So apparently I watched the international trailer and there's a whole other one that had a different opening before Miles and Gwen start interacting. After that it's pretty much the same. And I kind of like the international trailer better.
theres a scene in the middle of what looks like Spider Gwens bedroom and she has a trans flag over her door that says "protect trans kids" on it. awesome
@Maddy the Chaos Queen yeah its totally there, they have a filter on her in that shot, so you can't fully notice the trans flag colors. But it's there and the far right is already screeching woke about it. Jeez as the day go I'm starting to see the right wing yelling woke as a mark of quality lol
Did two trailers air??? This is really different to the one I saw. Mine had the scenes with the Spot, Miles' parents, and didn't have the live action things in the beginning
Not the version of the trailer I've seen. The one I've seen has a scene with Miles confronting The Spot at the beginning, plus some pretty funny scenes with Miles' parents.
This was the international trailer, and if you haven't yet be sure to check out the domestic trailer. I'm not sure it is different enough to be worth its own video, but it has several extra scenes which show Miles interacting with his family.
Mini pedantic rant: People have been describing all of the Spider-Man movies as MCU movies now because of this and No Way Home, but I don't think that's entirely accurate. It's more like, there's a Spider-Man cinematic universe and there's an MCU, and the two have a bit of intersection.
I thought the Spot was going to be the villain but in the other trailer he looks more like the comic relief or possibly a victim of his own powers who also somehow endangers the multiverse.
Pausing the video about 2/3 through to say I watched a video essay from "Wisecrack," earlier today all about the Trolley Problem, and how Philippa Foot came up with it as a way to *satirize* treating ethical choices like a thought experiment.
Did you catch the reference in “Doctor Strange and the little nerd from Earth-199999”? That is the MCU’s designation whenever they’re NOT pretending it’s an Earth-616 adaptation; probably tickled a few people that don’t entirely love that adaptation of Peter, plus the crowd that includes our poster girl Iman Vellani (who calls out Feige regularly for the designation nonsense…) I know little about Miguel O’Hara, so I’ll trust that you’re going to call out if they’re mischaracterising him… As for whether or not there’s a proper villain, note that this and “Beyond the Spider-Verse” were made together in the vein of BTTF 2 & 3 and POTC DMC/ATW were; we don’t know how linked ATSV and BTSV will be but there’s definitely a bigger plan to it.
Best guess: something about interacting with The Spot puts Miles in a position where he saves his dad’s life but his dad was “supposed” to die because every Spider Person needs a tragic death to avenge. Small aside: I would argue that the death of Miles’ Uncle in the first movie is that death but I guess not? Unless he somehow undoes that death instead. In either case this threatens the very fabric of the Spider-Verse and 2099 and the rest try to force Miles to sacrifice his loved one for the “greater good”. If there’s a larger scope villain at work I don’t know who it could be.
Love that geode! Probably dating myself here, but your remarks about some _Who_ not having villains reminds me of _Space: 1999._ For the (much better) first season especially, the fact that the characters were on a runaway moon with all the dangers of space travel made it dangerous enough. Then when it got retooled for the dumbed-down second season they relied upon simpler good guys versus bad guys conflicts.
Given the conflict they’re establishing with these trailers, I’m very sure papa Morales ain’t surviving this movie, given the comics. I would love to see Miles get that successful third option, but also, this is Act 2 and second acts rarely end with a happy end for everyone…
🔥🔥🔥 That was a fantastic trailer, I loved the jokes and references and it seems like a very interesting premise! I can't wait for the film, it's gonna be amazing! 🕷️
can we all acknowledge though how horrible the mother this version of Spider-Woman is. mother to be I should say. I mean 5 seconds of web swing automatically killed the child. One punch one kick to the gut . swinging into a bus dead. it'd be like if a cop strapped to baby his or hers back And then took said baby to a active shooting. The movie does loos fun. enjoyed the first one though I still hate the animation style cuz it gives me a nauseous migraine. But I will still check it out even if I have to watch it with one eye or through my hands.
I loved this trailer, and the domestic one that dropped too, and cannot wait to see this. Though I can tell from the style that I'm going to need to see it in a regular theater, and not have snacks. It's gorgeous visually, but the red/blue pesudo-3D made me sick when I saw Into the Spider-Verse at the Alamo (dinner theater, if you don't have one). I'm going to be more careful this time. But gods, this trailer was gorgeous and wonderful, and I am so hyped for this movie!

awesome
It's so quick, but in a shot of Gwen in her room, she has a Protect Trans Kids sign above her door and I love that so much
WHAT I NEVER NOTICED THAT

The one Vera looked at is the international trailer, the version you saw is the US trailer

Peter Parker is a Dad! Finally! Woo-hoo!
This is the international version of the trailer

I watched a different version of the trailer, but this one definitely captured everything that has me excited to see the movie!

I'm so happy to see Mayday there even if it's baby Mayday, which is adorable btw.

Jay Jonah Jameson he is the villain in all universes. 😂😂
The trailer I saw had the Spot and Miles' parents in it a lot as well...
roflmao! They did the meme!
I want to watch it now please this film is going to be mind blowing.
One Spiderman I would like to see in a future Spider-verse movie is Old Man Peter Parker from Chip Zdarsky's 'Spider-Man: Life Story'.
Love that geode!

The trailer looks gorgeous. I'm so excited!
I can't WAIT for this! 🕷❤💙
The Domestic Trailer was MUCH better.
it didnt have the voice overs from Tobey, Andrew, and Tom, the 3 live action peters. so idk about that.
This trailer a bit different from the NA trailer. There’s a more conflict with his parents and there is maybe a side villain
I don't know anything about Miguel. Is he always that...aggressive?
That's what I'm wondering too omg
You expected Oscar Isaac not to play an aggressive character?
Do the barbie one next please 🏃🏻❤️

Nice to see you excited about a trailer, I feel like it’s been a moment since that’s happened. 😊
she enjoyed the blue beetle trailer that posted recently too!
@@saphcal yeah I watched that video after this one, it was also cute 😊.
