Hello Wayne that's amazing this Ecto-1 Ghostbusters fantastic looking car. Nice work on this car. I enjoyed this video very nice. I enjoyed those movies. Nice stuff. 👍👏😀😁😊☺️🙂🤑⭐🌟
I've been waiting for this episode for forever. I feel like the rear tail fins are one of the most iconic parts of this car, aside from the front grill. Excellent video, Wayne!
Wow. Ecto 1 is really coming together now Wayne. Looks mighty impressive now the one of the rear fenders is installed. I am so glad I have subscribed to building this iconic car. Doing a few mods on mine & am really impressed. Great work & video as usual.
If you only ever buy one lego model I'd recommend the UCS Lego Ecto 1 simply because it's awesome. I have quite a lot of lego and Ecto 1 is my favourite. I'd be building this model if I thought I had enough room for it.
I love watching your videos Wayne. Such a shame part-works are not readily available here in Canada. I just managed to snag the Airfix RNLI plastic kit from the local hobby store here. now to source paints ... that will be fun as nobody stocks humbrol anymore here
I've just finished these stages (I've got up to issue 32 but been amassing them for some reason). It looks amazing even so far and a real quality to it. Even if some electrics get damaged when joining together later on I won't mind. In reality it's going to be in the display case and the electrics rarely used, and that by itself is beauty ( for want of a better word) enough. I'm about to have my right eye removed and get ghosting in my remaining eye (no pun intended) a bit like analogue TV when the signal wasn't quite tuned in. It won't progress in my remaining eye thankfully due to my age, but with these things combined this will now be my last model. I've found it hard to build towards these end stages. But what a swansong to perform.
Been waiting for this part of the build....I've always been a huge fan of late 50's American Cars with Chrome and Tailfins. Can't wait to get these stages delivered (I'm in the US, and so far nothing is shipping here from Eaglemoss for any of my builds)
Wayne the ECTO-1 is looking great. But I did notice something when you put it back on the shelf. When you complete the car with all of the equipment on the roof it appears the top of the ECTO-1 will hit the bottom of the shelf that the Bismarck is sitting on. Just something to consider as you get closer to completing that beautiful car. By the way I love the NEW MAN CAVE.
Hi Wayne I notice a small bump in the red fender top but it looks really good I'm still waiting for mine to arrive also I had a leaflet about the Eddie stobart lorry kit
It still remains to be seen if the newer version replacement of the right front door is being sent to us here in America. As of now Eaglemoss customer support here doesn't seem to know what I am even referring to, nor have they sent an email addressing this door problem. If anyone in the US knows anything about this, please reply to this comment.
I'm wondering if you ever got the replacement logo stickers from Mike Lane Mods - I ordered some a bit ago to replace that rear door sticker (that angle was way off) and they seem a bit smaller than the ones that come with it. I'm thinking they might be a bit more screen accurate from the first film but the logos on the Ecto-1 restoration are definitely larger, like the ones that come with the kit.
That's crazy how they designed the LEDs in the side frames. I don't see why they couldn't have designed it so that the light could easily go straight in. Looks to me that the LED could have gone through the square hole behind the lenses housing, without any bending of the wire.
Hi wayne, it seems longer than a month(possibly 5-6 weeks?) since this last stage of the ecto1 car, and was hoping u would have done the next stage by now!
Never over tighten the screws Wayne, you've now got a blister / bruise in the red paint on the FIN / wing. When you screwed the inner fin to the outer fin, you've managed to over tighten one screw and it's bulge on the front of the fin. Real shame as it now looks a bit of a mess. You make mistake so we don't have to ! I am converting mine into a hearse rather than the ghost busters caddy.
Take the small plastic tabs off the are behind the front wheels hanging down. Offer the body front first and then pull the end part apart while you lower down. This should clear the inner frame. Make sure you have no wires snagging too
Another little oddity of my playmobil ecto 1 I've noticed from watching this video, the tail lights are a double light on it, the tube the light fits into extends out the sides of the red fin and the hole at the end is a sort of sideways figure 8 shape, and then the lights are shaped like two side by side cones. DIdn't notice that wasn't what the real one was like until just now, very odd. 3 fog lights per side on the front instead of 2, and a doubled light on the fins at the back, considering the only working lights are the ones on the roof they seem to have gone quite wild putting in extra non-functioning car lights. EDIT: well this is what happens when I leave my comment half way through the video instead of waiting until the end, it is a double light on each fin after all, I was talking nonsense, sorry about that.
Can I ask? Wonder why you need oil on when screwing it? A few days ago, I've looked into it and would love to order and build it. I dunno if it's worth buying it for the longer term and checked your amazing video. Love that ghostbuster car, look incredible and massive! Wow Also, I live in the UK and will it be delivered here?
Hello Wayne. I'm wondering if you've had any recent problems with Eaglemoss as I've not received anything for a month and my email hasn't been answered. If you have no issues then I'll try contacting them again. Many thanks Wayne, keep up the excellent videos! Phil
@@WorldofWayneUK Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, is much appreciated. I have now had contact with Eaglemoss, apparently its the binders that are out of stock.....
It's been 8 months since I have received an issue I cant get any answers from them. If I were anyone in America I would stay clear of eaglemoss. Wayne love you stuff and watching you build keep it up and I will keep watching

waiting to get all pieces before i build. so exciting!
Hi!!
I´d recommend against it, only because you might get a defective part (as I have) and then ask and wait for a reshipment.
I'm jealous but it looks really awesome Wayne.
Hope I’m ok putting this here, can’t wait to start: Fanhome UK have launched Knight Rider Kitt build on their site
Don't that rear fender look so gooood !

Oh Wayne the innuendos 🤣
good video. the car looks big and heavy and it still isn't finished yet, just a little more weight to add,
Raymond "Ray" Stantz: Hey!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Did you missed us?
The whole time you were fitting the LEDs my innuendo alarm was pinging. I’m such a child lol

Just to let you know Wayne, the Bismarck shelve is looking a it bow heavy.

I have quite a few mods for the Ecto-1 from Mike Lane. I’m holding off putting them on until the build restarts as we are waiting parts
@@WorldofWayneUK Ah yeah, you're a lot more meticulous than I am though to be fair my build was half done before I knew mods even existed

I'm trying to figure how to test fit my body, seems like the front is resting on something it needs to slot into, but can't...
Small plastic tabs behind the front wheels need to be removed

How do you get the body on ?? With front on the rear fouls and same of rear on first the front fouls . Trying to make space whilst building

What are those two holes in the last panel in issue 110 for? Are they vents of are they the fuel flap?
I think so. The instructions don't give a lot away
They the hoses that goes to the roof
