The most iconic vehicle to hit the movies in my opinion. I have loved watching this build as filled with drama as it's been. The most del looks fantastic though.
I'm happy AND sad to see this one finally closing out. Ecto-1 was my first Partwork, and it actually was how I found your channel. I saw a Facebook Ad from Eaglemoss for it in June 2020 and thought "surely this has to be a scam", so I Googled it and found your channel. I should be finishing mine up in January (Pack 34 is on it's way now)
Looks really impressive Wayne. Just 6 more to go then mine is completed. Such a wonderful build & plenty of enjoyment, despite the delay due to the Eaglemoss demise. Will be building the 1960's Batmobile when it is released. So looking forward to this as it was what I grew up watching.
Hi Wayne... don't know if you remember but I'm doing alll the custom work on this build like the engine and bought all of Mike Lane's upgrades and Corrie over at Scaled Modz who has done upgrades for all the interior electronics plus a complete new..."correct" roof rack with all the components that now actually work... So I'm still doing mine and I'm on pack 21 just after getting the body sections finally... I was way behind you because I took time off because of my PTSD and cancer... But just getting back into it ... Plus customizing my cockpit to the Model Space X-Wing build... Xtra lighting and hoses and painting... That's all i really did on it and a little more dirt outside... Then I'm almost done with my Porsche 917KH from IXO...and did major upgrades to it plus made the doors open much wider like they really should be... And my last one is the Senna's Lotus which is beautiful and so far all i added to it is silver hose ends to make them looked clamped on... But that's all I'm doing now... I may order the '63' Vette and the Pocher JPS 1972 Lotus full kit your doing... But your Ecto-1 looks great... Can you tell me if you retinted the windows or just left them the way they came... I'm not there yet for a while but i was just wondering... Best regards always across the pond to you and the Mrs...
Amazing to see the end of this build, congrats! Also, how about that spring? Just put the cursor over the 2:23 mark and keep clicking there while the video plays :)
Me and my late wife who passed away in January this year.. we saw the Ecto 1 go past us on the motor way coming home from our holiday in Shrewsbury last year. I could not believe it..
I got caught at Issue 19 when EM went belly up, so I have quite a ways to go to finish my build. Looks good though. I've been taking advantage of the Scaled Modz modifications on mine - pricey but looks better.
Congratulations! I signed up for the build after watching your channel and rewatched videos as I worked on my build when I got stuck. Thrilled that Fanhome was able to resume the Ecto-1 build. Will you be putting the entire playlist back up on the channel? I’m sure to need them as I work to finish.
Thanks to you you me help me build my model ghostbusters finally all those years best of luck see in my next build Ps I am building the lancaster next when it comes?
Kinda sad as it was your start on the ecto that got me back in to modeling and ordering it myself (five issues from finishing) and when I finish it and at the same time finish paying of a credit card I plan to start both the KITT and Back To The Future builds so thank you for reigniting this hobby I haven’t enjoyed sense collage
Proton packs are avaliable online to print for it! Adam savage done them for the 1.6 version I just printed them off cause so cool I'm near finish the charger so this is next
Well it finally came to an end. What an amazing journey. This has got to be a record-breaking moment - 3, 4 years to complete right? Great build! The hose kink: Wouldn't inserting a wooden dowel, like a Kabob skewer or something soaked in hot water fix that?
OMG finally finished looking lovely just one thing I have a thing about Wayne why they didn't do the wires on the roof in white to match the car colour or even clear would have been ten times better looking they take the great look of the car
Cool to see this project come to an end. It's interesting to see some of the improvements they've had since the Delorean. The colored screw heads really make a difference on a lot of pieces and the time machine could have really benefitted from that, especially on the flux bands. It's also a lot cooler that a lot of the components are properly named in the instructions as opposed to just being called by their model part number. The level of detail I am unsure about because I don't know the Ecto like I know the time machine, but I don't think they pulled another "the flux they massacred" on this one (unless you count the noisy lightbars, that uhh... is unfortunate.) Anyway! Good job Wayne, congrats on the completed model!
Brilliant build Wayne. Even though it took what, 3 to four years instead of the 2-year projected build, it came out great. I love some of the Mike Lane mods and Partworks upgrades. They definitely bring the model to life. Although, I may have the Mike Lane Mods and Partworks Upgrades confused with some of the model builds you've done. 😛.
I'm not sure whether to embark on this or KITT after my delorean is finished. BTW, the old lights may sound bad, but they look 100% better in my opinion
Wayne, it looks awesome. I'm glad to see it finally finished. I'm doing Eleanor myself, so I know what you've been through. I have Eleanor & Titanic going right now, I don't know how you keep all your builds straight. Will you be completing the Enterprise D? I love your channel, keep up the excellent work.
The Ecto-1 looks awesome and it definitely has been a long time project. My ecto-1 is far from done. I'm at the stage with the frame where the engine is mounted to along with the steering and two front tires. One day it will be done completely. I've got one question. Are you going to finish the Eleanor mustang or have you finished it already. Just curious. Have an awesome day Wayne.
Someone did a mod on the beacons by changing the cog to slow it down and that took care of the noise whilst still using the stock federal lights. Its way too fast
There was someone in the ECTO-1 Facebook group who built his own model of the garage (with lockers etc), but that was all his own work. Eaglemoss were supposed to offer a perspex case to premium members (which would fit on the base) but Fanhome aren't providing the case or the dust cover.
Wayne just let you if you receive a cover from fanhome because like I did not join the premium section just standard order for the ghostbuster they don't mention that when sign up to continue you membership from issue 35 to issue 37 and so on 141 is dust cover so that I didn't get one ok AFTER THREE AND HALF YEARS
looks great , did you ever determine if your power pack mod made the lights motors louder and spin faster then they would if they were powered by the batteries ? i'm asking because I'm at the roof lights point now
Still got 10 boxes of garbage of this shit, never been able to continue and finish my build, havn't even started yet, 500 euro down the drain f**k fanhome

This really is an end of an era. Pleased to see it finished after all the trouble it had.
Finally, another one done, and it is my favourite build. Love the Ghostbusters Movies.
Congratulations. Looks fantastic. Perseverance, thy name is Wayne. Well done Sir!

CONGRATULATION'S FOR COMPLETING YOUR ECTO-1 FROM GHOSTBUSTERS. 😃👍.
Finally, I am currently in issue 23 Wayne, little by little, can’t wait to finish up.

Yep
Glad you were able to finally finish it. It was a long time coming. With the whole collapse of Eaglemoss, I wasn't sure this was ever gonna happen.
Fantastic build. And that 🚨 is one of the best sounds in tv/film history. Right up there with the T.A.R.D.I.S
What an awesome build!! 👍👍
The Ecto 1 looks brilliant, Wayne. Great build, great build series. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride, my freind.
I saw the Ecto 1 drive past me last Friday evening on the Pembury road Tunbridge Wells, was amazing to see in the flesh

The build is awesome. My only criticism is all the exposed wires on the roof.

I've gtta say for Eaglemosses final car that weighs 20KG it's spectacular

Just WOW! Can’t wait to finish mine. 2 more issues
I hope fanhome makes Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters: Afterlife version) and its new version from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
Was hoping for extra issues for the gb2 roof rack

Yep. Actually the next video that will be next week
Looks amazing i wouldnt change the light bars on the top though. Id keep it original i just wouldnt turn them on! 🤣

I don't have that car anymore. I gave it away thinking we will.never see it again
Looks fantastic. Took you long enough though 😂
Someone did a mod on the beacons by changing the cog to slow it down and that took care of the noise whilst still using the stock federal lights. Its way too fast
Nice to see it finished. Just wondering, did you modify your siren sound? It's different than the one that comes out of mine
I don't think so.
Am I remembering correctly or did Eaglemoss also offer a garage diorama with lockers for the premium membership?
I don't remember that
There was someone in the ECTO-1 Facebook group who built his own model of the garage (with lockers etc), but that was all his own work. Eaglemoss were supposed to offer a perspex case to premium members (which would fit on the base) but Fanhome aren't providing the case or the dust cover.

I didn't get a cover for mine
looks great , did you ever determine if your power pack mod made the lights motors louder and spin faster then they would if they were powered by the batteries ? i'm asking because I'm at the roof lights point now
Nope. It was the same with batteries
@@WorldofWayneUK ok thank you now i know what i'm going to do

How many issues 37? How is it so low? Got 110 fornthe charger thought there would be alot more
37 issues at roughly 4 stages per issue so that around 140 stages
THX for the Video… can you give me the High of the Ecto 1?
I will Order a Case :) THX
I would go with 12 inches. It's just over 11 inches with the roof rack items
