The Best Gaming Mouse Right Now? | Razer Viper V2 Pro Review

- Опубликовано: 5 фев 2025
- The Razer Viper V2 Pro is one of the best gaming mouse options on the market currently. Its lightweight design makes quick movements a breeze and maintains the same symmetrical design the viper ultimate had. But at its steep $150 pricetag, is it actually worth it for the average PC Gamer?

I don't know why you have such less subscribers man. You're amazing! I just ordered my Viper Ultimate with the dock. I hope I love it. 😁
Thank you man! Hope you enjoy it!
Just discovered your channel. Top quality vids! Would definitely recommend
Viper Ultimate has been my main for a year. I haven't found anything that is nearly as comfortable (deathadder is pretty good for me). The rubber grip on my ultimate is wearing down, similar to how a old console controller thumbstick gets. I upgraded to the Viper V2. I'm a little torn, I think the price is too high, yet it is the best mouse i've ever used. Better clicks, better stock skates and the weight reduction is noticeable. Its definitely an upgrade from the Ultimate but is it worth $70- $80 more? I guess for me it was.
I’m with you there. I absolutely love using it but the price is just doesn’t make sense for most people. If I didn’t make videos I don’t think I would’ve bought it honestly.
I got my viper v2 for 100 bucks retuned my cyberpunk viper ultimate back ( I had store credit) man it feels amazing super light and very responsive! I like the buttons on the side I think it was an upgrade from the viper ultimate but only if you can get it around 120 or less
Awesome review. Getting the V2 Pro today.
Thanks man, enjoy!
I bought Razer Viper Ultimate after seen your video "Logitech G Pro X Superlight vs Razer Viper Ultimate" and I'm happy with my choice , so I would like to thank you in your recently video ~
Thank you man! I’m glad I could help
Great review! I personally have just never gotten into the lightweights. I tried an Aerox 5, but with my palm grip and somewhat larger hands, I went back to the Basilisk Ultimate. I've never been good at flick aiming anyway, so I prefer the better control of a heavier mouse. Plus I play a variety of games, so the Basilisk feels like a better all arounder.
Maybe someday down the road I'll look at something like this as a secondary mouse and use it strictly for when I play D2 PvP. If the price comes down, anyway.
Thanks man! I can definitely feel that. For single player games I would sometimes prefer to have a little more weight because most of the time you don’t have to be flicking around.
Excellent high quality content bud! Keep up the good work!
Thank you man!
Been a while man, good to see you are growing on your channel! Love it❤
Thank you brother!
Thanks for the awsome review again
Thank you man!
Great review as always! I havent seen your videos in a while, i used to comment on them, but it is really nice to see you kept up your quality.
I appreciate that man

I was maining the Ultimate for about a Year and a Half, had the regular Viper before that....the V2 Pro is an upgrade I think that IS worth it as well. The Charging station is cool but mine started to stop charging the mouse so I had to use the micro USB cable to charge it. The rubber also wore down for me too and it was getting noticeable, the side buttons and the weight are the most notibable changes I felt immediately and while the regular ultimate had a few bonus features with the extra side buttons on the right side of the mouse, I rarely used them and disabled one of them entirely because I was pressing against it the low profile of the buttons I wasn't a big fan of even if they would have just been on one side so the V2 pro fixed that for me as well. I think it is worth the price, it's the latest tech while keeping the shape which is why I have 3 itterations of the mouse and the upgrades on it are nice the clicks are better too for me. And if anyone is asking why I have 3 Vipers, well if you have ever had a mouse start double clicking the optical switches remove that worry for me and with a longer life than mechanical switches it's a 2 for 1 issue solver for me.
I don't mind the removal of RGB or charging dock nor do I mind the USB dongle slot on the mouse being removed, I'd say the Mouse is a 9 out of 10. Nothing is perfect but this mouse is pretty close for me.
Great video. Still sticking to my corsair harpoon wireless. The shape is just super nice
Thanks for watching! I actually almost bought a harpoon ages ago but ended up getting the m65 I think it was called from corsair
I'm glad I ignored a lot of the nitpicky negative reviews of the v2 Pro. I decided to just go buy it and determine for myself if this is worth replacing my XM1r as my main. Result? It is my new main now. The coating on the v2 Pro is actually quite grippy for dry hand fingertip grippers like myself. If you have sweaty hands, you might actually have to resort to the included rubber grips, although, they add about 1-2 more grams of weight and they add more width to the mouse (which I find to be perfect as is already)
I don’t know that you were referring to me as nitpicky but I just think it’s worth mentioning the price being the same as the vu with physically less. But I agree 100% with you, me personally I absolutely love it and would still pay full price even if I didn’t make videos.
Lol that's interesting so many dudes speaking about xm1r shape and performance , so what do you think which shape is better or another aspects
i am so happy it doesn't have the side buttons on both sides. they always annoyed the heck out of me on the side i am not using!
also screw rgb and that charging dock.
this mouse is my endgame and I never had or seen anything better.
Great video homie most likely going to wait to see if logitech makes a new version of the superlight. Right now though, I'm currently using the viper ultimate and the odin infinity v2, which I'm really happy with, especially coming from a qck. That was one of my biggest upgrade, mainly because I had no room to move my mouse around and it started to wear out pretty quickly. So I probably wouldn't get the new mouse since it's not a huge jump from the old viper to the new viper, unlike the mousepad that I got currently. I'll probably get the mx master 3s though, since I'm going to be using it for things like dditing videos and photos. Also, kinda off topic, but what's the name of the effect at 1:04? I've seen randomfrankp use it, and I love the prespective it gives when you're holding the mouse with different mouse grips.
Thanks brother! What you've got now is still a real nice setup. An upgraded superlight is inevitable but I'm not sure when we'll see it. I'd hope to see it lower the weight and have some better switches, all at a lower price. Until then though when both are $150 (superlight sometimes is even 160) the viper is a better pickup. But yeah really the differences between the vu and v2 aren't so drastic that most people need to upgrade. I really think its best for super competitive players or people who need to get a mouse and are able to find it on sale.
I actually got my hands on the mx master 3s and really like it for productivity. A slight but nice upgrade from my 2s I had been using for a couple years. As for the edit, yeah i've been trying to replicate a lot of Frank's effects recently haha. But it's basically just two different clips that I film - one being a static shot of the mouse, and then another where I'm putting my hand over it while trying to keep it in the same spot. I then put that second clip on top of the first, keyframing the opacity.
Being an owner of the viper ultimate (V1) I don't see myself upgrading just for the lighter weight, I wasn't using the charging dock but the removal of the on/off button is kind of a deal breaker to me, and no improvements to the scroll wheel is a bummer.
The single button for power and dpi is actually one of the things I hate the most
Did anyone had issue with viper v2 pro where you cannot connect the mouse with the usb dongle the mouse stops working where as the mouse works completely fine wired?
You should review the coolermaster mm731
I have been using the 8k hz mouse for months and I got this viper v2 pro but I had to go back to the 8k hz mouse cuz it is too smooth with the 8khz
How many hs is your monitor? 240 or 360?
@@jeric8692 360
@@josham9739 is it night and day diff than the v2pro? Can you try if it's still noticeable at 240hz. If only you have spare time
@@jeric8692 the v2 pro seems to have a faster input but the viper 8k hz is smoother
@@jeric8692 as for on 240 ill get back to you later on that
how would you compare this to the glorious model d wireless? Right now I have a model o wireless but honestly the ambidextrous feel is still slightly uncomfortable for me and there's some hardware issues on it so I've been looking to upgrade to either the model d wireless or the viper v2 pro
I agree on keeping the dock charging pins coz its so bizarre having to charge a wireless mouse with a wire😂
White, yellow and red paints are heavier than other paints typically. Could explain the gram difference :)
Interesting, thanks for the info!
Are you gonna try the finalmouse starlight? its my endgame imo.
I’d like to get my hands on one eventually. With their drops though it makes it much harder to go out and get a unit to review
Gonna buy for my son but... what if his hand doesnt fit it and is too small?
It shouldn’t be a huge issue, but viper mini is an option if you don’t care about it being wired
I use a palm grip/relaxed claw grip, and my hand is pretty large. Currently using g102 but its too small for my hands. Between gpx superlight and v2 pro which one should I get?
You might like the Superlight if you use a more relaxed claw grip honestly. If you can try to see one in store or just make sure wherever you buy from has a good return policy.
i own the ultimate and i dont like the shape iam more excited for the xm2w
Do u have xm1r
Ótimo review como sempre, viewer do Brasil
Appreciate you watching! :)
Hey any review coming up on Pulsar Xlite v2?
I don’t currently have one but I’ve gotten a few comments wanting me to cover it. It may be something I check out in the future tho!
I upgrade to this mouse from the viper mini and my favorite thing is the mouse clicks. They feel way different.
+1 on this. I have the viper ultimate, g pro x superlight. The M1 and M2 clicks are really good. I prefer them much over the other two, especially the viper ultimate. I think I'm returning the v2 pro because the gpx superlight shape seems to work better for me, but damn I wish it had the v2 pro clicks on them (except the mouse wheel).
If an updated superlight has switches like the v2 pro and isn't stupid expensive it'd be amazing
What is the name of that keyboard that you're using in this video?
It's the Keychron Q1!
I have the viper v2 pro and i love it, the only problem that I have is the battery life, i dont feel the battery life is 80 hours at all
How much are you getting roughly?
@@ColeCaccamise btw optical switches are always on and that lil led is on witch not sure if you can turn it off so it's more like 60 maybe even less
@@ColeCaccamise I dont know exactly but I feel its like around 50h
Thanks for the info!
I’m ngl as a Logitech drone this looks hella appealing
Lmao come to the dark side…
Am I the only one waiting for a lightweight version of the G903 with all the buttons?
I wouldn’t mind that tbh
link for that desktop clock plzzzzz
It’s an amazon echo spot. Only problem is it did get discontinued
Amazing video.
Thank you!
I heard the mouse's battery life is 80 hours, but why does the box say "up to 70 hours" only??
I’ve heard different numbers from different people. I was confused because the site says 80 but box says 70
@@ColeCaccamise Exactly, the info on the website and the box does not match. I hope we get an explanation soon, cause this is confusing.
But based on your experience, is the Viper V2 Pro have better battery life than the Viper Ultimate?
It's definitely been better, but I never really had issues with the ultimate because I was never playing long enough where it was dying on me. Imo I prefer the convenience of charging on the dock rather than plugging in a cable
@@ColeCaccamise from my experience, the battery lasted around 1 week & 3 days on a single charge
And the XM2w?
I have no clue what that is
@@ColeCaccamise its a mice
I thinking of buying it I’m not sure yet
Can you help with deciding the XM2w or razor viper v2?
@@ColeCaccamise its new endgame gear mouse, its name is xm2w, its upgraded version of xm1r with wireless
Nice vid
Appreciate it!
Got mine for $100 with shipping
Brutal being left handed and having all these new releases have no right-side buttons :(
Agreed! Can’t imagine having two more buttons would make that much of a difference to the feel
Use your right hand like a normal person then
What are you saying bro
I would argue the Viper Ultimate V1 is better right now at its current price. The V1 is only $69 new without dock. Thats under Half the price of the new v2. Definitely worth buying 2 V1's instead of just 1 v2
Yeah it’s seriously a killer deal. The viper ultimate is seriously a great mouse and at that price it’s a steal
Newest comment 😎😎😎
I currently own the V1 viper ultimate and for me it doesn't feel like and upgrade but more like a downgrade. The V1 has way more features than the V2, the grip tape on the side, side buttons on both sides etc. The v2 would maybe be an upgrade if they fix the scroll wheel but right now the V1 is cheaper and offers more than the v2 and its lighter weight.
how are you not famous
Haha appreciate that brother!
I like the switches sounds on bot mouses
Bot mouses?
@@ColeCaccamise i meant both
And also cole you might just uave a defective copy of the mouse i see tech reviewers about this mouse some of them told us it was solid like watch the techne
Im a big fan of you
This is literally the Viper pro with less features
