OMGoodness !! Am I so glad I found your channel. Your videos are a great blessing to me. I have a Pe800 that I am learning. I have watched a few channels but yours shines above the rest for me! I also have 2 other embroidery machine and have mastered them so I wanted one that would have larger hoop sizes. I have started from the very beginning and I am on video 3. I'm going to binge watch all weekend. I am going to begin some projects I have been putting off. Then as I watch until I am confident to start. I am a very excited new subscriber! Thank you so much for your time talent and devotion to teaching us newbies out here.
Loved this video. I purchased the PE800 and thought I was going to have a hard time understanding how to work it.....but your videos are so informative. Thanks you so much!
Yes the color screen looks like a game changer and very helpful! I always have to have my laptop next to my machine to make sure I am using the right thread color for each step. I hope to upgrade to a new machine next year but I'm looking at multi needle machines :)
I'm not sure if it is really needed, but I would rather be safe than sorry and mess something up. Some fabrics I use for applique are very fragile (like sequins) so I just got in the habit of using the parchment paper every time I iron a finished design.
Thank you I have learned so much. You are a good teacher. You have a cover on your wool pressing pad. Is that a light flannel or cotton? May I ask how tall is your table? I am just setting up my room and trying too decide on the height. Again thanks for your teaching Pamela
HI! I have a seersucker cotton material covering my ironing board. My table is 36" tall. I have a blog post showing how we made it. www.karliebelle.com/diy-craft-table-pegboard/. Thanks so much for watching!
Yes I go over how to go back and all the functions of how to move around on your machine so that you can start right where you want. Watch this Sip & Stitch and fast forward to the 52 minute mark and you can see me do this on my machine ruclips.net/video/atXpKp6U7iI/видео.html
So awesome..I don't have a computer as I use my smart phone for most online searches & such, so I'm limited on the digitizing aspect, however hoping to find some nice designs already on USB. I have Brothers SE625. Most designs are not on USB. (disk or download) Any reputable companies that sell the USB with Beach Designs? Let me know. That is too much work for me. LOL..You did an awesome job..Thanks.👍👍👍
Thanks Fran. So in most cases you are going to need a computer to be able to transfer the digital embroidery design to the USB stick. I did find some USB sticks preloaded with embroidery designs on eBay, but there were THOUSANDS of designs on it and I don't think it will be possible to sort through them on your machine. Plus if they are in folders, you will not be able to view them on your machine.
Hi Karlie.....I'm sort of a newbie and have been watching your videos for a bit....I am having trouble downloading the zip files....turning them into I think it's PES....so confusing....I have a babylock aventura 2....similar to most other babylocks....Can you help? I watched you download something and just move it onto Embrilliance....I also have Embrilliance....So far it's been a challenge....the fonts are easy to embroider on something....It's purchasing an applique (simple applique) then switching it after I download that zipfile thing....I wished I could just download it to PES...at least I think that's the initials..... can you help?
Here is what I like to do: Newborn - 9 mth -- 4x4 9mth - 2T -- 5x7 (vertical) 3T - 5T -- 5x7 (horizontal) Now that I have a bigger machine, I started using 8x8 for 4T and up
An 8x8 would work for a shirt that would be my size (ladies medium) but I don’t think it would be big enough for adult unisex large. Then I would use my 8x12 hoop on my Ricoma those
Yes their should be some basic applique shapes on your machine, depending on which one you have. Try practicing on some cut away stabilizer and scrap fabric :)

I just bought the PE800 and I love it because it's a color screen
Yes the color screen looks like a game changer and very helpful! I always have to have my laptop next to my machine to make sure I am using the right thread color for each step. I hope to upgrade to a new machine next year but I'm looking at multi needle machines :)
That is so cute. I love it. It has given me the encouragement that I need to try it myself. Awesome!!!
Thank you so much!!
Awesome Tutorial 😊
Thanks 🙂
Why do you iron with the parchment paper at the end? I’m a beginner and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you sharing your knowledge!!
I'm not sure if it is really needed, but I would rather be safe than sorry and mess something up. Some fabrics I use for applique are very fragile (like sequins) so I just got in the habit of using the parchment paper every time I iron a finished design.
I do have a HE_240 one to I bought the pe-800 because the color screen and the hoop size

Have you made a video on going back to a stitch on.your pe 800?

How do you decide how big to make your designs on each age T-shirt? Do you have a general rule of thumb? I’m so confused! Thank yiu
Here is what I like to do:
Newborn - 9 mth -- 4x4
9mth - 2T -- 5x7 (vertical)
3T - 5T -- 5x7 (horizontal)
Now that I have a bigger machine, I started using 8x8 for 4T and up
@@KarlieBelle thank you! I think I still have my vinyl head on of trying to make it a certain measurement! That’s really helpful x
@@KarlieBelle do you do 8x8 even for adults? Thank you x
An 8x8 would work for a shirt that would be my size (ladies medium) but I don’t think it would be big enough for adult unisex large. Then I would use my 8x12 hoop on my Ricoma those
Is there a pattern for the skirt, its just too cute
Yes I used Dana's tutorial @madeeveryday
@@KarlieBelle Thank you very much 😊
Can I appliqué using preset designs? I just got pe800 this week but videos show downloaded files.
Yes their should be some basic applique shapes on your machine, depending on which one you have. Try practicing on some cut away stabilizer and scrap fabric :)
Mm
