Tysmmmmm I figured out what was wrong it was because I was using the DirectX 10/11/9 instead of the DirectX 9

After doing this my sims 4 won’t open. It says it can’t play the sims 4 with the video card in this system, but my sims 4 was working before I download G-Shade. I don’t know why it’s not working for me 😢

@@kloet02 I’m not sure if you fixed it or not, but I was able to fix it. I uninstalled gshade, then went into my Sims 4 bin file and deleted Default.ini (if you don’t see .ini then delete the one that says Default). It will tell you that the sims 4 need to be repaired. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling sims 4 (remove your files (tray, mods, and saves) if you’re gonna do that) but it didn’t work for me. After that I reinstalled gshade, but for API choose DirectX9 instead of the other one. I hope this works for you too, if you weren’t able to fix it.

It won’t let me play anymore it says “Unable to start : can’t run the sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed.”
Delete Gshade off your game, and choose “directx 9”
Just delete gshade, that’s what happened to me.
Delete the Gshade program and start over.

I’m having trouble getting it to work 😩😩 when I create the “presets” file under my “electronic arts” file and then go to configure it in gshade I can’t find the file for some reason. I’ve tried so many different things to get it to work and that’s literally the only step I can’t get past. Please help if you could!!
You should go to tools in gshade app then press convert. Then find the folder the click it then it will covert

@@Ax3is Nope it still won’t work, I just skipped that step, and it somehow still kind of works in my game. I say kind of bc I can still use gshade presets, but I don’t have the ability to adjust them. For example, the saturation or the intensity of certain filters within the presets. But if you don’t care to mess around with the presets it should work if you. Just make sure you download gshade presets, and not reshade presets.
Hi, love your channel you're doing a great job. I was just wondering since the malware incident on Gshade is it still safe to use? I have been putting off creating content for a while now due to the incident, Reshade does not work in windowed mode for me so I'm unable to take quality Screenshots for my thumbnails.

Are you sure you downloaded it properly?
Rewatch the video to see if you missed a step if not it could be your keyboard. The keyboard you have could make the two keys not work to open it.
i got to 14:14, and I went to go drop the backup preset file into the ghade-preset then custom, but I dont have either have those files. im not sure if it is just a me thing, but i have no idea what i did wrong. do i make those files or should they already be there? pls help thank u!

my sims on my homescreen doesnt have an 'open to file location'. What is the order of your file progression?
You will need to go in this order C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game

Would anyone be able to help me? Whenever I press Shift+ Backspace nothing shows up. Even when loading my game, I don't see the "shade has been installed" banner when loading my game. I'm trying to install Gshade to the Sims 4 on my external hard drive. Is there a different way to install it if it's not on your C: drive?
So this is getting me confused but it’s the same thing on both drives.my only solution is to restart the whole gshade process if that does not work tell me I’ll research it again

Make another folder on your desktop and put the converter to convert it then continue as you would if your folder was in documents

So, Go to This PC in File Explorer open your Cdrive. In the drive you're going to see some folders open the one that says USERS. In that folder make a new preset folder name it something different from the first one. Then go to the Gshade Control Pannel app, go to Tools when open. You will see Preset Converter, under it will be launch converter. Click it then you will see Your Local Disk (C:) click that scroll down till you see Users. Click it then you will see the folder you made. That will be your new Preset Converter Folder.

Mine doesn’t have preset backup???
It's Program Files\GShade\gshade-shaders . If you have uninstalled GShade, download the shader package here. You might also have a backup folder in %users%\Public\GShade Backups .
I have an issue, i did everything in the video step by step but once i got to the part where you get to the sim bin file, i cant find the file and i looked under program files under ea

for some reason whenever I start up the sims with gshade, the gshade keeps saying "force load all shaders" even when I have done it, it keeps saying that. I'm not sure why.

for some reason it doesn't say skip turtortial or any of that stuff, it just says loading and when I get out of it it says compiling (43 shaders left) does anyone know how to fix this??

question, what happens to your old sims 4 when you add it? i've lost my world and my cc is totally gone even though it's in the folder
So you go in your game and go to game options and turn of script mods and turn it back on and restart your game then your cc is supposed to show up(hope it helped) 😊

when i do the shift + backspace, the red screen thing just stays on a loading screen. ive tried restarting but nothing works
Try to open it when your game goes on the main start screen and when you open it go to the settings and change the keys to open it and close it. That may help if it does not tell me more and I’ll look further into it.

I tried this and now it will not allow me to open Sims 4. It says "Can’t run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system" I got scared and believed if I deleted Reshade and all that stuff it would fix it but it's still not working and I can't figure out how to fix it. I play on Windows 11 and use Steam to play Sims 4, do you possibly know how to fix this? I've been trying for hours and I'm freaking out, it's so stressful.

delete everything thing that has to do with gshade then restart your computer then you can try to redownload it that may help.And watch the whole video LOL 😂

To delete it go to control panel
Uninstall program
Find gshade software and delete it
Then go to your bin folder
Go to gshade-preset
Go to custom
And delete all your shaders

I have a problem, the first time I installed gshade as in the guide, it kicked me out of the game and the second time I did not see the gshade screen. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :/
Honestly delete the program and go into your bin folder and delete anything that has to do with the gshade installer.Then download it again but watch the video first then watch it again and do it.

Do you have any other graphic mods or any mods that don’t work with gshade.You should check that may be the problem if not I’ll look into it in their website and make a video or reply to your comment.
When you deleted gshade what did you do that you did not do again try to remember because it may be how your system is setup

No Sims 4 only works with DirectX9
I done some testing it doesn’t let direct 12 but if you have direct x 12 just select direct x 9 and it works exactly the same and you can play no problems!

I’m not sure how to do it but you can try doing the same step for steam if not I would suggest searching it up.

So go in the Gshade Control panel app then go to Tool after that go to launch converter and find your preset folder you made for your reshade to convert to a gshade. Then click it when you find it. I think after that you will see that was converted in a preset backup folder in your preset folder you made. Hope it helped 😊

It wont let me open my game because it's saying that I have a video card in my system and I don't know what to do about that
So first thing I will try is to delete everything that has to do with gshade like it’s files. Then download it again.If It does not work it may be your video card which I’ll tell you not to touch cause it can mess up ur device really badly. If it did not work please tell me so I can look into it more.
