Regarding the bit about Australian airlines. Perth is one of the most isolated population centres in the world. There are basically no major cities between Adelaide and Perth on the south side. And on the north end just lol. So road connections do exist. But there is a lot of empty space with minimal population density connecting them. Australia is like a country the size of Japan or the UK on the east coast, but with a massive desert tacked on between the main island and the equivalent of Hokkaido or Ireland.

I just did the drive from Sydney to Melbourne and back last weekend and it's 10 hours of nothing but featureless roads that are poorly lit at night. There's a very high risk of falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing or hitting some of the wildlife at 110 Km/h with poor reception at most places, so if you happen to bin your car around certain areas, getting help is next to impossible. It's definitely cheaper, quicker and safer to just get a flight
Combining the eu for car exports is insane; just Germany and Italy combined would be first with Mercedes, bmw, Porsche, vw, lambo, ferrari, etc
1:45 it's a pain to drive through Victoria, but the roads are alright - they're just quite long, and do tend to hug the coast. Sydney has excellent public transit & trains, and thus there's a good rail link - but also a good airport link too.

I am somehow doubtful about the flags. Either the options were absolute bs or there must be smth wrong. If you put in the ivory coast as an option for Ireland, you will have at most 50% of people getting it right. Goes the other way around as well.
And south Africa? I mean I know the flag of south africa, but I am sure, that within my friend group and family only a few others would recognize it.

As a resident of Sydney, I can confirm that the trains and roads aren’t poor, it’s just really far (~800km) which takes about 10-12 hours by car.

Actually, it is surprising Ireland is so high up, because it could be easily confused with Cote d'Ivoire, which is just the mirror image. For that reason, I can see why the US isn't in the top tier, because Malaysia's flag just replaces the stars with the Crescent and Star, so someone from that region doing the quiz quickly might accidentally hit the wrong answer.
Probably a lot of people mixing the Irish flag with the Ivory Coast's.

Sydney connects to alot of international flights to the us etc and there alot of sports teams and businesses go from Melbourne to Sydney and reverse . Also the trains we have go from perth to Sydney via Adelaide or Adelaide to Darwin but its cheaper and quicker to fly across the country. I live in the City with Germany's most dangerous spot: Our Train Station. Lot of mugging, some battery and the occasional stabby stab. They have a homeless problem and it's dirty. They also have 3 bakeries, 2 of which serve 24h with all female staff, a McD with no security staff, 24h Supermarket with zero "extra safety" features... You know, there's the Police and stuff... it's all relative 😅
I slept at that train station and woke up with all my belongings and an extra chewing gum in my hand 😅
