I live about 45 minutes from syracuse ny which is why i clicked you're video. I've never seen anyone on youtube put up videos like this from syracuse ny. Awesome!! You have a really calming voice and i like that you take constructive criticism from other commenters with a grain of salt. Good haul, thanks so much for sharing this! Like someone else mentioned, a blast from my past too. ❤
Thank you for these kind words!! I'm so glad you stumbled onto my channel, and that you loved the video and the haul!! I love sharing this kind of content and hope to post lots more in the future :)
it's so funny to see you finding 'vintage pieces' in the Thrifty Shopper...where I dump all my clothes I no longer want/need lol! What constitutes vintage is definitely an a spectrum according to your age...so much of what you picked up definitely would never be allowed back in my wardrobe ever again! 😂😂😂
I totally get it- vintage style is definitely not something that everyone is looking for! But anything over 15 years old (which includes items from the 90s and early 2000s) is considered vintage, and a lot of people are on the hunt for it!! :)
I have some places to suggest if you don’t already know about them they aren’t open 7 days like the Thriftys but their prices are better and the quality is great. St. Matthews church has one in East Syracuse on Manlius St where Family Dollar used to be only open Monday 10 or 10:30 to 12:30 very cozy isles but worth it when you find what you like , I bought 6 CDs and 4 pairs of nice mens shorts for $6 recently ( the shorts were 1/2 price normally $2) . Cradle and Beyond in the North Syracuse /Cicero area Tues 4-7 Wed, Thurs, Sat 10-2 on Route 11 just north of Bear Rd going north or before it going south shares a corner with a Dunkin drive thru . Prices low quality great they donate their rejects to the Thrifty . They have $5 fill a bucket sales often ( anything but jewelry) they also have a food pantry where you can grab food if you like ( St Matts does too) . Lastly Canastota Thrift ( formerly Bridgeport Flea) this one you probably want the Thru-way off exit 34 right on the main strip Peterboro St nice guy named Larry runs it . I believe they are open Thurs -Sun not sure the exact hours only been out a couple times since he relocated good prices also will tell you how much it is at cash out . He does have clothes too not exactly sure how the women’s clothes are I’m normally looking for music there but he does have lots of cool household stuff. Happy thrifting maybe I’ll see you out there.
Wow I just saw this- I'm so appreciative of you sharing these spots! I will definitely have to check these out on my next trip down there! I'm so excited to have a few new places to check out, they all sound great and super fun! Thank you so much again :)
The reason I watched your upload was because you mentioned Syracuse NY. I grew up there, and went to ESM High. Then I moved to Albany NY, so I'm very familiar with fast city driving. Guess where I live now? A small town in Upstate NY on the St. Lawrence River, and I hate city driving! LOVE Maine, by the way. Thanks for a little blast from my past!
I am so jealous of all the great things yoy find in your trips! I would like to see you do a video on any care tips & mending on your vintage clothes. I lluke all your videos!
I'm so glad you enjoy all of my videos! Thanks so much for watching :) I will definitely think about doing a care & mending video, that's a great idea, thank you for the recommendation!
I just randomly came across this video! Next time you are planning a trip to Syracuse I’d be happy to recommend some hidden thrifting gems. Though that first thrifty shopper in your video is usually great. And the goodwill around the corner from there is the better of the two in the area.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and seeing all of my finds! I loved making this one, I hope to do more thrifting in Syracuse soon, it's such a nice area and I really enjoy visiting :)
Great pieces 🥰 I’m a reseller too and I want to venture into vintage. I’d love to see a “what sold” video to get an idea of what to pick up. Just an idea🫶🏾
Thank you for the suggestion! I have been thinking about doing one, and it is great to know that there is some interest in that! Keep on the look out for a what-sold video in the future :) Thanks so much for watching
Which stores did you visit here? I couldn’t tell which locations. Might be good to include that when you shop here again. Loved seeing all your finds 🎉
First time watching you. I love your picks. You look darling and your figure is amazing. Makes me wish thrifting was in when I was younger. We struggled to have nice clothes and I didn’t know of thrift shops or it just wasn’t done that much. It is so smart to reuse.
Thank you for your sweet words! And I'm so glad you love my finds, I really enjoy the hunt! Thrifting is definitely growing in popularity right now, and I agree, it's so great to be sustainable and reuse! Very grateful for the thrift stores, and their stock of good vintage for my business :)
Wait a second!!!!! What kind of bagel was that and what was on it?!?!? How do you take your coffee? Like I need these details, it was completely glossed over.
I live in Syracuse and recognized all the stores you showed. Is it bad that I’m watching the haul portion to see if anything you bought used to be mine?!!? 😮😂
That's a good recommendation! I felt like during our trip I didn't have enough time to do the hour and 20 min drive there and back in one day, but maybe i'll make time for that next time. The bins is definitely a great place to source!
I am a reseller and live in Syracuse. If you would like to meet up sometime when you are in town, I would love that. I don't do Thrift Stores a ton, I mostly do estate sales, but I would do it just to get together with another reseller.
I'm watching your video for the first time and although I enjoyed it, it is very distracting to hear the music when you are talking. Not my favorite music but I guess it's ok when you are just video taping (and not talking) but really difficult to try and hear you talk with the music going on at the same time. Can you please try to not be playing that background music when you are talking? Thank you.
Thanks for the advice! I tried to lower the music volume during the talking bits to help with that, but I can always lower it more! I'm also still getting used to talking out loud to myself in public spaces, so my voice is pretty low on those parts. But hopefully that will get better with time! And yes the music choices are not my favorite either but RUclips doesn't have many options, and I'm not quite ready to pay for copyrighted music, so I'm sticking with RUclips's music for now! 👍
The purple felt circle skirt looks as if it might be a hand sewn costume piece. Just a tip, please do a video on starting your own second hand boutique shop business. You'll definitely get more views. 🎀🩷🎀
I am in Liverpool Ny just seeing this now !!

Cool! I love the area. And thank you so much for watching! :)
Great job! Thrifting can be hard work and then cleaning processing and listing. You deserve all your success!
Thank you so much! This is so true, and I really appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching :)
The wide leg pants would look awesome with boots
Nice to see you inside the stores filming more! Those are some giant thrift stores lol
Thank you! And yes haha they are huge compared to what we can get up in Maine!
Which stores did you visit here? I couldn’t tell which locations. Might be good to include that when you shop here again. Loved seeing all your finds 🎉
Mainly Thrifty Shoppers! There are a ton of different locations around Syracuse. Thanks so much for watching! :)
First time watching you. I love your picks. You look darling and your figure is amazing. Makes me wish thrifting was in when I was younger. We struggled to have nice clothes and I didn’t know of thrift shops or it just wasn’t done that much. It is so smart to reuse.
