Regarding the bit about Australian airlines. Perth is one of the most isolated population centres in the world. There are basically no major cities between Adelaide and Perth on the south side. And on the north end just lol. So road connections do exist. But there is a lot of empty space with minimal population density connecting them. Australia is like a country the size of Japan or the UK on the east coast, but with a massive desert tacked on between the main island and the equivalent of Hokkaido or Ireland.
Actually, it is surprising Ireland is so high up, because it could be easily confused with Cote d'Ivoire, which is just the mirror image. For that reason, I can see why the US isn't in the top tier, because Malaysia's flag just replaces the stars with the Crescent and Star, so someone from that region doing the quiz quickly might accidentally hit the wrong answer.

Ireland probably isn’t high because of the Ivory Coast.
I just did the drive from Sydney to Melbourne and back last weekend and it's 10 hours of nothing but featureless roads that are poorly lit at night. There's a very high risk of falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing or hitting some of the wildlife at 110 Km/h with poor reception at most places, so if you happen to bin your car around certain areas, getting help is next to impossible. It's definitely cheaper, quicker and safer to just get a flight

I live in the City with Germany's most dangerous spot: Our Train Station. Lot of mugging, some battery and the occasional stabby stab. They have a homeless problem and it's dirty. They also have 3 bakeries, 2 of which serve 24h with all female staff, a McD with no security staff, 24h Supermarket with zero "extra safety" features... You know, there's the Police and stuff... it's all relative 😅
I slept at that train station and woke up with all my belongings and an extra chewing gum in my hand 😅
