Just fyi guys, today the official Chinese New Year holiday starts (15th Jan) so orders from any sellers including ours will be delayed (unless I have the sets in physical stock in my office). Normal times resumes by the 30th of Jan.
Finally I'm back commenting on your videos! I was busy these last 2 months, spent 6 weeks on Japan for a teachers training program, I missed your good vibes, Scottie n_n This set is simple, yet beautiful. It's somehow the definition of "Wabi-Sabi". I like you can put minifigures in there. And that electric pole, wow! I loved especially the detail of the transformer being made of cogwheels. And I can't believe it stayed on place after the drop test! For real, pretty amazing set n_n See you soon!
That is a magnificent set , I love the design Cada is definitely wowing with the designs of their Japanese buildings. Does it attach to the Initial D tofu shop ? I am just amazed by this. it will go perfect in any brick city period. Definitely have to say Asia has some of the coolest looking brick sets available , You know that I wish we could get them in our neck of the woods.
Ayo, thanks for another review Scottie! Glad to hear your thoughts on these. Designing them is always a highlight in a year for me. These definitely weren't all planned from the start haha, I included the brick with technic holes from the start just to leave things open ended. Fortunately I could make more sets, but I had to figure them out one at a time. Though this lack of foresight could be a headache if I make bigger one because it might stick out too much on the front or back when placed with the rest haha. (But I'm definitely thinking about the next one!) The yellow 2x8 plate below the utility pole is actually a confused attempt to suggest a tactile pavement. XD Though I prefer not having any minifigures, the shot at 8:53 is giving me some second thoughts lol. (But then CaDA doesn't really do minifigures anyways unfortunately.)
Funny enough I prefer no figs as well but anyway when people order I’ll throw in a few randoms hahah. Thanks again for your design it’s brilliant. Speak soon and looking forward to more!!
Please say you are doing more designs or submitting the building instructions to rebrickable. They are amazing as we lived there for 15 years and miss everyday that we are there. Your sets help ease those feelings and bring back many memories.
I mirror assembled the coffee shop and put it on the right and the bun shop on the right of the teashop. I didn't want to hide the extension and other details of the coffee shop
First off, I think that would be a choking hazard to suck bricks, also is it possible to build something like this in Lego? And does it look good with official minifigures? I'm tempted to buy some instead of design and sort out parts to make my own. Please and thank you
I don't mind those that hate me to suck on some bricks. Hopefully it'll teach them a lesson. Lol Yes you could build this in lego, but there will be some subtle difference. The roof tiles will have to be different and there may be some special pieces that Lego doesn't make. I think you could probably get away with 80-90% of it in lego bricks. Should look just fine with official figs, if you need pics I can certainly snap some for you.
I hate lights lol. Dropping sets have been my thing lol. I've been doing almost 4 years already... There is a backstory, but in short I've dropped plenty of sets by mistake and some have surprised me of durability and it's happened a few times on camera..then it became a thing.

From all the alternative brick brands I've come across so far, Cada puts a lot of effort into the design of their sets, I especially like all the cars
I agree.
I like that power line transformer.
So good!
Man you got me into Cada Brick now..and i just bought the entire Japanese set... love it. thanks for the cool video... cheers
I'm so sorry to destroy your wallet lol. I hope you like the sets!
@@brickmeupscottie lol.. it hurts.. but i love these set, my kids loves the light affect!! Thanks buddy.
I LOVE the roof tiles! A lovely designed set!
Man, tiled ceilings, that's something!
Right? Needs more lol
Visited kyoto over the summer so when I saw these three sets, I immediately had to buy all of them because they look like the average kyoto street
I love Japan....I can finally fly back there soon. Enjoy the sets!
Very nice design, especially the pole and the sliding wall.

Good to see you back. Oh nice. you can always email Ida in Japanese for practice lol.
Exactly what I think too..simple yet beautiful.
I love the more muted colors and realistic design. The "official" modulars are great but they still exist in the minifig universe, if that makes sense
Your right it is toned down on the colors quite a bit. Nice for a change.
Nice to see the street grow

It doesn’t attach to the tofu shop unfortunately but I bet you could do it. Lol. Glad you like this. I’m looking forward to more in the future.
I love the detail of these. It would be cool if they were just a little bit bigger on a base plate. Happy New Year!
My exact thoughts too! Bigggaaaarrr
The yellow plate may be for blind accessibility (commonly seen in streets)
You’re right. He did mention it. We have that all over too…man sometimes I just have to open up my mind up a bit more hahaha

Top video and greetings from Switzerland.
Greetings and lovely channel too even though I can’t understand you but I hope your channel continue to grow and bring lots of happiness!
@@brickmeupscottie Thank you very much. Switzerland is a little country. But it will growing.
Plastic Sweat is an amazing drink!
Want some of mine?
Ive cutted out a piece transclear sticker from the sticker set to fix the Side of the vending machine. fits perfect and its nearly unvisible
Great!
I mirror assembled the coffee shop and put it on the right and the bun shop on the right of the teashop. I didn't want to hide the extension and other details of the coffee shop
Yea a few people have done that. Great idea!
Can you explain how you did this? I dont like how it hides them either.
@@dom8467 i don't know how to explain it properly but I just looked at the instructions and built it on the other side?
Hey scottie, is these things will looks good beside fujiwara tofu shop?
I'll be in the office tomorrow. I'll snap a pic and send a link here soon.
@@brickmeupscottie wow thanks scottie, you don't have to do that far tho lol
I like the set it looks like the house from Doraemon
Oh yea totally.
you review the orange shanghai house on the right corner
Ok let me work on it.
Maybe you can fit in a little Lego cat minifig
I should gift people animals with the sets if bought from my store...good idea! lol.
@@brickmeupscottie That would be very kind of you!
Hello scottie! Is that cada bricks compatible with lego sets?
Yes but the difference will be clutch and color may slightly differ.

honestly, im leaning towards cada more than lego for some of their display sets
Totally. Other brands are starting to get pretty good too.
Lol the lights were a little pain in the butt on the ceiling of the 2nd floor….also why drop it at the end xD hahaha

Cada suffers from the same problems as Lego, not enough or no toilets 🤣
Lol
日本語やら漢字の表記シールを使われてるみたいですね😂🤣🤔😗‼️
これらのブランドは言語をかなり混同する傾向があります。私の友達でも翻訳できないものもありますが、日本のテーマセットが大好きです。
