjoy your color sense! I find your work refreshing in this world of vintage neutrals. Keep it up!
I will!!👍❤️
Hello live. Ive so very badly missed you. Im so glad youre back. We are here for you!❤❤
I absolutely love you, your style, your imagination and talent! You uniqueness is what makes you YOU! ❤❤
Aww, thanks so much!!💜💜🤗🤗
I really loved the video you did on the altered book.
You're very welcome, your book sounds fantastic!👍❤️
Thank you so much Joie, l’m very much a beginner so have been searching through lots of ideas on you tube . However l felt like you were chatting with me and you have inspired me . Once again, thank you xx
You're very welcome!!❤️❤️
Hello Joie. Thank you pour votre gentillesse et votre générosité. 🍀
Merci beaucoup!!!❤️❤️
You're such a lovely lady! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!!! You're very inspiring!!!!💖💖💖
You're lovely too, and you're very welcome!!❤️👍💜
@@joiedefi ....thank you so very much!
Thanks very much for your amazing feedback!!💜💜
My daughter recently closed her gift wrapping business and she was left with tons of ribbon, wrapping paper etc. I suggested she watch your videos and use her unsold gift wrapping supplies to make your flowers etc.
Ooooh fantastic! Thanks very much for the recommendation!!👍💜🌹
Thank you for another wonderful video. I am comfortable using paints and experimenting but sometimes watching the work of others I too, wonder, why am I doing this? I think it's normal, especially for very talented women, to doubt themselves. You are incredibly talented and creative and your videos are relaxing to watch.
You're very kind
Rewatching this video inspired me to pull my paint out. Thank you
I think that one of the most difficult things when you’re first starting out is discovering your own style. I loved the houses that you painted here by the way. That is totally my style. I probably wouldn’t have known that a year or two ago, but I know it now. 😊
Thanks so much Pattie 💜💜
I love your style - and you are always an inspiration. But, you're right - always best to be YOURSELF !
Absolutely!!❤️
Your work is so beautiful. I dabble in watercolor. I'm no artist. But you are so encouraging. Thank you.
You're very welcome Diane ❤️
Love your channel. Great video. Even after a few years of junk journaling,I’m still finding my style so it helped me to hear we are ever evolving.
Josie. What great inspiration you are. All you do is great!
Thanks very much!!❤️
Hi joie:
Your journals are so vibrant and fun to look at. You really do inspire me to get my paints out. Thank you for that. 💜😎🇺🇸
You're very welcome Joanne 🥰

Thank you for being you. Love your style and how you create such simple things into something beautiful. Keep up the good work. Love watching your videos.
Thanks for the encouragement Karen, it means a lot to me!🥰💜
I was looking for some items and in a shoe box a lot of tags, journal cards and other things you had showed how to make and I had made some I'm ready to put some of them in a journal. Thank you again 💓❤yeah.
Absolutely love your work, your bits you add to your journal are so adorable and I have watched and tried to make them after watching because your so inspiring. Don't change, love love, love your work. Thank you
Aww, thanks so, so much!!💜💜
you are such an inspiration . thank you
This video is absolutely wonderful & helpful it helps me not to put any pressure on myself just make what I want and love 💕 it no matter what, I’m just realizing people I’ve shared my journals, who not crafter’s don’t really understand the process of making them thinks it’s to much work as I was told just tonight but it doesn’t discourage me it just helps me to become better and this is what you do every time I watch a new tutorial from you gives me inspiration. Love the watercolors ideals I’m sure to practice this soon. Thanks for sharing 🥳💕💕
You're very welcome 🥰🥰🥰
Joie, I don’t know how I missed this video, but you have given me some new ideas. I miss you so much and hope your health issues are resolving. Come back soon!
what a wonderful and much needed video - thank you Joie - this is the one thing that i find the hardest to do - but you have now given me the confidence to give this a try - i love to watch you paint - your creations are always so lovely - thank you and be well 🤗🤗 xx
You're very welcome sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️

Great video. I seldom think to get out my paints. Only when YOU DO!! thx for sharing your tips. Love the drawing book. We just need to START! TFS! Austin,TX USA
That's absolutely right, just start!!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing this encourging video. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your honesty! It seems to me that all creative crafters visit the same stops of valueing our styles and skills and finding our individual ways of creativity. I just love your style and creativity! Wishing you happy moments in your craftroom.
You too Sweetheart!!🥰👍
Thank you for all you have taught me your videos are the best
Thank you Sue
So lovely, Joie! Thank you for going through your own process. I too am on a journey to discover who I am as an artist, and what my own style is. I have been on this journey since 2010. I have seen so many artists do so many things, and yet, when all is said and done, it has brought about much confusion to me as an artist. Your style is so freeing and I love it. But still, I must find my own adaptation of it. I struggle to find who I am as an artist, but I know that I will eventually get there. Thanks for sharing this part of your life, and thanks for all the beautiful art you share with us. (hugs)
Such beautiful words, thanks for sharing this Lenella 💜💜🌿
Hi Lenella, perhaps you are never going to be a ‘particular style’ of artist. Perhaps your gift is the braveness to use many styles to create various pieces! An artist is a creator, are you creating? Keeping trying different mediums and embrace whatever makes you happy. Perhaps, like many of us, you are just eclectic in nature and so various things resonate with your soul. Take care and enjoy. Don’t limit yourself with a label! 😀🌻🦋🦓🦔
WOW!!!! Thank you for this inspiring video!!!
You're welcome Kimberly 😁
Hello Joie, enjoyed your sharing this very inspiring video. My style always changes and I love that, it never gets old for me, I am always finding something new to try. Your videos give me that too, try something new. TFS
Thanks very much Denise 🤓👍❤️❤️❤️
Joie, you have many talents! Really love this!
Thanks so much!💜
Your videos have inspired and energized me to "Give It A GO" as you often say. Thank you for sharing everything and taking the laborious time to do it. I hope to enjoy 4 more years!
Hooray!! Thanks very much!!🥰👍
What a wonderful journey to share
Thanks very much 🥰
This is such an informative post! I love your suggestions and tips! Especially the use of paint!! Let’s go mixed media! 🎉❤🎉
Totally love Creations Cece!! ❤💖❤️
Thankyou Joie, this was so useful. I'm terrified of paint. I've tried several times but it always comes out such a mess. You've given me confidence to try again
Fantastic!❤️
As always I find your videos so inspiring. Thank you.
Thanks so much!!💜
Very nice video ... thank you for sharing. It looks like you have "grown" and the only way to grow is by experimenting and learning from others. We definitely are inspired by your work.
Thanks very much, I think it's about experimenting and finding our own journey....
Wow!! This is so informative and I absolutely LUV all your ideas and tips!! This video is a wealth of information and provides beautiful examples of how easy collage art should be! I can’t wait to try some and start my own collage journal! Thank you so much! Please keep these coming!😊👍🏻
I'll do my best!!❤️🤓
you are a very amazing artist! I love your wonderful junk journals!😍😘
Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing your journey! I love your journals!
Thanks very much!!🤓🥰
Great video with how you add painting to your journals. Hadn't really thot to do that and look forward to start doing that myself.
Fantastic!!🤓👍💜
This is a wonderful video - I’m so happy to have discovered your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your journey!
You're very welcome!!❤️❤️❤️🤓👍🤗
I LOVED this video, Joie! This was full of great ideas and I think will help me get over my fears. Incidentally, I stumbled across and bought recently the same book, A Victorian Flower Album, by Henry Terry, at an antique store. My intention was to tear it up and use it in junk journals, but it is so lovely that I don't believe I can do it. I may just use it as a reference by which to try to paint watercolor wildflowers. Thanks for sharing the ideas, and more importantly your journey and how you've come into your own AMAZING, AWESOME artistic style!!
Hooray!!!! Thanks very much indeed!🌹🌿👍💜
