Vintage Clothing Haul To Sell Online & At Vintage Markets | Full Time Vintage Clothing Seller
Hey friends! We are back with a good old thrift haul :) This time around we are doing things a bit differently, and instead of pulling things out of the bag straight from the thrift, we are doing it rack style with items freshly laundered and ready to be sold!
In my last video we visited a few thrift stores near Rangeley Maine, and in this video I went back to those same stores with my boyfriend, and found even more!! It just goes to show, there is always plenty of vintage to go around.

I have some places to suggest if you don’t already know about them they aren’t open 7 days like the Thriftys but their prices are better and the quality is great. St. Matthews church has one in East Syracuse on Manlius St where Family Dollar used to be only open Monday 10 or 10:30 to 12:30 very cozy isles but worth it when you find what you like , I bought 6 CDs and 4 pairs of nice mens shorts for $6 recently ( the shorts were 1/2 price normally $2) . Cradle and Beyond in the North Syracuse /Cicero area Tues 4-7 Wed, Thurs, Sat 10-2 on Route 11 just north of Bear Rd going north or before it going south shares a corner with a Dunkin drive thru . Prices low quality great they donate their rejects to the Thrifty . They have $5 fill a bucket sales often ( anything but jewelry) they also have a food pantry where you can grab food if you like ( St Matts does too) . Lastly Canastota Thrift ( formerly Bridgeport Flea) this one you probably want the Thru-way off exit 34 right on the main strip Peterboro St nice guy named Larry runs it . I believe they are open Thurs -Sun not sure the exact hours only been out a couple times since he relocated good prices also will tell you how much it is at cash out . He does have clothes too not exactly sure how the women’s clothes are I’m normally looking for music there but he does have lots of cool household stuff. Happy thrifting maybe I’ll see you out there.

it's so funny to see you finding 'vintage pieces' in the Thrifty Shopper...where I dump all my clothes I no longer want/need lol! What constitutes vintage is definitely an a spectrum according to your age...so much of what you picked up definitely would never be allowed back in my wardrobe ever again! 😂😂😂
I totally get it- vintage style is definitely not something that everyone is looking for! But anything over 15 years old (which includes items from the 90s and early 2000s) is considered vintage, and a lot of people are on the hunt for it!! :)

The reason I watched your upload was because you mentioned Syracuse NY. I grew up there, and went to ESM High. Then I moved to Albany NY, so I'm very familiar with fast city driving. How else did you set up your attic to accommodate your customers since you mentioned you sell in person?
So I usually sell in person at markets (in a vendor spot with racks, a table and sometimes a dressing room set-up) as opposed to in the studio space! But if I do have people visiting the studio space, I typically just tidy things up and make sure the space is easy to navigate, as it is pretty full at this point haha! I try to make sure there is a tidy and private area (like the upstairs bathroom for example) for someone to try something on if they want! On the topic of free shipping - I've only been selling for a very short while (started the beginning of February 2024) and I've been looking into the pros and cons myself. It really seems to go either way. One pro I heard for having the buyer pay the shipping is that they see a lower price up front and that can get you the click. And a pro of free shipping is that the buyer can sort/search for free shipping as a filter. I've made sales by doing it both ways, so it seems hard to tell!
I couldn't agree more! And those are both great pros for both sides!! Really seems like it evens out in the end, so it's really about choosing what is easiest/makes the most sense for you as the seller. For example, I think part of the reason why I do free shipping is because I just don't feel like weighing and deciding on a shipping cost for an item before listing it haha!! And that is so great that you have recently started selling, I hope it is going well for you so far and best of luck as you continue! :)

Fun Haul! QR codes were introduced in '94. That Polo Ralph tag is their older one from the 90s.
Thank you!! And yes it has me a bit confused because the brand tag looks older to me as well, but the QR code has an i-phone symbol next to it, definitely a phone from the 2020's, so I don't know what is going on there haha!

Hello, and thanks so much for watching! There are a ton of vintage clothing vendors throughout this market, some fields/shows have more clothing than others, so I recommend walking around and going to as many different fields as you can to have the best chance of finding what you are looking for! For the most clothing options, I would recommend definitely coming to the Mahogany Ridge show, which is open the full 6 days. There is something called the Vintage Fashion Tent in the Mahogany Ridge show, the entrance is right by the main road and easy to find. In May I will be selling in a tent directly infront of the fashion tent, right on the road! Would love to see you there if you decide to make the trip!
