I love the backup blanky!!! My son went blanky-free from agrs 4-8, but he discovered a supersoft new blanket that i had draped on the arm of the couch & i never did get to use it lol! It was a pretty costly wool LL bean blanket that I was planning to use that winter, but we decided a well made wool luvvy would last him decades and made good sense as a security blanket for an older kid. he even now will wrap himself in it and cocoon, he loves that no one suspects a sage green LL bean blanket is a "blanky."

When I was 12, the dog we'd had since I was born died and I buried my first blankie with him; I got a new one (satin on one side & fleecy on the other), and have slept with it every.single.night since then. I'm almost 29. Brought it to college, even a stereotypical wild college spring break trip. It's literally coming apart at the seams, so I'm going to learn how to sew this year! She even made me a ring pillow for my future wedding, since she knew she wouldn't be there. It yellowed a bit over the decades, but i did use it and it was so beautiful to have my grandma there with me. Handcrafts connect the generations of my family, among the men and women, but im pretty bad at all of them, so I'm the cook & teach my son how to make his favorite foods.

hi julia :) i always love your recommendations. i recently realized im cool toned, not warm toned at all. the problem is is that most makeup companies 9/10 come out with very warm toned products. not sure if this interests you but could you make a video highlighting your favorite cool toned makeup products? my biggest problem is finding good blush and lip products. vv sad 😭
