Thanks for wearing a dark shirt with the yellow line. Makes it more visible than clear mono against a light tan tee. Great video and tutorial. well done!
I tried this a few years ago and it worked Great in Myrtle Beach!. Learned how to do it from a Paul Adams Vid. Now you have me wanting to make more of them!
Hey bro i am 55 yrs old i haven't fished in yrs and yrs. my 9yr old daughter and i went to a fishing derby in my town of Secaucus nj. well long story short we are ALL IN....LOL and your channel is my go too..you brought me up to speed on every topic LOVE your channel and i signed up on your website.................DO A SHOW FROM JERSEY.......MY DAUGHTERS JOURNEY AND MEADOW LOVE YOUR CHANNEL............THEY ARE 6 AND 9YRS if ever get a minute maybe you can give them a shout out....again thank YOU for re igniting my love for fishing. fyi again her second outing ever she caught a small trout.....
WOW! I'm adding this juicy video to my "fishing rigs" playlist. I'll be trying it out as soon as Galveston, TX clears up. Thanks and keep the videos coming!
And yes yes YES! I WOULD LOVE a pdf with all of your rig how toos. I learned a few basic ones from my dad as a kid, but I/we really want to branch out to jetty and surf fishing. (Mostly central coast of Oregon, Florence, Newport, Lincoln City, Depot Bay) Making my own would save money for sure..plus I always love how impressed my husband gets when I come up with another rig or method and place for fishing. We would go every day if we could, but really are lucky to get out 5 times a year. I absolutely LOVE your channel.
Hello mate. Greetings from England. I'm gonna try and make it. Then let you know how I get on. Thanks for your video, what I find with people explaining things is they waste their time no explaining the whole process from start to finish. Kind of so a kid could even do it. So thank you for being one of the first I have seen to explain it in depth and very clear :)
Helped me a lot, thanks so much, for an armature like myself I managed to tie this first time and it’s super effective! Defiantly find this instructive and easy to follow, be nice to see more
Like the simplistic, slow, detailed approach you have in this first video I've watched on your channel. Also scribed with thumbs up. Will look for more of you and your vids. Semper Fi, I'm not as mean, not as lean, but forever a Marine.
Sure like your videos. Making and tying rigs are alot of the fun of fishin and catchin. I Use your knots alot now. thanks, also your dads rigs are awsome
I've used this and similar. Sometimes with a straw cause it's super easy. Just a regular knot to tie the hook no wraps. Sometimes with some glow in the dark stuff and colorful threads for the night or day time. I usually used a dropper knot to connect to the leader. A buddy of mine used silicone to secure the threads to the hook. His idea was to make that hook as ugly as possible and it worked for him.
Very helpful maan...I was fishing thd other day ...I didn't have any bait and I'm new to fishing. So I didn't have much of a productive time. The sabiki I bought had gotten lost in the sea after I cast out. If I had known how to do this I may have used some label from trash bottles around 👀 to make something up.
We use these to catch mackerel, and pollock in the UK. We use feathers usually. When fishing breakwaters or piers we use worms: rag, black or lug on them, put them on the bottom with the tide going out so they hold up in the water, and they act as extra attractor. hope this helps.
You are hilaious! And Thnx for the tutorial. I make my own Sabiki Rigs with Shiny Gold No.6 hooks. As long as I keep those little shiny gold hooks jiggling and wiggling in these murky NYC & NJ Waters, the bait fish can't resist them. I catch baby snapper bluefish and live-line them and catch the Momma's and Poppa Bluefish. As long as they're alive, I've can catch Fluke with them as well.
Brendon, first I want to say that I have found your videos to be both entertaining and informative. There are dozens of different types of fishing videoed, I like your approach the best. Having said that, the Doritos rig I found most interesting. So I took a bag of potato chips, ate them first of course and tied the rig two days ago. So I have it in the trunk of my car. If weather prevails in my favor, I will try it out at dawn. I hope your knee is coming along and healing well.
I love these tutorials I'm just getting into salt water fishing and your channel is so helpful and is exposing me to things I've never thought of or even heard of before
Funny story is that i saw this setting and technique on a mcguyver episode when i was a kid, he used tinfoil on his.. was always thinking that it was bs, but u actually used it. Im amazed , lmao
I did this but even bigger with metallic ribbon silver & gold.. it was like .75 cents at Wally World. I used long shank 2 1/2 inch hooks.. then I used a 3-4 oz lead weight and cast this sabinky about 100-150 yards out... lift and crank lift and crank all the way back to the pier...great for getting macs/blues even a king but it wears out the forearms /shoulders/ and back..
hope your knee is recovering soon +Senko Skipper .just watched you other video on the $10 self setting rod haha. honestly on some days my back gets so tired from standing and surf fishing...wouldn't mind a set of wheels like yours myself lol
Hi Senko Skipper! I subscribed to your channel recently and I really want you to know that your videos are really helpful + entertaining. Since I'm new to fishing, I'm looking for a video showing different kind of knot or maybe a video showing different fishing accessories and how to use them (like the swivel). Show us how you set up your fishing rod from scratch! Again thank you for your time and passion.
+el tito thank you for taking time to watch our videos and comment. That's a great idea, and we will think about that when planning future videos. Where are you located and what are you fishing for?
Senko Skipper Yup! I got "hooked" into fishing after I caught an eel about 2 weeks ago. I'm located in Montreal/Canada and right now I'm trying to catch big fishes.
In Southern California pier fishing is pretty crappy so we depend on these rigs. We use chicken feathers, bucktail cotton. You can go to the dollar store and you have a shit ton of options. Although these will work. The feathers and cloth like materials that are free to move work better and seem to catch bigger fish
I am finding straight GOLD in your older videos brother.
I just found your site. Your sabiki tying is so much simpler to most others I have seen on youtube. Thanks for the simplicity.
It was very easy to tie this rig, now I can't wait to try it going fishing to Pensacola Beach FL in April.
Finally someone explaining fishing basics, such as actual tutorials on how tie up and set rigs. Very appreciated! U helping me allot!
There are a lot of Sabiki Rig videos and you have done a great job on this topic.
I caught 5 yellow perch and 3 northern pike with this rig in 30mins great vid/rig
Never heard of that technique lol but I like it
I know you...
I know u too……
@@siscodeeznuts9570 I know you too.... too...
WOW! I'm adding this juicy video to my "fishing rigs" playlist. I'll be trying it out as soon as Galveston, TX clears up. Thanks and keep the videos coming!
My sons and I just started fishing a couple months ago. You guys are a tremendous help. A PDF would be awesome. Thanks for all you do, keep it up.👍🏾

Excellent video and a great way to re-use some rubbish. We will test today and see how it works. Cheers
Absolutely there are so many knots and rigs, and some work really well for certain applications.
Hello mate. Greetings from England. I'm gonna try and make it. Then let you know how I get on. These rigs are helping! Im glad you have been finding a good way to make your downtime productive! I would love a pdf file
This thing works effectively, I caught 10 herrings with it easily within 10 mins. Thanks
A PDF would be AWESOME, and a video of you fishing with the rigs you've tied would be amazing right along with it.
Helped me a lot, thanks so much, for an armature like myself I managed to tie this first time and it’s super effective! Defiantly find this instructive and easy to follow, be nice to see more
Definitely gonna try it.... always want new things to try
Very good idea for the PDF. Enjoy your videos.
A PDF with setups and rigs will be awesome! Thanks for the tutorial
Yes senko skipper a rig PDF would be the biggest help!!
thanks... you made me fish again...hoping to catch this time..
I love it......I've even caught rock fish off smelt and herring size sabiki
Like the simplistic, slow, detailed approach you have in this first video I've watched on your channel. Also scribed with thumbs up. Will look for more of you and your vids. Semper Fi, I'm not as mean, not as lean, but forever a Marine.
I did it with ten hooks and no flys and it looks sick, thank you soooooo much!😀
Always learn something new or a better way of doing something. Love the knots and rigs vid. Thanks
you are really easy to follow, and even my little guys 10 and 15 likes to watch your podcast....by from Slovenia coast(not f....ing slovakia.)
Your video tutorials are very easy to follow, Thank you!!
good job :) i used the hook with a line leader that came with the hook __ then used an other line for the rap -- on the hook
Sure like your videos. Making and tying rigs are alot of the fun of fishin and catchin. I Use your knots alot now. thanks, also your dads rigs are awsome
Fantastic tutorial! I'm gonna try this and stick some pieces of chewed gulp scraps up under the fly body.
I've used this and similar. Sometimes with a straw cause it's super easy. Just a regular knot to tie the hook no wraps. I enjoyed the demo, making rigs and where you use them would very helpful.
Have a good day.

Great video guys, love from Indonesia
Just found this, making a quick Dorito run to the gas station to try it out right away, thank you for sharing.
Great video...I am definitely gonna do this instead of spending more money. Now we gotta see it in use.

Yes, Yes, Yes......the PDF that you just mentioned whould be very helpful .... for us newbies
Awesome, am making a few right now!
thanks.. happy fishing to all

The knee is doing great, armen. All healed up at this point! Let me know what you catch on that! Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏼
As always, another great vid by you two. Thanks guys!
Gotta try this. Don't forget, if going for herring (next month or so in the northeast) you need to use small hooks. Very small.
Very cool video... i will definitely try this rig.
Yeah man! Love those knots
I just made sabiki rig. will try tonight
thanks Brandon
Yay I was hoping for a video of this! Great video
+TheMasterCasters glad, I did it cuz you guys said it would be interesting:)
And it was!
Your video is so helpful, also a PDF is a great idea , thank you for these videos and keep it up :)
make a video fishing with it
The knot you used for attach to main line is a UNI knot
Another great tutorial. When you get better you gotta demo your product!
+Marc Merlot I will for sure! I am looking for places tomorrow
I caught a manta ray, spades, croakers and spots on a sabiki Sunday first time using one
A pdf would be great. I'm glad I thought of that. Just kidding, awesome idea. Keep up the great content.
I'm going to try it and I'll be posting a video of it works and tag you in on it.
Yes make the PDF! That would help a lot of people out.
i love following youer video. it helps a lot. pls make a video fishing in a stony shore using dead bait and minnow lures. thank you
It's awesome how even though you're injured you still make us videos, you're awesome bro keep up the hard work 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
+Captain Sperry of course. These videos are what keep us going! Glad you like it!
Growing up in Hawaii, I used pop tart wrappers. It may not be as durable as the bag but it adds motion to the rig
Also the knot attachments add a higher chance of breakage, Especially when using smaller line. I use another method for attaching the flies
+ophiocordycep that sounds like it would work better, it's got more flexibility
Senko Skipper great vids, keep it up! Would love to fish with you sometime
I am just starting out on fishing here in FL. I think I may have to give this one ago.
going to try fishing this right in waldport, or next month. I've tied one successful fly. cutting the bag into hearts seems to work VERY well.
(love auto correct... going to try fishing this rig...)
Nice video! Very helpful...keep uploading more tutorial videos!
I like this one! It works! Thanks!
Great idea and yes I'm interested on seen more rigs tutorials .Thanks
+tepic94 thanks for watching and letting me know. What kind of fishing do you do?

A PDF would be extremely helpful along with where and when to use them
I love your videos! Keep doing what you're doing!
+Fishing in Mv thank you🙏
Yes it is very helpful and easy to understand, thanks for sharing this idea...
Great vid love the simplicity definitely will try Big Al Michigan

Thnx mate it helps a lot for newbe like me.
Great video man!! Love the tutorials, by the way the knot you used to tie the sabiki hooks to the main leader is the double uni knot
thank you so much, i was gonna try and make my own but didn't know what materials to use. Bless you.
+Mantaris Lupis Loser bless you! Let me know if you try this out!
hi from uk i have done this rig many time when fishing north sea for cod pollack whighting and meny other fish in and around uk

hope your knee is recovering soon +Senko Skipper .just watched you other video on the $10 self setting rod haha. honestly on some days my back gets so tired from standing and surf fishing...wouldn't mind a set of wheels like yours myself lol
This is similar to the "mackerel" lures we use here on the NE coast of the UK. They catch most fish, mackerel, coalfish and pollack
Very helpful video thank you.
Yes I would like to see more rigs made and some of the areas to fish
I think we are going to do some more very soon!
Yeah it would be great
And HELL yes on the PDF !
Great vid..thank you from Canada
