E-Bike Question of the Day ⚡🚴 How would a lightweight folding e-bike like the Air 20 make your daily commute easier? Let us know in the comments below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
For such a detailed review, I'm surpriesed there was no mention of fit. You should add a 5'-2" person, and a 6'-4" person riding the bike. To show if/how it fits short and tall riders...
This is an issue with most bike reviews. A lot of these ebikes are one size and as a guy that’s 6’3” I’m always wondering if I’m going to fit or worse, look goofy 😂. Anyway, when showing a person in the video it would be nice to know their size for comparison.
Word is this bike is easily rollable when in folded state, unlike most folders where the wheels don’t align or point the same direction. Was hoping you’d demonstrate this capability and whether it works well if walking short distances (e.g. on a commuter platform or through an office building), or perhaps wheels don’t stay aligned and directionality becomes squirrelly?
This is a great suggestion and we'll keep that in mind for future reviews! It did come together better than most. The optional magnet helps with that and you can cover short distances.
Does the international version ship with the throttle lever already attached or do you have to buy it seperately, as an accessory. Also, is there any indication on the motor that it is 250 watts or 350 watts for a policeman to check out. As well as this how does the walk assist mode work, is it with the throttle and can you omit the higher speed throttle use on the app, when you want and only have the 4 mph walk assist mode working on it's own, again to avoid police attention in Europe and UK ?
Website says not to take the battery out because it’s basically part of the strength of the frame. That makes me think it’s prone to flexing and if it cracks the battery that’s just no good.
I'd suggest reaching out to ADO through their email address for AU pricing: official@adoebike.com. But if you watched the review and you think it might be a good fit, it should work just fine!

In the UK, or anywhere with 'weather' (i.e. rain), mudguards (fenders) are a must. And if using e.g. for local shopping (who doesn't?), it really needs a rack. Why don't 'testers' include these, very, 'basic's'?
The mudguards included with this bike are not great. The rear one is not even close to stopping spray landing on the nack of your bum. If you want a proper coverage you have to purchase the seperate mudguard pack that will set you back about £80! Massive oversight ADO!
For such an expensive price why didn't I go for the Fiido X which has a magnesium alloy frame and has a password to prevent theft, and what are the advantages of the ado air 20?🤨
From what I understand the battery and motor on the fiido x is much better than the ado air 20 and will naturally weigh more. If the fiido also used aluminum then the whole bike would probably weigh even more, so a magnesium frame still makes sense.@@super.brunch
I noticed there is a new model called the PVY Libon which also has a carbon belt drive and torque sensor but has two batteries and a higher configuration. I'm wavering between these two models, Will you test PVY Libon?🤝
Thanks for the review. Not going 28 mph+ kills it for me. For city/suburban riding, you really need the speed to be safe keeping up with traffic or be quick enough to get out of the way of traffic on those long stretches of single lane roads with no breakdown lane to speak of (there are a lot more of those than people think).
Thanks for watching! That's fair to point out. A lot of people need an e-bike to keep up with traffic. Sometimes the smaller folders are better for shorter, sprints between a bus stop and the last mile or two to the office though. Different tools for different needs.
More like it's a bit more niche in use case. It won't have the same broad appeal, and we're trying to help explain those tradeoffs, but for what it is, it's a nifty bike. There aren't a ton of super light / portable folding e-bikes you can get your hands on in the US market despite their immense popularity in Europe. So it's refreshing to see some variety with the Air 20.
REAL OWNER here - DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE!!! it is soooooo cheap and nasty, honestly I bought a cheapo chinese ebike for £200 10 years ago and THAT was a better machine than this. Most reviewers of this bike are paid shills showing you a model example of the bike, the ones they sell are garbage, TRUST!

Really good review. I’ve been looking at this bike and this is the best review I’ve seen.
Thanks for watching!

Loving my ADO air 20, gave a good review .
Thanks! It's a solid bike, we're glad you're having fun with it!

well actually there is a speed unlock on the bike on the international version so it does go over 20 on throttle it goes around 30
Would it be possible to change out the handlebars to something more swept back to enable a more upright position ?
Definitely! There's actually a quick-release clamp at the top of the telescoping stem that would make that process a bit easier.
@@ElectricBikeReport great thank you!
Great review 👍
Thanks for watching!
Hello, my weight body is 98 kg. Can I ride this bike?
what's the range if you use only the throttle?
Unfortunately, we don't test throttle range, but based on its specs, we could estimate somewhere in the neighborhood of 16-20 miles.
do they deliver to Australia?
You said it was a 350w motor but then later you said it was a 250w motor wich was it?
The International Version (ours) has a 350W motor, the CE version has a 250W motor.

Apparently in the folded position you can roll it by using the unfolded handlebar. Power assisted too.
That's cool! Thanks for the heads up. We'd love to see more brands make that sort of thing possible.
I want to ask, has anyone tried to ride using only throttle? Which is the max speed? How many klms can range using only throttle?
This seems like a cheaper version of the carbo (both in price and components). Please review the carbo model s
Hi, I'm 80yo man from
Sydney. Where can I faind

You can buy a 2nd hand Brompton electric bike for approximately the same price, and have all rounder, great on hills, and longer distance commutes
There is also version with a suspension front fork.

Belt drive is the main one for me at least. Also, having a magnesium frame doesn’t mean much when it’s still heavier than the aluminum bike

I've seen reports that the PVY motor has been over heating on hills.
i am in love with this bike but i am waiting to sell the one i have to buy it

That's absolutely true; so why is the law 20mph max in the US?; and 15.5mph max in the UK (&EU)? and what is anyone doing about it?
Seems like too many negatives to earn an overall positive review….especially considering the $1400+ price tag.

Agree price and negatives don't add up

Are you having any specific problems with your bike?
Looks cool but fot 1000 euros you can buy a much much better ebike.
