It's great that they've gone for closer to a mini figure style figure rather than their mini doll style. I'm glad this set is selling well. It's great you can still purchase the original. I still occasionally see Xingbao sets from 2017-18 available to buy from time to time.
Yea I'm glad they're attempting to revive this theme. Some older sets are still avail, but there are some that are no not in development anymore....shame.
Oh man! I have been waiting for this review. I literally stopped my build of this actual set, grabbed a pie and a bowl of icecream and settled in to watch the fun. I could see that the drop test was going to devastate the fruit shop. So many loose pieces in their beautifully constructed display shelves. Sugar cane in the corner, I think. They sell lengths in the fruit shops here in Oz, cut a bit off and chew the sweet pulp and after a while your teeth fall out and you eat the zucchini and banana. The details just totally make the set. That little electrical cabinet charmed me. Everything is so cleverly designed and laid out to give an impression of lived-in working chaos that is actually very ordered, just cramped. I haven't gotten to the stretchy rubber bands yet - you wrote a little warning about that. Maybe I'll rejig that to even out the tension. The pipes and cables going everywhere is just so Chinese. You could plop this down somewhere in Hong Kong or Shenzhen and it would be just right. I'm definitely going to be posing some of my Demon Slayer minifigs hanging out, playing Mah-jong, eating rice rolls, chilling on the balcony etc. Such a delightful set. Full of fun and surprises, right down to the little character sketches and backstory. I'll have to make a few more kind-of-same-flavour sets. I have the Cadabucks and Modern Cafe sets, plus some food stalls. Thanks for the review. You just bubble over with enthusiasm; it's like watching a fizzy fruit drinkin' the TV ads, make everyone smile. Peter
Awesome! Hope you like it at the end and once again thanks for your support and kind words. I’m almost done with the wekki one and it’s….I’ll save it for the video hahaha.
Hey I love this thing. Lots of great detail. The less repetition the better. None of those huge roofs with thousands of pieces that make you want to throw the thing across the room. And yes I remember your review four years ago. That's crazy it's been that long. I am glad you are still here.
HOOAH !!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME ADDITION TO ANY TOWN, WE ONLY NEED UNIT RT - 41 TO GO PATROL THE STREETS. VIVA DI RHKP !!!!!! ONCE AGAIN A EXCELLENT VIDEO BROHIEM.
Bruce! It's been a min. Hope you're good, always thinking of you when I'm doing the military sets. Haven't done too much though. Stay safe and thanks for dropping by!
OMG I just realized you must be the one that sent Bricksie that box that he opened and it said "Brick Me Up Scottie" on the side! So neat that having found you that I recalled that moment!
Really? Any link? I know a bunch of bigger youtubers def know who I am but stay anonymous for obvious reasons. Some have purchased from me, but with so many aliases and names I can't tell who is who lol. Glad you found my me and the channel, hopefully I stay entertaining lol.
A Beautiful Set and it will fit perfectly.in my little diorama with the fujiwara tofu store. The only thing i will Change ist the blue roof. Thank you for the cool Review
Hahah I actually have a lot of fans that have bought then stopped. It's like an end of an era. It's worse now that there are far too many sets to choose from compared to back then. Have to be more selective these days, or just don't buy. lol.
Thank you for showing the new Urban Village. 🤗 I bought the first one years ago and MODded it to a "Philippine" Version with a Jeepney in front of the street. 😁I think I will buy this one also and make some changes, that it will fit to the Philippines 😁 Greetings from Switzerland Buttermaker
I can never forget your user name lol. It reminds of either bad news bears or south park butters...then again there's the og butter which I need on my toast. Glad you like the look of this! Def an improvement and thank goodness it's not European.
Great review scottie (even two years later😅). Try to get a hold on the two xb sets! How do i recognize if its the serie 1 or 2 set when purchasing? Any news when the middle set, xb01038, will be released? Cheers!
Haha never too late! The sets should be the latest as far as the model goes, they do update or have in the past every couple of years, the manual may go through changes or minor pieces. These two should still be around. The third one you mentioned...has never or not yet been released. In fact, Xingbao has been dead slow...absolutely no updates. They've probably gone on to make MORK sets and URGE.
Not trying to make this a dick size competition, but if I have to be honest, I find your channel so much more fun and interactive than jang brinks. I have no idea how you're channel hasn't blown up yet.
I just finished shooting another one that’s similar to this called the 8090s house…kind of…check out my review of that. I just finished shooting the second version of it and it’s way better. Will release it soon.
I am really into this chinese Urban Village Sets. I still have the first one. Normally i don't like house this size but this set i keep. Nice Vid. PS: At Monday i bring a Bluebrixx Special and it is no car. ;-)
I actually love this build! I am a LEGO fan, and as such I drink the Kool-Aid, and I am completely brainwashed to official LEGO bricks because I love when companies put the word "OFFICIAL" in front of their logos! Anyways, I really do love this set! The way that it has a vey realistic feel to it, like I could walk down the street and see this building in person easily! That awning build is awesome! Now I am gonna go buy my "OFFICIAL" Lego bricks, and absolutely build this set for my Chinatown section of my Lego city (which more or less consist of Ninjago, and anything else LEGO tells me is "Asian" because I am american (yes i meant the lowercase "A", and it will still that way until america gets it's shit straight again one day! funny that google tells me I have spelled america wrong because it's not in caps = Illuminati Brainwashing maybe?) and know absolutely fuck all about the Chinese culture other than Chop Sticks, Fortune cookies, and ORANGE CHICKEN!) **BTW I am absolutely American, I jsut accept our overall silliness, and find if you can't make fun of yourself in life, than your taking it all way too seriously!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a total afol and brainwashing for the brand. I totally understand it, but the cool thing is there are many others on the same boat who just enjoy seeing my channel for the fresh idea stuff that isn't a knock off (although I get cussed out from time to time). A lot will get inspired by certain techniques you'd normally not see in a Lego build. I guess that's why I love it so much. I do buy a lot of legit Lego sets though and they actually have hooked me up before and always hold my sets for me hahah. Do go for it and just search china town sets in my channel, there's some badass ones like the Naruto noodle shop, which I don't even watch the anime, but the build is still top tier. I'm American too... *puts head on the floor* just kiddin, I miss my home town and maybe one day I'll have no choice but to move back stateside. Thanks for enjoying the humor and even watching!
Dope review but that little roof area with the tiny gates and the satellite looks janky…it doesn’t match the level of design for the rest of the modular. Great review Scotty 👍

Its amazing that even in Xingbao TV they still rebroadcast Xinwen Lianbo 新闻联播 like in real life

Great to see this series continue and evolve. I remember watching the old review many times
You deserve an award cause I can’t even watch myself hahah.
A Beautiful Set and it will fit perfectly.in my little diorama with the fujiwara tofu store. The only thing i will Change ist the blue roof. Thank you for the cool Review
You're very welcome. Two very good sets!
I loved the first one. Might have to get this..stopped buying a while ago, (ran out of room).

@@brickmeupscottie 🤣 Bad news Bears fit perfectly, that's why I have chosen it for my intro-music of my videos 😁
yesss. finally. i was waiting for this.
Me too!
@@brickmeupscottie Thank you for reviewing this. i really enjoy it.

Because its not "lego"
Probably this lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m black listed in a bunch of forums and chats.
I enjoy both. With I have a relaxing atmosphere, with Scott I have great comedy :3
Yeah it is better than Jang bricks
Soooo cool 😎

@@brickmeupscottie Very cool! Sorry for the late reply, I'm not very tech savvy. I'll check it out 😎
I hope my retailer in Germany lists this one in his online shop, I loved building the first one of the series.
Must be soon. I guess one advantage is being close to company and the factory lol but now there’s too many sets…I can keep up anymore.
Love the lived-in feel of this set.
Btw, I'm still 35, so no, it's not been four years...🙃
The upload date for the original says 4 years ago...unless you're a vampire...even more seriously, thanks for hanging around that long!

Ok look forward to it. Im a little behind but will watch your vids soon.
So much design skills have been learnt since the original which is very blocky
13:35 I think thats supposed to be sugar cane
Good to know, thank you!

america was never str8, built on genocide and slavery, and they still do it, only secretly and world wide.
Anyone tried setting this set next to Lego Modular buildings? Does it look good or it doesn't suit?
Which set would you like me to put it with? If I have it avail I’ll snap a pic for ya and post it here.
@@brickmeupscottie would be interesting to see it in between the bookshop and flat
Those aren't rubber bands, there O-Rings
O ... I see. Thanks.
wouldn't that be sugar cane in the corner? Since it is a food shop.
I love the black santa bags as trash. Very cool pipes.
Very cool Go (围棋) board
You’re probably right. I was so used to sugar cane being more white I just guessed bamboo lol.
Dope review but that little roof area with the tiny gates and the satellite looks janky…it doesn’t match the level of design for the rest of the modular. Great review Scotty 👍
Yea that was the only issue. If the bands were right I’d say it’d be really good. Glad you like the review!!
