Oh my gosh, hearing how you and Kat ran into each other, gives me goosebumps - how cool! What a coincidence and the timing that you were both there at the same time.
It was SO unreal!! What are the odds that we are in the same place at the same time. And I literally went to Atlas right from the airport via the subway lol
I hope you are doing well and thanks for watching!! I want to grow the channel more but it's so difficult to get there. I don't know how other people do it.
Thank you for joining me! I couldn't believe how many different brands they carry. Also I went straight there from the airport which is so on brand for me LOL
I already have a folder for my Travelers notebook, but I am also eyeing up the 2025 folder - because cat! 😸Thanks for sharing clips of your visit to Atlas, I loved seeing all the pencil cases! Your new planner reminds me of some Moleskine Evernote notebooks I had a long time ago they had little stickers that you could stick to pages. When you scanned them, I think you could create an index to your physical notebook within the Evernote app. Maybe scan the pages too? Pretty cool!
Something about the Lett's of London planner stood out to me, telling me to try it, even though I don't have experience with using a digital planner, and always prefer analog! I think it was because it reminded me of the planners I used to buy in Europe. I will assume the paper quality isn't the best but I'll need to make a more detailed video to test it out! I couldn't believe how many brands Atlas carries! I definitely want to go back. Thanks for watching!
Hey this was great to watch. Thanks for the best birthday gift ever by meeting you. So glad you were able to visit Chicago during the goid weather month. I got the folder too. Along with the stickers. Are you going to the Chicago stationery fest in March? Twins bags but mine is the bigger one 😊 You just inspired me to start posting videos again. Hope to get a few up during the winter break.
It was unreal!!! And I still get happy with I think about it. It was a nice reminder of what we do all this RUclips stuff. I would LOVE to go to Stationery Fest, since it's over my spring break, BUT I am supposed to go to Philly the 27th-29th for a conference and to visit my family, so two back-to-back trips would probably be too much...I should think about it tough!
Love that you got to meet Kat in person. Just goes to show what showing up , in whatever ways we can- community will be there. 🖤 I’ve bought from Atlas but never been, on a couple solo trips i never quite made it there so glad to have went there through your video. I’m using a field note in my TN passport ! with another notebook or two (first time fielder too) I also want just the large 2025 TN clear folder - the cat is the selling point. Thanks for sharing as always!!
It was definitely a surreal experience to get to run into somebody like that! What did you purchase from Atlas? They had SO many fountain pen inks that I was too overwhelmed to buy any of them lol, maybe I'll do an online order when I'm ready. Ooo I never thought about being able to use a field notes in a passport TN! Thanks for joining me!
This year I just got some staples for my TN. Passport Binder to archive my inserts, some more connecting bands, the 2025 sticker set and the weekly insert! This year my passport is going to be a commonplace/media log. the field notes is grid- commonplacing , the weekly will be for all my media: books, movies, music etc little thoughts and a sketchbook insert to doodle or draw. I moved out of the passport in late 2023 and adopted the hobonichi weeks system and love it. I wanted to get back into it for more relaxed reflection- more personal (the weeks is my workhorse) that will be fun to look back on. The fields is a bit big but i don’t mind overhang because my passport is packed haha. Ahhh i can only imagine!! On top of wanting to use all my supplies i already have- i would like to buy my first fountain pen and ink in person to get a real feel for the look and feel in real life. I would definitely be happily overloaded inside Atlas- one day i plan on making the pilgrimage there. The staff friendliness even translates into mail orders!
That's a good idea! I will make a video with more detail. I was really tempted to get the "Medium" size, but looking at it - it felt too big already, and I was afraid I wouldn't be willing to carry around in my bag - which is why I went with the smaller one. Thanks for watching!
I'm so excited that you got the Delfonics bag! We're twinning on the yellow but I have the medium. I love the medium because it holds A5 notebooks and my lochby pen case at the same time
I really wanted to get the medium, especially because it was only. $5 more and that's how my brain works lol. But I was thinking about putting all my things into my work bag to go to campus (I have to lug around so much stuff while walking far and it's exhausting), and I just knew if I had the medium I wouldn't bring it with me. I really had a hard time selecting a color though!!
@ that’s totally understandable! I have a couple other colors in my cart at the moment so I can switch out which one I use based on my outfit 💀 I absolutely love how much stuff I can fit in them
Thank you for sharing this, Greg. If I ever go to Chicago, I must stop by Atlas Stationery. The next time I go to Washington, D.C., I will definitely stop at Fahrney's Pens.
Thanks for coming along! I used to live in D.C. - if you do go there, even though I didn't have the best personal experience with them - Penny Post in Old Town Alexandria, VA (about a 15 minute ride from D.C.) has a wonderfully curated selection of stationery and Japanese stationery products. I just never had a nice experience with their customer service and I've talked about it in one of my videos.
I was intrigued by Field Notes for a while but I am a HUGE hobonichi fan and when they came out with the little accessory memo pads, I started using those and I love them. I especially love that the A6 size which is what I use inside my A6 Techo has perforated pages. Still I do enjoy some of the thicker standard papers like Leuchtturm and I wanted to try a pocket LT or a Field Notes. I wonder how the paper in Field Notes compares to Hobo and LT
I've been wanting to try Field Notes for a few years now - I'm so used to Japanese paper that I tend to be very disappointed with American paper so maybe that's why I've waited so long! Did the Hobonichi little notebooks' paper change when they changed the techo papers? I try to follow that but sometimes get confused lol. I need to make a video testing out the Field Notes!
@@stationery.shenanigans They did changed the memo books to the Tomoe River S paper recently but I really prefer the new S paper actually b/c my gel pens dry so much faster and I can actually highlight :) but I don't seem to have some of the issues that people talked about. My fountain pens also work just as well as ever on the Tomoe River S Paper. I am actually thrilled with the change, because I used to have to use JetSteam in my Techo and now I can use Energel and the like
@@tompov227 that's great! I didn't get any Hobonichi items for 2024, and regretted it for awhile...and now I'm thinking I won't get anything for 2025...but will probably also regret it 😂
Oh my gosh, hearing how you and Kat ran into each other, gives me goosebumps - how cool! What a coincidence and the timing that you were both there at the same time.
Katie It was. I just knew it was him when I heard his voice. Best birthday present ever.
It was SO unreal!! What are the odds that we are in the same place at the same time. And I literally went to Atlas right from the airport via the subway lol
I definitely want to go to Atlas Stationers ! This store is a stationery dream come true ! Thanks 4 sharing.
It was so worth it! I went right from the airport lmao. I'm surprised how many brands they carry! And the people working there were so nice.
Omg I think it’s so lovely you met Kat at the store. Wow, when online and real life collide! Stationery community cool ❤
It was. Best feeling to meet someone from this community.
It was a nice reminder of how important this community is!
I love to see how your channel is growing ❤ so awesome to see the different things that you are using and expanding to. Happy for you Greg.
I hope you are doing well and thanks for watching!! I want to grow the channel more but it's so difficult to get there. I don't know how other people do it.
@stationery.shenanigans your doing great 👍
What a beautiful store!!!! Thanks for taking us with you.
Thank you for joining me! I couldn't believe how many different brands they carry. Also I went straight there from the airport which is so on brand for me LOL
@stationery.shenanigans that store is amazing, the variety, the pens, journals, so well stocked. It's like a dream for me.. So glad you made it 🥰
that shop looks like heaven lol
I couldn't believe the variety of brands they carry! I don't think I've been to a store that has ALL of those brands under one roof.
@@stationery.shenanigans that was my thought too lmao
Oh gosh, Greg! That gave happy feelings on a cold day.
What are the chances???
@stationery.shenanigans I'm happy for you
Ooo, that's awesome you went to the Atlas Stationers Store! It's so surreal to be in there!!! :) Nice fun little haul from your visit there! :)
For some reason I hadn't anticipated that they would have so many different brands! The ink selection was too overwhelming lol.

Been eyeing the Delfonics for years, too 😂
The quality feels a lot more nicer in person, I think that was something I was worried about. Maybe this is your sign!!
@stationery.shenanigans hahaha I wish! I am stuck in Minsk, can't get anything here. I will enjoy watching you use it until I can get one :)
@@unchartedwaterss Ugh I'm sorry you can't get them! I lived in Moscow for 4 years and was supposed to go to Minsk for work but it never worked out.
Fabulous haul and great to see inside Atlas stationers and hear your experience.

oh wow that Letts of London weekly looks interesting!
I have never seen them before so I was really intrigued. Maybe I should make a more detailed video about it.

Dollar tree.the best!!!
I always walk down the stationery aisle when in Dollar Tree because you never know what might appear LOL
lol it’s funny because I didn’t get that TRC file folder because I didn’t really like the cat 😅
And what's also funny is that I don't have a cat and never have LOL
@ just pure admiration from afar 🤣
Omg someone else that loves stationery and lives in Knoxville
DELFONICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been saying I want to try both Delfonics and Field Notes for ages!!! lol
