- I haven't made one of these in a long time, so here is a complete ride around the RRVT in probably a little better quality than the last one that was put up. Grab a coffee and enjoy the trip!

Every boys dream to have a train in his yard. This encapsulates all the wonder in a child's eyes . Incredible amount of effort to do this.
Oh wow. So tripping. That was so cool. Reminds if the days way back in the 70s. Me an my buddy's had a motorizied. Service. Buggy. And we used to take up to mt Rainier washington..st... And buzz the old tracks. Up on the. Mountains. Just like that.

And what a fearful thing when in my dreams, i am riding the train and it derails 😱
That's true
When I was a child, my grandparents had a big garden with a river in the back. They lived close to the montain so there was a lot of wood available in any shape and size. I built too with friends couple of meters of wooden railway with cool curves on the river side. It was very cool stuff...
I live on a 140 acre farm & have always wanted to setup my own little railway on it like yours. It'd be so cool to use when I'm baling hay & need to move them up to the barn which can be about a mile away from the furthest hay field. Load up the bales on a couple flatbed cars & haul them up to the barn. Return empty & repeat. Use it to transport logs, soil, & just play around on.
140 acres? Holy shit man!
How great is that ... only a wishful dream for us people living in the suburbs all their lives. Great land !
I would like a house that resembles a railway platform with a track and an empty rake stationed . It would have a signal , a station office and a place to rest and a kitchen. For dinners we can have them in the rake. There will be a little garden too. How wonderful to theme your house like a railway station. I'm 48 but the childhood fascination with trains still lives inside me . I still gawk at trains when they pass by. And I love to read the newspaper on a railway station. So much bliss.❤
I like how the surrounding landscape was left to grow naturally, it goes perfectly with your train layout there
Sometimes it grows a little too much lol
A humongous amount of 👍 to you. I saw at least one of your reconstruction videos. Thank you for the virtual ride on your Railway. Again what a tremendous amount of perseverance, effort, and what my Grandmother called (stick-to-ivness).
Thank you for showing us the trip from the driver's cabin. It is a magnificent video
A fantastic railroad! Just great! Thanks for letting us ride!
That's an awesome railroad! Always admire people who created such things in their backyard... Perhaps you need to build a fuel brick making machine to deal with leaves, don't forget to mount it on a flatcar!
From an Italian HS Train Driver, congrats for the track and the build !!! Awesome !!! ❤❤
Thank you very much! I visited Italy last fall and rode those trains all across your beautiful country, loved every second of it :)
@@CNW4145 yeah we have a pretty and functional HS railway, the Subway of Italy or in italian "Metropolitana d'Italia"
Past few years I've been enjoying the many cab view videos on RUclips, especially from Japan. You get to see the world's buildings, homes, farms, wilderness, industry, and other railroad technology like never before. And then I discovered your short video: That darn 9 minute ride can compete with the best of 'em. Thanks and keep it going.
Самая экстремальная железная дорога в мире.Благодарю за такой необыкновенный контент.
Thank you very much, that means a lot! :)
Vielen Dank für das Video.
😅Ich bin beeindruckt, hab nicht gedacht das in dieser Wildnis noch ein Zug fährt, zumal die Schienen kaum zu erkennen sind. ❤🎉 LG Eli
Mr Toads wild ride….this is awesome !
This was a dream of mine when I was between the ages of 10-15. I still love seeing people making a dream like this a reality. As a glass telegraph insulator collector, we gotta get some glass jewels up on those poles! Beautiful setup! Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's a smart railway you've got there , thanks for the ride 👍🇬🇧
Thanks for the wonderful tour!
Awesome;love the scenery as it unwinds. So tranquil;even with the squealing!
This is wicked cool. Almost like when I rode some trains at the amusement parks, except yours looks much more fun! Thank you for sharing this video and bringing back great memories!
I tinkled a little when the tracks disappeared in all those leaves.
Thanks for watching!!
A lot of love and hard work is built into this layout. All my respect.
Salúde from San Antonio!
Thanks, glad you enjoy it!
I live it
I wish I could do this
I love how you open the throttle up on the long tangent track
Well done
Wonderful. What a terrific railway. A credit to you. Many thanks for sharing.
It's crazy how Detroit looks nowadays but still running trolly service!
Now - That's what I call impressive.
A labor of love that pays you back a 100X over.
It doesn't get much better than that - so thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking it out :)
I want my own railway so badly. Magnificient video.
You should build one, its fun!
Every time I see you've got a new upload, I watch it! As always, you never fail to capture my interest and enthusiasm. I really love getting the full tour- I definitely noticed the catenary is looking a lot less of a mess than it used to, and by the looks of things there's some new ties to be installed (presumably when the ground thaws out). Thanks for sharing your wonderful videos, they make my day!
ime a leverett and a railfan. wow. my grandpa worked for the L&N. Blue Ridge, Georgia, in the fiftys and sixtys. Small world! What a coincidence. Cheers!
Pulled right up into the driveway!
In my case, the Leverett is after a town, not a last name, but still neat! No railroaders in my family unfortunately, but I’m fond of the railroad that used to run through the western side of the town. It was the CV until 1995, but the last train to call at Leverett was c. 1940 I think. The old station grounds don’t show much of a trace of what once was, but its not too hard to tell something could have once been there.
Looks like a great ride. I'd love to ride it someday
That leaves covered tracks look surreal. Great video👍
Thanks for the ride. It brings peace. Regards.
So nice to see that this was a wonderful day to have the opportunity to be here.
Every kid's dream. Mine was built by my Dad inside our house. Thanks for airing this😀😀😀♥️
Thank you♥️
So very interesting, tiny railroad. Ever consider a Halloween “scream park” theme? Vampire, mummy, werewolf, Freddy Cruger jumping out, going boo to passengers. Might be able to get local club, organization to provide actors to play parts. With a bit of promotion it might make some revenue. The insurance/liability thing may be a hassle.
To have an interurban on your own property is amazing. I can’t imagine the work you’ve put into this
Enchanting and majestic which city mongers like us can only dream off!! Truly breathtaking and engrossing enough to keep you attached with it all life in unending passion!!
Omg just saw this video and decided to check it out. Absolutely love the "ride" around the track! I would definitely go for a ride on it. I'm going to check out your other videos! Thanks for the ride
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for the ride. That was fun. My inner child says AWESOME!
Wonderful friendly crossings video. 😊
I played it on 2X for some mind blowing, white knuckle speeed!!
hahahaha I never considered that but now I'm going to do it!
@@CNW4145 lol!!
I really enjoy watching your videos! I think you've done a great job with this railway!
Man!! That's the Kewlest ride through the Country I've ever seen! We had the "Little Toot" down here by Carterville, IL back in the 80s but I think it was a lesser guage..
This was fun to watch. What a special place. I just kept thinking about the amount of upkeep. The constant march of rust and rot. The leaves on the ties making the wood soft I would not be able to enjoy it because I would be working on it non stop.
Thanks for stopping by, the work to maintain it is what is fun for me. Gives me a job that you can really see immediate results when its done!
This video is the delirium of the mind. There`s nothing in it but whacking around the bushes. Why am I watching this?
That was just wonderful. Thank you for that!
2 of my friends like railroads and model trains. They told me about John Allen and his Gorre & Daphetid railroad. I read Gorre & Daphetid book and was stunned, impressed very much.
Your railroad is as mind-boggling as John Allen's. Thanks for the vid, from Japan.
That is a very high compliment, thanks a lot!
Oh my GOSH 😃!!!! That was Awesome, Spectacular! Amazing, I'd sure like to make something like this for my 4 grandchildren. I'm out on the farm/country on 4 acers, so it CERTAINLY is not gonna be as big as yours. Yours almost reminds me of the amusment park in DENVER, Colo, (Lakeside), their PASSANGER train has about 8 coaches, but it goes around a lake, the length of track from station to around the entire lake is about 3/4s of mile long I'd say. And boy do I love it.❤️ Nice layout you go!!😉, Thanks for sharing this with me,😁👌😉👍
That's so cool that you've got the overhead elec system, love it ❤️
Many compliments ! You did a great job !!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the ride!
I enjoyed it very much!
It really took me back to my childhood ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was fantastic! I'm going to go around again!
What a wonderful, rugged little railway , I love it .
Great stuff...well done !
this is incredible!👍🖐
Outstanding ... for the first time I have seen it. Huge Love from Calcutta India 💕💕💕🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Thank you! Cheers!
When I was a little kid I kept fantasizing about a railway exactly like this existing somewhere in the woods behind my hometown, so watching this video was pretty much seeing that childhood fantasy fulfilled. Thank you for this opportunity
Great to hear, sometimes I wish I had more woods to fill with track!
@@CNW4145was this a abandoned railroad line and you restored it?
Nope, it was built for a hobby and I continue to operate and improve the operation as time allows.
Amazing lay out looks so fun 👍😎
Great Fun, I love railways and locomotives of any description, and this was brilliant to watch, although the track leaves a lot to be desired, Im wobndering how you dont get more derailments!! Great video thanks for sharing
Derailments are rare out here :)
I don't know how I got here, I'm not a train guy but I now can bring my day to a close.
Thank you!
Hey thanks for stopping by!
Very nice. I can see where leaves can be a bit of work during the year.
I think the most striking aspect is that it is electrified. You wouldn't expect that at all from something this compact!
It does make it unique for sure :)
Damned, I envy you. Congratulations to this great work 😉
It’s one thing to have your own railroad, but one that has a working catenary system? That’s pretty neat. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for stopping by!
Definitely Something I would do During my Retirement!
This was so fun to watch! 🚆
Wow...amazing job!!
Thanks, enjoyed the ride around!
Smooth train ride no town no stations just the woods
Охренеть мужик заморочился! Это же сколько труда - мосты через овраги со всеми подпорками, столбы, держащие линию электропередачи...
я считаю, что это полная хрень, или человек- устойчивый мегафанат ж.д.
A very entertaining ride indeed. Why put up a conductor mast when a tree will do. Love the use of leaves for ballast! New supply every autumn.😀
Awesome video sir, great job indeed. Enjoyed the ride.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
There is nothing I don't absolutely love about this! It is a child's dream come true.
What an incredible little railway. All credit.
Just seen another video showing the loco and with the overhead and bell,it seems more tramway orientated than strictly a train.
In fact over here in the UK they had many industrial "tramways" that had locos/ trams just like the one you were driving, called 'Steeple Cabs".
One local to me ran coal trucks along a passenger tram road line to stock a coal merchants yard.
Anyway, whatever you class it, it's brilliant.
Cheers
Thank you!
Very nice. thanks for posting.
Such a rich memory of riding the train at The Forest Park amusement park way back in the fifties somewhere in PA. I loved that little train. PWG. P.S. The leaves partially obscuring the tracks makes the video more interesting.
Great job!! The Union Pacific has nothing on you! Your videos are great, please keep them coming.
Very nice video. Thank you for uploading.
I always chose the train rides at amusement parks. They were my favorite and it would be amazing to have a train like this in my own backyard!
Sometimes I go to those places just to ride the train lol
It was a very interesting video for me. Enjoyed the mini trip.
Awesome, thank you!
The small version of interurbans that used to be everywhere at some point in time! VERY NICE❗
That is exactly the idea of this railway, to replicate in miniature what once existed :)
@@CNW4145 the town i live in had an interurban line through it years ago, it converted to diesel in the 1950s, and when the interstate highway program got underway, about a half-mile of the traction line was lost to history. Within the last few years, a 4.5 mile portion of the right of way north of the gap, was converted to a bike/hike trail. Ive been on it a couple times, and the first mile is a breeze going downhill, but coming back up, its a whole different ball game. I dont know what the grade measures out to be, but i can just imagine those ancient freight motors had a real struggle on their wheels! There are a couple more segments of the same interurban in the area, and theyre also bike/hike trails, but one section stands out from all the others, its about a mile long, built in the 1940s as a bypass route to avoid downtown Springfield Illinois, and is still in use as of today, doing exactly what it was intended for when first built in the 1940s.
Its a shame we don't have them anymore, we really did have a very advanced transportation system at one time. Just think of what it could be today! Oh wait, thats what Europe did lol
@@CNW4145 this is kind of scary, ive read that it costs more to charge an EV, than it does to fill up a gas-powered car. But, across the pond, it seems like its the other way around. And then, theres hybrid vehicles built by some companies, after i did a lot of thinking, it dawned on me, they shrunk the innards of a diesel-electric locomotive into a small vehicle size, the powerplant keeps the batteries charged, while going down the road.
In Minsk we have "Children's Railroad" where everybody can ride such mini-train drived by teens from railway colledge)
Really nice virtual ride, Enjoyed it👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
O my God,this is so very very lovely, beautiful and amazing.😍❤️👍🏻❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
Wow! This is a serious garden railway.
Im so jealous . brilliant work man
Thank you!
Wonderful!!! Thank you! Wish I could take a ride with you!
WOW. Incredible. Need to explore your videos ❤
Thanks a lot!
Like always thanks for the ride.
Just notice the sign that said Richard Park, my name is Richard also, lol, lol thanks again.
Very beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤩
Thank you for the Ride.
That is mental, that is mad. I love it.
Fantastique ! Bravo c'est un rêve d'enfant réalisé !! Félicitations
Great video !
Thanks for the ride. For nine minutes, I was five-years-old again.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember coming across these videos years ago now. At the time I was able to use Google Earth to pinpoint where this was. Somewhere in Indiana I think. If you go looking you can spot the long straight section along the creek and the support posts for the electricity looks like fence posts. Now I can't remember the name of the nearest town. ??
Actually, I think it's in Illinois. Someone from Shoreline railfan group told me the general vicinity of it but I was never able to pinpoint it exactly.
Cudowna podróż 👍
Great ride!
Your place is amazing. I'd love to be able to do that.
Thanks, it really is a nice place for this setup!
Would be nice if we knew where this Toonerville trolley was located.
Amazing tour
Thanks for visiting
Какая же красота. Я бы там поработал, лет 10.
This is like a life goal for me.
