I installed this exactly as you did, but its not showing up in my game. Nothing happens when i press the home button either .. any idea what i maybe did wrong?
just figured out the solution for this. You have to go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete your GameVersion text file, then run the sims4 game in the bin folder: note that this only works for legitimate versions of the game, if you have a pirated one it wont work at all. good luck 🫡
Once I downloaded everything I tried opening sims 4 and it didn't work (issues with the graphic card apparently). I'm not kidding when I say I almost shat my pants thinking I just messed up the whole game and could never play again. So I literally sat in front of my pc for like 10 minutes before I realized the tutorial had also mentioned how to uninstall ReShade again. Followed the steps and I'm glad to say the issue with opening sims didn't last... the shock, however, probably will for a bit longer...
yeah and even when you're an experienced game modder, things can still randomly break even when you dont do anything different than you did the last time. Its just sort of a thing. Glad to hear you got your issue sorted out
For some reason I used to have reshade installed into the sims and I have been trying to uninstall and reinstall it due to it (I think)breaking after the recent update, but now even after uninstalling it and reinstalling and repairing my game as well as the ea app, its not working at all…I just get a white start screen after the intro has been loading forever, so weird :/
if your keyboard is too small it might not have it! best way for me was to use the windows on-screen keyboard (which you can find by just typing into the windows search bar) and use the home key on that!! :DDD
Between your letter keys and the num pad are keys like del, page down, page up, insert, end.... And home. It's often above your arrow keys. If your keyboard doesn't have those it might be an issue
i cannot press the home button bcs it just dragged me to my desktop... do u have any solution?? or like just how to delete in general bcs that pop up thing wont go away :(

I have a question. I see some people are able to turn the reshade on and off with a click while in game how do I do that.
You can assign preset groups a keybinding and toggle it on and off that way. Technically its always on, you just enable and disable sets of effects.

its generally next to the number pad. Above the arrow keys. Unless you're on laptop.

Removing the bot is as easy as running the installer again, but instead of selecting install you select remove.
there is a reshade.ini file located in th sims 4 bin folder you can change the keybinding there .
i don't have a home button on my laptop, what can i do?..
