Wow, great review! Nice video and audio and you covered all the bases in a knowledgeable, unbiased way. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these. Thanks so much!
@cliffallen4204, I’m glad you found the video to be useful. I appreciate your feedback and good luck with purchasing your new timepiece! It’s a beautiful watch.
Good review and very funky stunning piece. Reflective coatings on the outside of crystals can tarnish and show scratches. I have this on an old beat up Breitling. Shame that clasp is I comfortable. Like you say it’s an iconic piece and the colours look great on this model. Nice to have such a watch in a collection.
@Bobby Dazzler, it’s a great time piece. Even with its shortcomings, I still love the watch. Eventually, I will change the strap so I can wear it more often.
@SB Kiwi, I was not aware the rotor is car wheel inspired. Now that I look at it, it makes sense. Thank you for the info and thank you for watching the video!
@prnzjon, thank you for the feedback! It’s a great looking watch with a lot of presence. I have skinny wrist and I believe I wear it a little too tight. That could be the reason the clasp is digging into my skin.
@JioniDrive I have the same problem...I really like the watch a lot. I too, have very skinny wrists. I dont wear it tight. It does have very sharp edges and very unlike any other watch I own... the solution to get it filed down by a profession sounds like a plan. I am afraid however, that the starp may get spoiled. Please do let me know if you managed to get this issue fixed. Gorgeous cars by the way....wow wow wow!!!
@Steven S, it is nicely put together. They don’t make many and your local dealer might have to order one for you. It took about a month for my local dealer to get one and then I went in to see it and try it. Thank you for watching!
Steven S, they have held the price very well and buying it second hand will not really save you money. The dealer gave me 10% off. The second hand prices are pretty much what I paid straight from the dealer. Good luck with the purchase!
@nialli2000, when I bought it, they gave me 10% discount. My other choice was to finance it. The dealer I bought it from will have one month in a year where they will finance watches. They have held their value very well but you can find it at a discount in the second-hand dealers.
Interesting, currently sitting on a ship with an AD who’s told me that tag does not allow their AD’s to give discounts otherwise they revoke their license
@brandonplitzko2660, interesting. They gave me 10% upfront. But this was 2022. If I choose to finance the watch, then they were not going to give the discount. I think it depends on the AD, I saw other people who got 7-10% discount even in 2024.
@@JioniDrive perhaps that’s the reason, I planned on taking advantage of the carnival cruise card 0% apr for 12 months. They want 8k flat for this watch brand new. I know it’s not hateful but really wanted to get the best deal I could
@@brandonplitzko2660 I used a credit card to pay for it but I did not finance with AD’s Financing Company. Probably AD in the ship sells them quite often and they don’t need to offer discounts.
Great review , very detailed and useful.

Good review. Just got mine. Great additional to the collection. Looks great, feels great. Square style is VERY COOL! Looks great and wears great.
@TheMcatcott, it’s a beautiful time piece. Enjoy it!
My brother has this watch and it is very cool! The Gulf accents are very nice.
@@blakerh, it’s a cool, casual watch. Kinda flashy sometimes. But I love it. Your brother has nice taste in watches!
Have this watch as well as the Grand Prix and Dark Lord Monaco’s. Always catch people’s eye when worn…
I think you'll find the car wheel inspired rotor is different on this model as well as the red column wheel. Lovely piece.
@SB Kiwi, I was not aware the rotor is car wheel inspired. Now that I look at it, it makes sense. Thank you for the info and thank you for watching the video!
Excellent review....very underrated for the info provided....1st one I have seen to address the issue with the clasp digging into the skin..
Thanks...

@prnzjon, I haven’t taken it to the dealer for them to file down the clasp. If I do, I will update you.
Great commentary and tech specs compared to others…keep it going!!wish to do same😊😊
@jagspatel7060, thank you for watching! Will you be reviewing watches?
Good job , thanks for sharing your personal experience, I really enjoyed it. 🤘🏼
@Andy Peterson, thank you for watching and for the feedback. It’s a nice watch. A little heavy compared to vintage Chronographs. But I enjoy it.
I really want to try this one. I think they did a great job with the Gulf livery.

I like the Monaco watch design, but no AR coating on the sapphire and no screw down crown are problems for me.
@theeethrushes, I agree. At this price point, it should have the coating.

Funny I’m looking at this watch and was thinking it will be my drivers watch in my 911 3.2
@georgehintenbergerpa4363, 3.2 must be a joy to drive! I think the Monaco will complement the 911 very well. Thank you for watching!
Well explained thank you
@Ashane Weerapura, thank you for watching! I’m glad you could understand me! Enjoy your watches!
The Mexican race was The Carrera Panamericana, hence Carrera or Panamera .....
Mario Falfan, thank you for the info.
Hi! What is your wrist size?
@Stas Ladanov, wrist size is 7.
Looks a bit big on your wrist mate
It’s the largest watch I own.
@@JioniDrive It's a statement piece for sure.
