Man you changed my life, thank you so much it woooorked wonders, even with just water !! :D I put pressure on the rollers, by pressing many pieces of paper and the fabrics, did that a few time and now it woooorks, I'm so happy ! Even a guy from a shop told me there was nothing to do but it was before coming across your video ! ;)
Thank you very much! I found in internet a printer for free because it didn't work. Using your method, I fixed it in one hour just using a little bit demineralized water. Now everything is working. Thanks again!
Facing the same problem myself (with a Canon Pixma MG5750), I had to find a "softer" solution. Here it is: simply unplug your printer, turn it on its back, so the underbelly is facing upwards. Slide the floor of the upside-down paper cartridge out to its full extent (as you would if you were inserting a stack of sheets of paper). This will reveal the first dual-roller unit that is failing to pull in paper. In this position, they can be rolled freely. Now, take a 15cm strip of sticky tape (known to some as Sellotape or Tesa-Film) and loop it around one of the rubber ribbed rollers with the sticky surface in contact with roller, holding the ends of the tape between the thumb and forefinger of each hand. Ensuring that the tape is seated flat against the rubber roller, proceed to gently and evenly draw the tape back and forth from one end to the other, rolling the roller as you go. You will notice the sticky tape plucking the dust and dirt from the roller. Repeat as often as necessary, but three times should be enough. Repeat on the other side. For good measure, lightly dip a fine, not too soft artist's paintbrush (5-8 mm wide) in some isopropyl alchohol cleaner and brush from side to side over the surface of the rubber rollers and through the ridges on them. Let the cleaner evaporate and you're done! Carefully flip the printer over, making sure various flaps and covers don't drop open. Reconnect the mains lead. Switch on. Place paper in the cartridge. Print as normal.
Thank you so very much & Happy New Year! I tried everything to clear rollers on MX432 printer that had stopped feeding paper. Nothing worked. I then followed your "last resort" with 600 grit sand paper & WOWSER! It worked. Have been printer multiple pages with no problems. Thanks for sharing!!
it's amazing to see how canon has had the same problem on printers for at least 10 years and not been able to fix it ! ..if i think about it i can't help myself to think it's done on purpose. the prob is not the roller not clean but a damn spring which doesn't has enough strenght to retain the roller in position.
That but also the pickup rollers replacement, as pickup rollers are a wear part and they eventually need to be cleaned or replaced, they have to be easily accessible and replaceable!
@@PaoloMarcelli you dont get it , it was everything but worn it was perfectly fine the prob was ( as usual ) the set-to-get almost loose after 2 years and half return spring . and ....the replacements ? you can forget bout them trust me. it's crystal clear that it was made on purpose

Worked like a charm. I ended up using a microfiber cloth with some water and that did the trick.

Thanks a lot this is working very good !!! Also work on Pixma MX435
Great, where do you buy Platenclene, I'm unable to find it in France. Is there any website selling it ? BR Henry
What kind of towel do you use?
Done also for Canon PIXMA MX520...THANKS!
Maybe try under settings, then maintenance, you may find a "roller cleaner routine"....less risky than sand paper, and towels etc.
It did not work.. only after it am watching the video
thank you
Help mi here the printer is not printing but the paper can go throw
