Cheers m8 I went to vist a mate filmed is collection Inc a real tag it was mostly out of shot or focus in the end. Rookie error. Let me know if u want to review cheers.
@@timeintheuk no i was saying there are replicas of the monaco being sold (with actual heuer/tag heuer branding on them) that use the exact same case as this specht & sohne homage you reviewed.. so i was saying the side by side you did would be very helpful to anyone who is in the market for those replicas as well 👍
I enjoyed that review. Looks good on your wrist, the proportions look fine to me. Didn’t realise it was as thick as that. Although I have a watch at 16mm with a domed sapphire and that looks fine. Must say it’s a nice looking watch for the money. Bout the same as a night out👍
I like a fair bit about it, until you said how thick it is. That's thicker than most automatic dive watches. Definitely a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the review though
I own the Monaco caliber 11 and I'm so surprised how well built this homage is. An experienced eye can tell from first look though. The dial is too dull. The colors are nowhere close to the original gulf. Same applies for the hands. The crystal is also a huge giveaway. But still very decent for the buck. The thickness though is horrible. My automatic Monaco with sellita mechanism and a modular chronograph on top is still over 1mm thinner than that quartz one. Great review mate.
@@timeintheuk yeah I did and it does look bigger. 1mm diameter on a square case really makes a difference. Also I can't tell if it's all polished. Judging by the box I thought you owned the 2009 anniversary limited edition with McQueens signature at the back but after looking at the date complication it seems you own the same as mine. You can't imagine how much I appreciate people who own a Monaco. It shows a great taste and knowledge.
@@nickthegreekpandazis6725 very kind words but I'm afraid it's my mate John who has the real deal I can't take any credit for his exelent choice in watches
I would have 'liked & subscribed', but it felt like you did zero preparation in reviewing this watch - like you saw an opportunity to pop out on the patio, & quickly dashed it off, while the sun was out - sorry?!
Very very nice review.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
I like it..nice video...good quality
Thank you
Nice work on the photos and videography dude 🤙🤙😎😎

finally a side by side!! this specht and sohne uses the same case and crystal that the replica monacos use so this is very helpful. thank you!
Not 100% the same. I have would not take it to the bank that parts are interchangeable as I suspect they are not

@@santigualberto i suspect a lot of watches on ali are fakes turned legit
Looked at these a couple of times, weird how thick it is though?
Is the strap adjustable for different wrist thickness?
Yes

I'm going to have to say I like wearing this one. It's so different to others I own would I wear it every day prob not. However it looks great
It has presence, I think that’s the idea. A statement peice maybe
@@jonnylongpour2455 for sure it's just good fun
How is this watch holding up? Was thinking to get one. Looks very attractive and affordable. Any complaints?
It was great but very little worn so I sold it on eBay a few months ago
To answer your question about the bird logo, "Specht" is a woodpecker in German.
Thanks for the heads up
It has no second hand?
Big orange one when you set it timing
15.3mm thick for a quartz?
O yes it's a staitment alright

It realy does not feel so bad however the calipers don't lie. And I was honestly surprised. I think the extra 1mm is in the hardlex
that's a huge watch, too thick, a real monster for the wrist
To be fair it wears just fine it's defo there tho

Did you see the side by side comparison in the vid

There was a mix up with the boxes John said he had a devil of a job getting a box from the ad

Correct .
