Hi! So I finally installed reshade after wanting it forever by watching this vid and I was able to get it successfully!! Is there anything tips on what to do in terms of tweaking your game? I have the brown sugar by elania and I feel like it’s very dark with my sims shadows and bright sorry to bother you! I’m just new to reshade and need some help lol.
My only tip is just to play around with the settings to see what works for you!! I'm still learning how to make/edit presets in reshade so it definitely takes time!

Hi! I successfully installed ReShade, but I don't have a folder to put other presets in? And I can't find the preset I selected during the setup of Reshade, do you know why this could be happening?
Does the shader work first of all? I.e. have you waited enough for the bar at the top to say the reshader has been successfully installed? If so, you just enter the tutorial by pressing either home, or fn and home at the same time on your keyboard (some computers require just the home button while others require you to press both fn and home). Then when you go through the tutorial and change the settings, close the dialogue where it says to enter performance mode by clicking on Finish. Tick performance mode once you have changed the settings to fit whatever options you want enabled. Then press home/ fn and home to close the entire bar to play the Sims normally. It should have created a folder for your reshades.

If it’s your first time opening the game, it’ll say “press home to start the tutorial” and the home button is next to the page up and down keys!! Hope that helps 💜

It's very likely they are under the name "reshade addons and presets" instead! I have had gshade in my game as well so my folders have a different name. didn't realize until after I uploaded this!
So everything was going well but once I opened my game, the reshade was all black, and the game bars like where the pause button is at, are see-through. But I did everything step bt step so idk :(

I have a very important question. Is there a difference between gshade and reshade? I can't find the "gshade presets" file.
if yours says reshade, that’s probably it. i used to have gshade installed so mine might look different. i hope that helps!
